Happy Halloween!

Hey!

Happy Halloween to y'all! Hope you are all enjoying a few Trick or Treat Spooky Sweets! I sure have had my fill, it's raining here and windy too so we only had a couple of treaters knock at the door, which means all the more for me! LOL!

Anyway, I thought I'd pop in this evening with my last Halloween card for this year...

I used a few Uniko Studio digital products to make this hybrid card and used the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

I've been asked by a couple of customers about colouring images digitally so I am working on a couple of video tutorials this week to hopefully share with you at the weekend.

That's all from me today though so Happy Haunting & stay safe!

A Few Things...

Hey!

Wow, what a busy weekend and start to the week here in The Studio. It's been that busy I haven't had time to ink my stamps and make a card :(

So instead I thought I'd share a few cards I've spotted around blogland...

First up are these beauties from Deborah...

Pure Florals: Gerbera paired with Wonderful Washi in such calming pastel tones is simply stunning. I love how the longest Washi ribbon draws you down to the sentiment on the card.

How about some gold snowflakes?

Deborah used Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time to create this wonderful Christmas card, such perfect embossing. Be sure to check out Deborah's blog HERE to see more stunning creations.

Next up is Sue...

This CAS Pure Florals: Gebera card is just perfect, the placement and colouring and the choice of sentiment is just lovely.

Sue has also been using the Super Free Saturday kit from September to make this Halloween card...

Be sure to pop over to Sue's blog HERE to see more lovely creations.

I've one more card to share with you today from Vicki...

Vicki has used this months Super FREE Saturday kit that was released on Saturday HERE and you can download it HERE. I LOVE that big red bauble paired with the chevrons, this card has certainly got me in the Christmas spirit. Be sure to pop by Vicki's blog HERE, she has many wonderful projects to admire.

So in other news, the NEXT Uniko Studio release is just around the corner and I can't wait to start sharing peeks with you all!

I am also doing a Uniko Studio demo at The Paper Lane in Northallerton on Saturday 1st December 11 - 2pm. I am also running a CAS Christmas card class after the demo, for more information and to sign up for the class visit The Paper Lane website HERE.

I think that's all for today, I do hope all those on the East Coast are safe and well, thinking of you all who are and have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

More ho ho ho - let it snow!

Hey!

I'm back today with more Super FREE Saturday 'ho ho ho - let it snow'! If you missed the fun yesterday you can check it all HERE. If you download and use the kit I'd LOVE to see what you create so don't forget to add a link to your project in the link tool or email me a photo!

For my first card today I broke away from snowflakes for one card and whipped this hybrid card up...

I used layers and my paint bucket tool to make this card and it's quite easy, I promise to do a little tutorial at some point this week to share some tips with you all.

Once I had printed my bauble panel I used the PTI Bottle Hanger Die to cut it out and just trimmed off the bottle hanging section. A splash of glitter on the baubles, some striped ribbon and a few rhinestones finished it off...

I couldn't stay away from the snowflakes for long...

This time I paired it with some Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time snowflakes! There's plenty of glitter and sparkle on this card thats for sure...

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects and little video! I'm squeezing in a little inky time this morning to create some cards to share with you this coming week :)

Have a good day & thank you for stopping by!

Super FREE Saturday!

Hey!

Whoop Whoop! It's that time of the month for another Super FREE Saturday. If your not sure what it's all about it's explained HERE in the very first Super FREE Saturday post. So, this month we're getting into the Holiday Spirit with a bit of 'ho ho ho - let it snow'!

Here's a pic of what's contained in this months FREE download...

This FREE kit available for download HERE from the Uniko Studio website contains 4 digital stamps that come in a brush and a PNG file and 3 patterned papers in JPG format in both A4 and US Letter size. Not bad for a freebie - huh!

How about a couple of cards showing you what you can do with this kit...

I love, love LOVE snow & snowflakes! So I decided to use the polka dot paper and the 'let it snow' digital stamp sentiment to make this CAS card that would be super easy to mass produce in no time at all!

Another contemporary and classy colour combo Red, White & Kraft - yum! A bit of added sparkle with rhinestones and glitter tops it off to perfection!

