Inspired by Chinese Porcelain - DT Post

Hello everyone, Rahmat here. Today I am up with a card inspired by the Chinese Porcelain. For almost a decade I have been living in a Chinese region which is heavily influenced by the Portuguese architecture, and from time to time I do get inspired by the local culture for my cards. Here we have the Portuguese influence of white and blue tiles everywhere. So I have used the colors white and blue from the Chinese Porcelain, but used the Portuguese tile form for the card.

Here is a look of tiled form on the card.

I had used the Beautiful Blooms III set and I love Tea set for the flowers and stamped using Chipped Sapphire Distress ink, all over in random.

I used a white base and added a Pattern paper with text from Doodlebug

I then cut the stamped panel into tiles, and added the panels to replicate the tiles on the top and bottom, leaving some space in the middle for the sentiment.

The sentiment is from Cosmos set, I stamped it using the same ink, and edged the panel with silver glitter paper.

I hope you like my inspiration, and you do try it out.

Supplies:
Uniko Bold Blooms III

Cosmos
PFCosmosPP

White card stock
Chipped Sapphire distress ink
Doodlebug PP
Silver Glitter paper

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

DT inspiration - Tea time

Hello all Rahmat here. I am up with a simple card today!
I am tea person, and all I need is a cup of Indian tea with milk, and fresh ginger and sweet basil at breakfast to start my day.
I used distress inks to  Squeezed lemonade, wild honey, carved pumpkin, and riped permission to sponge the ombre BG. I was aiming for a sunset sky BG. After sponged, I added some water sprinkles on the BG.
I stamped and fussy the cup in Lawn fawn - hippo ink, and fussy cut to add to the front. I used worn lipstick to stamp the floral design. The sentiment is stamped in black on a white strip, and edges using a gold strip on both ends. A few gold jewels to finish off.

Supplies:
Uniko - I LOVE tea clear stamps
Distress inks - carved pumpkin, squeezed lemonade, riped permission, wild honey. worn lipstick
Lawn Fawn - Hippo ink
Archival Black Ink
Water/mist spray for sprinkling
White card stock
Gold paper
Gold rhine stones

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

To kick this FABulous hop off I've created my own Spring themed tea card...

I've had this idea in my head for a few days now and I just needed 10 minutes to sit down to create it! At first I couldn't decide whether to use one of the Flower Power stamps to stamp growing outside the teacup from I LOVE Tea, but settled upon the stem from Originally Organic and the flowers from Originally Organic Additions.

I kept the design CAS and left the images just stamped in the colours and uncoloured. The stem and flowers are fussy cut and I made a small cut along the rim of the teacup to place the stem inside so it would look as if the plant is growing out of the teacup.

That's all I had time to make for today, but I hope that I have inspired you to join in on the fun HERE! But, before I go today, how about another PRIZE?!

Simply leave a comment on this post by 6am (PST) March 31st and I will select one lucky comment to receive an in stock clear stamp set of their choosing from the Uniko website!

I look forward to hopping by and seeing all your wonderful creations, have fun!

My Five Faves From Year 5 of Uniko

Hey!

I'm here today to share my last five faves from year 5 of Uniko, I've really enjoyed this little birthday celebration feature and I hope you have too?! Though I am a little sad it has come to an end, I am also a little happy, because that means tomorrow is February Release Sneak Peek time - Whoop Whoop!

Anyway, let's see what I have chose to share with you today...

I LOVE Tea and Beautiful Blooms III go hand in hand, as you can hopefully see by the card above. They were designed and released at the same time and I just love this card and how it showcases both the clear stamp sets. It makes me long for warmer weather too!

I can't believe I haven't chosen a butterfly card to share as one of my faves yet! So when I came across this one I HAD to add it today! English Country Garden - Butterflies clear stamp set, in a beautiful rainbow of colour. This card makes my heart happy :)

Next I have a Marvellous Mehndi card to share...

When I released this clear stamp set last year and even though it was designed to an emerging and  growing trend this year, I really wasn't sure how customers would respond to it. I was delighted and overwhelmed with the response to it along with the rest of the Sept/Oct 2016 release :)

I couldn't do a five faves without adding a Bob the Toucan card, which also features the Hibiscus flower and leaves from Paradise clear stamp set. Another set partially designed at Uni and partially designed prior to our Wedding announcement.

