It's time for the next challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight is a CASE challenge, with your own twist. This month we have an awesome muse, Alice from Alice's {Little} Wonderland and this is the FABULOUS creation we are CASEing...
Here's my take...
I was mainly inspired by the layout of Alice's card and also the cute little cactus Alice used, but as I don't own any type of stamp that is or resembles a cactus I opted for my Uniko Rustic Christmas Tree instead. It is kinda prickly, right?
Instead of layering washi tape/papers and fussy cutting out the tree I simply stamp the Grunge Grid from SU! in Crumb Cake ink also from SU! onto my card base, but I stamped it off lightly first so the colour didn't come out too dark. I then over stamped the Rustic tree in Hint of Pesto VersaMagic ink.
I did however fussy cut out a tiny red bird from the same set and just adhered it to the card using double sided tape, but having it cut out just added a bit more dimension than just stamping it onto the card. It also replicates the red flower on Alice's cactus. The sentiment is also from the set and the set will be back in stock this weekend, along with some highly requested sets!
Ok, that's all from me today, but there is much more inspiration over at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Rema, be sure to stop by Rema's Blog HERE to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team...
What a clever idea! And the grid background really grounds the tree x