One thing I love about my job is designing something I've wanted and needed in order to get a start on my Christmas cards and that was a 'let it snow' sentiment! So, I couldn't resist making another card using it!

Another contemporary and classy colour combo on this card and another of my FAVES! For this card I used the Wonderful Washi stamp set, I hear you say "where"!

I used one of the larger Washi stamps and stamped it onto the reverse of each of the patterned papers contained in the kit in a light ink so that I could cut a perfect Washi ribbon! Once I had cut the Washi ribbons out I added some Hero Arts Prisma Glitter to all the white patterns, glitter is ESSENTIAL when creating Christmas cards!

Ok, so that's enough from me how about a look at how the Design Team & Digital Design Team have used the kit...

Be sure to pop on by the website to download the 'ho ho ho -  let it snow' kit and the Autumn SALE is still on!

I'd LOVE to see what you create using the freebie so post a link to your project below or email me a photo and I'll load it to the Uniko Studio Flickr site HERE and link it up here too!

I'll be back again tomorrow with a couple more SFS 'ho ho ho let it snow' cards to share with you. Thanks for stopping by today.

10 Minutes Spare!

Hey!

I'm here today to share a card I made in less than 10 minutes for the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge seen HERE and below...

Being a CAS kinda girl I love a quick card and I also love it when it actually turns out how I intended it to! Here's my card...

This card took me 9 minutes 41.5 seconds. It took a little longer than I thought due to lining up the die cuts to stamp on so the pattern would match that on the card and also because I decided to stamp the sentiment in black ink rather than Hawaiian Shores which I had intended.

Here's a close up of the star detail...

I just LOVE this colour combo on a dull Autumn day, it sure brightens up The Studio! That's all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share.

Thanks for stopping by.

Autumn Neutrals

Hey!

Autumn is definitely in full swing here in the UK, the weather so far this week has kept me in The Studio working & not wanting to go outside! Anyway, I have an Autumnal masculine birthday card to share with you...

I was inspired not only by the weather to make this card but also by the current Less is More Challenge HERE, which is Autumn!

I decided to keep my card to Autumn Neutrals as I knew I wanted to used Uniko Studio Background Builders Lattice stamps to create a background and if I started adding a lot of colour it would have got a little busy and not so CAS.

I used another Memory Box Die I have had for a while but haven't seem to have used! I think I need to come up with a system of making sure I use stash instead of stashing it! Lol!

That's all from me today, I hope your all having a good week so far? We're half way to the weekend and halfway closer to the next Uniko Studio Super FREE Saturday! Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by.

Bursting with THANKS!

Hey!

Monday's have never been my favourite day of the week and if your the same I have a card to share with you that uses a BRIGHT and cheery colour combination...

This is colour combination seems to be one of my go to combinations and I kinda like it! I started this card by using the current Retro Sketch sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card...

The die is Tilda Swirl from Memory Box and I have had it for quite some time but have never gotten round to using it, I have to admit I probably have a lot of supplies that haven't seen day light! Anyway, this die is wonderful for adding a 1 3/4" circle to the centre as plenty of those bursting petals still show. I selected one of the labels from Label Love: Thank you and added of the THANKS sentiments from the same set. The circle label is adhered to the die cut using foam pads and then just the centre of the die cut is adhered flat to the card.

That's all from me today, I'm off for a walk to the Post Office this morning and then a day of drawing and designing :) I hope you all have a good day, thanks for stopping by.

Celebrate!

Hey!

Yesterday was a FABulous day here at Uniko Studio as I got to introduce my newest DT and Digital DT members :) If you missed it you can catch up on the news HERE. I also had a wonderful day getting inky and making lots of projects to share with you all over the next few days.

As I was in a celebratory mood yesterday the card I'm sharing with you reflects just how I was feeling...

I started off with a colour combination which I found on a new to me challenge blog HERE called Just Us Girls. Their current challenge is this colour combo seen HERE and below...

I kept my card neutral using the white & grey with just a splash of each of the 3 colours. I combined 3 Uniko Studio Clear Stamp sets on this card, Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time, Background Builders - Lattice and FONTiments - Birthday.

