CAS Colours & Sketches #214

Hey!

It's Tuesday and time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. My apologies for being MIA last week, with the recent Uniko Release HERE and two crazy beans I was so exhausted by the time they went to bed I didn't have the energy to craft :(

Anyway, I am back this week and I've a card to share using THIS weeks sketch by our lovely hostess this month Patricia...

I had so many ideas for this sketch as it is so fun and versatile, this is what I settled on...

Since seeing this weeks challenge over at "Less is More" HERE, which is a theme of leaves and a one layer challenge week I've been itching to ink up Natures Treasures I and join in! So, I combined the challenges ;)

I used a die cut circle mask and my trusty MISTI to stamp 3 of the leaves from the set in 3 different Stampin' Up! ink colours, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive and Lucky Limeade. The sentiment is from Pure Florals: Cosmos and I chose this sentiment as it is one of the longest sentiments I have and represents the sketch beautifully.

Anyway, be sure to check out all the Design Team inspiration HERE on the CAS Colours & Sketches blog and I hope to see you in the gallery :) Challenge End Time: 6:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time/11:00 p.m. London U.K. time Monday, March 6, 2017

Lucky Green

Hey!

Firstly, thank you to all of you for your kind comments & best wishes yesterday, they really mean a lot to me :)

Today I am back with a card using my favourite lucky green, Lucky Limeade from Stampin' Up! I'm not a big lover of the colour green when it comes to card making, but it has grown on me over the years and I have to say this shade is so vibrant and happy.

This card was inspired by the current challenge over at The Card Concept HERE and seen below. When I saw the inspiration photo I first thought of Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum for this card (maybe next time), but then changed my mind and decided to do some stamp building using the small & large leaves from Flower Power #6.

The sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments #3, I can never have enough thank you cards! Here is a close up of the stamp building using the leaves...

Clean and simple plus short & sweet from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with a new TIME OUT Challenges card, so until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Ombre Lattice

Hey!

WOW! What a fabulous Design Team blog hop yesterday, so many FABulous projects using the Background Builders: Lattice stamp, I really enjoyed it! Did you? If you missed the fun yesterday there is still time to join in on the fun HERE and win yourself the prize.

So for the month of March leading up to the next release here at Uniko Studio I gave the DT the task of revisiting the Background Builders: Lattice stamp so you'll be seeing this set popping up on projects throughout the month.

Today's card is one of those projects I've used it on...

Still keeping those green ink pads well & truly dusted off I decided to have a go at the Ombre trend that is still going strong. I started out by stamping the darkest green at the bottom of my card & working my way up to the lightest.

I even tried to achieve the ombre effect on the label...

I did this by inking the label stamp first with the lightest ink then the middle green moving the ink pad lower down the stamp and then with the darkest green just touching the lower edge of the stamp. I'm pleased how it turned out.

The perfect ombre green birthday card for a St Patricks Day baby! Moxie FAB World have an Ombre challenge HERE on their blog and The Pink Elephant HERE have a 'Green' challenge, so my card fits perfectly into both of those challenges!

Two challenges defo worth having a go at! Don't forget to join in on the Uniko Studio March DT Blog Hop HERE & be in the chance of winning the set, all you have to do is comment along the way!

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by!

Glorious Green!

Hello!

A little later than usual with my post today, but I'm back with a glorious green card to share with you...

Not my usual 'go to' colour, but I've been sorting out my card stock scraps into a new system in the studio & landed upon 2 greens I haven't used for sometime. I layered in some fresh white to break the greens up.

I inked up my trusty pocket watch stamp from TIME and also the Happy Birthday sentiment to create a masculine card for my stash, you can never have too many masculine cards! This is perfect for the current Addicted to CAS challenge HERE which is all about masculine cards.

I also used the NEW Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card, I kept the sketch as is and didn't change things up too much, keeping things simple today!

Sketches are a fun way to spark creativity & I find them useful to stretch my supplies in ways I hadn't thought of. I'm sure I'll be using this sketch again in the future with different stamps, colours etc...

That's all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow at some point to share another project or two. Thanks for stopping by.

Holiday Spirit...

Hey!

Well, I'm back on schedule for today with a post - yay! Fingers crossed I'm getting back into the groove. I'm also getting into the Holiday Spirit here in The Studio as I prepare for the November release of some Uniko Studio Christmas products, a few of them are SO versatile you'll be using them all year round and not just at Christmas.

Anyway, Ive a Christmas card to share with you today...

I'm still getting used to my new camera and haven't sat down to study the settings yet so I apologise if these are a bit squiffy!

I used the current Retro Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card which was a perfect sketch for using Wonderful Washi and Label Love: Thank you combined!

Here's a little close up of some of the detail...

Ok, so that's all from me today, lots to be done today! Thanks for stopping by.

Shades of Green

Hey!

Nearly back on schedule with posts! Today I used the current Dynamic Duos colour challenge for this card seen HERE and below...

Not my usual colour 'Green', but these 2 greens together with a pop of white turned out well & I'm pleased with this combination of stamps too!

I used the smaller solid & outline leaf from Pure Floral: Gerbera and Label Love: Thank you with the Friend sentiment from Time. Below is a close up...

So that's all from me today, I'm feeling a bit better today so there are a few jobs and things to catch up on before the weekend! Thanks for stopping by.