Instead of fussy cutting out the doilies I used a 1 3/4" circle punch for the larger doily and a 1" circle punch for the smaller doily...

That's all from me today, I'm spending a bit more inky time in The Studio this morning before dinner and I've a few orders to pick and pack for posting on Monday so I best get to it if I'm going to get done what I intend to.

I hope you all have a lovely day, thanks for stopping by.

NEW Additions...

YAY!

The day is here and I finally get to introduce the NEW Additions to the Uniko Studio Design Team. Happy Dance!

First of all I would like to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to everyone who took the time to send in an application to be on the team. I had an overwhelming response to the call and some tough decisions to make. For those who were not selected this time around there will be more design team calls and opportunities here at Uniko Studio in the future.

Without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to the first newest member of the design team who also happens to be Stamping Royalty...

I am head over heels with excitement to have Amber on the team and privileged to have ROYALTY on my team! Here's a little introduction from Amber...

Hello!  I am super excited to be a part of the Uniko Studio Design Team.  I think the products are fabulous and I hope that I can help inspire your creativity!  I am a stay at home mom to three amazing kids.  My boys are 10 and 11 and my daughter is 7.  Before becoming a mom, I worked as a Veterinary Assistant.  My husband just retired from the United State Marine Corps in September.  We decided to settle down in Henderson, NV, which is a suburb of Las Vegas.  We absolutely love it here!

I have been stamping since 2008 and have recently gotten more into scrapbooking too.  I just love playing with all of the yummy supplies and expressing my creativity. It's so much fun for me!  I would describe my style as clean, simple, and bright.  I looove glitter and anything that sparkles!  I can't wait to share my creations with you! =)

Check out Ambers wonderful creations at Bella Rose Cards.

The next newest member to the Uniko Studio design team had me picking my jaw from the floor when I saw her fabulous creations on her application! So, without further ado I'd like to introduce you to...

I'm dancing a very happy dance with excitement and I can't wait to see Stacey's creations using Uniko Studio products! Here's a little introduction about Stacey...

What a great opportunity it is to design for Uniko Designs by Beverley Parish! I love the clean style and versatility of the Uniko Design stamps and digital papers! As a busy wife, mom of three, and full time teacher, I look forward to my therapeutic stamping and paper-crafting time:) It is so exciting to work with Beverley and the other amazing designers here at Uniko Design as we create projects that inspire the crafty side in you, too!

Check out Stacey's jaw dropping creations at Stacey's Stamping Stage.

I am truly honoured to have these amazing ladies join my already FABulous design team & can't wait for the next Uniko Studio release!!

BUT STOP, WAIT.... that's not everyone!!!

As I said I had such a hard time choosing from all the applicants that I couldn't stop there! I decided that I needed a few more fabulous design team members to help showcase all the Uniko Studio Digital products, so I'd like to introduce you to the 3 NEW members of the Uniko Studio Digital Design Team...

I've only known this first member of the Uniko Studio Digital Design Team for a short time and already she is an amazing addition to the team, so I'd like to introduce you to...

I just know Ren-Yi is going to be a delight to work with and I'm super excited to have her on board. Here's a little introduction from Ren-Yi...

"Hello everyone - first off, I am delighted for this amazing opportunity to join the Uniko Digital Design team. I am looking forward to getting to know Beverley and my new teammates.

A few little fun facts about myself: I am a foodie and crafting addict. Be it baking, cooking, crocheting, cross-stitching or paper crafting, I am always up for trying something new. I'm currently trying to expand my paper crafting horizons with some scrapbooking and there is an upcoming glass beading workshop I am dying to try out.

I am a Software Engineer by day, so my creative monster comes out at night and weekends. If my experiments involves the kitchen or the outside grill, then my family, friends and boyfriend become my guinea pigs taste testers. My other vices include retail shopping for crafting supplies, too much TV (while crafting) and listening to music (while cooking).

I live in New Jersey and love the many outdoorsy opportunities, such as kayaking, biking, or hiking. Most of it is chronicled on my wee little blog space called Smallhanded Adventures. Please don't be shy and feel free to stop by to say hi. If there is any one thing I have learned about the blog world is how awesome the online community is. I have been so lucky to make some new lasting friendships along the way. And I welcome any new connections :)"

Check out Ren-Yi's creations at smallhanded adventures

The second member of the Digital Design Team I'd like to introduce is just as excited to being team as I am to having her on my team...

When I saw Nicki's style I knew she would be the perfect addition to the team. You can check out Nicki's creations at Dream Create Inspire. Below is a little bit about Nicki...

I have always been crafty, but when I discovered stamping about 11 years ago, it became my all time favorite craft and hobby. I get so much joy creating something beautiful or eye-catching! Primarily I make cards, but once in a while I'll step outside my comfort zone and create a non-card item. I love experimenting with all different kinds of techniques and styles.

I've been on a few design teams, and have really enjoyed being part of a team and sharing my ideas and creativity with others. I'm extremely excited to be a part of Uniko Studio's Digital Design Team and look forward to all the fun things ahead!

And lastly but no means least is the final member of the Digital Design Team...

I just love Erika's style of card making and scrapbooking as it is a style that is completely different from mine. You can check out Erika's elegant creations along with amazing photography at Erika Selander Photography.

Here's a little introduction from Erika...

My name is Erika Selander and I am living on a small farm in the northern parts of Sweden. I live here together with my partner Johan and our animals. We have quite a few animals so work part time here at the farm and part time as a graphic designer and photographer.

I love anything that has to do with crafting, and I have always had a need to use my hands to make things. I have been scrapbooking and making cards for many years and I still love it. My style has changed several times over the years and I find new ways of doing things. Right now I would say I have an elegant and simple style.

My favorite thing about scrapbooking and card making is stamping and die cutting. I use stamps and dies on almost every project I make and I love to find new ways of using my materials.

I find my inspiration everywhere and you just have to enjoy life and the world around you to get new ideas.

WOW! I'm exhausted with all the excitement and overwhelmed with how FABulous and talented my  existing and new Design Team & Digital Design Team members are and I am truly blessed, lucky and privileged that they all wanted to be on the team & help Uniko Studio grow!

Well that's all from me today, links to all the Design Team Members blogs are on the side bar. I do hope you will pop by their blogs and say 'Hi' and leave a welcoming comment below :) Don't forget there is an Autumn Sale on over on the website HERE!! I'll be back tomorrow with more to share.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Quick Hello!

Hey!

Just popping in with a quick Hello card to share with you all...

I was inspired by the current Runway Inspired Challenge seen HERE and below. What caught my eye was the diagonal stripes on the pocket of the striped top & I immediately thought of two stamps from Wonderful Washi which perfect for this card!

Here is a little close up of the detail...

That's all I have to share for today, I do hope you will pop by the blog tomorrow to meet the new additions to the Uniko Studio DT! I'm super excited about these talented ladies joining the already fabulous team and can't wait to see them in action with Uniko Studio products!

Winter Wishes...

Hey!

Today I have a Winter Wishes card to share with you all, first of all though I want to apologise for the poor quality of the photograph my usual camera is out of action and I am having to use my iPhone camera until Sunday when hopefully I will be able to borrow one off my in-laws. Everything seems to be going on the blink this week which is certainly testing my patience! Anyway moan over, onto the card...

Gayatri one of my FAB design team members introduced me to this NEW sketch blog HERE called CAS(E) this Sketch as she is on their DT too as she is a Queen at CAS. So, I saw the current sketch HERE and seen below and instantly ideas were popping into my head so this evening I squeezed in a few minutes of inky time to make the card above.

As you can see I got a bit carried away with adding bling! I also heat embossed the doily snowflakes with Crystal EP it's much more sparkly IRL.

That's all from me today, there is much to be done here as I prepare to introduce you all to the newest members of the Design Team here on the blog on Saturday. There is also another Super FREE Saturday just over a week away!

Be sure to check out the Autumn Sale too over on the website HERE, there are some BARGAINS to be had and for a limited time only!

Thanks for stopping by.