Lastly, but by no means least my final favourite features Winter Foliage, another popular clear stamp set from the Sept/Oct 2016 release. I chose this card because of how CAS it is, you know I love CAS and this turned out just the way I had envisioned it to :)

Well, that wraps up my Five Faves from year 1 to year 5. What an amazing five years it has been, thanks to YOU! Without YOU I wouldn't enjoy what I do so much. Your love, support and understanding (even more so now) as I juggle day to day life with Uniko and two crazy beans means SO much to me.

THANK YOU!

I do hope you will join me tomorrow, we've LOTS going on?! First we kick off the February Release with some Sneak Peeks?! Then, I've another little FREEBIE for you all ;)

See you soon!
Hugs

A Look Back At 2016!

Hey & Happy Boxing Day!

I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day, I think this year has to of been one of the best for us as a family of four :) Seeing the beans faces as they walked into the front room with all the new toys and train set laid out was a picture. Plus, I just loved every minute watching them play together learning their new toys and then pulling daddy down to the floor to help and play. It truly melted my heart.

Here are a couple of photos from Christmas morning, apologies for my bed head!

Me and Ben the bookworm, checking out the new Peppa Pig books!

Josh admiring the train set

Josh getting stuck in with all the toys!

Anyway, back to the title of this blog post... A Look Back At 2016! This year has been an amazing year for myself personally, but it has been a fantastic year for Uniko. We have had 5 fabulous releases, with 16 new clear stamps sets lining the Uniko HQ shelves.

I don't know about you, but to me this year has almost passed by in a blur! With that in mind I thought it would be nice now the main seasonal festivities are over and as 2016 draws to a close, to take a look back at Uniko's 2016.

Today, I am looking back at the 2016 February Release. This was Uniko's 4th Birthday celebration and I launched 4 clear stamp sets, Beautiful Blooms III, I Love Tea, Some Bunny and Simply Said. So, I dusted the sets off and got to work with the help of my Christmas present from Santa, the MISTI and made a few new cards to share with you...

First up is a card using Beautiful Blooms III, the perfect set to get my MISTI into action! This set features a lovely modern 4 step layering bloom. I decided to only use 3 of the layers, but with the help of the MISTI it was a breeze and such a quicker process.

I've not had the time to sit and 'play' with my stamps or join in with challenges, so I was inspired to join in on the current CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch for the layout of my card seen HERE and below.

I also got my new and neglected Altenew inks out for this card. The sentiment is from Originally Organic, a clear stamp set I will be looking at later in the week, but the sentiments work perfectly with florals, so I couldn't resit using it and showing you how Uniko clear stamp sets can work together for even more possibilities.

Next I was inspired by THIS photo on Pinterest to use I LOVE Tea clear stamp set and replicate some blue and white fine bone china.

The teacups are stamped in Encore Gold ink and again I used my MISTI for this simple stamped image. I don't know if this happens to you, but when I stamp using metallic inks onto smooth card the image can slide slightly. So using the MISTI prevented this from happening :)

The teacups were decorated using the small Beautiful Blooms III image from the I LOVE Tea clear stamp set and the larger bloom from Beautiful Blooms III. As you can see I love to coordinate clear stamp sets when I am designing them! The sentiment is from Simply Said and as I need a few thank you cards post Christmas that was the reasoning behind my choice.

Lastly, but no means least I inked up Some Bunny clear stamp set. Though this set is oriented towards Spring and Easter, it is also a perfect set for New Baby cards, Children's Birthdays and more.

I used the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card and I opted to make a New Baby Congratulations card. No harm in having one of these on hand for 2017, I know a few people expecting next year.

The bunny is such a fun and cute image, perfect for those who like to colour. But it also suits some paper piecing, for when you are short on time! The congratulations sentiment is another from Simply Said.

So, that's a quick look back at the February 2016 Release, I hope I have given you a little inspiration to dust off these sets if you have them ;) There is a small amount of 3 of the sets in stock on the website and I have planned some restocks to arrive in January.

I hope you will join me again tomorrow, when I will be taking a look back at the 2016 April Release. Until then, thank you for stopping by.

Hugs

To kick this FABulous hop off I've created my own Autumn themed card...

So on my card today there is a HUGE sneak peek at a two stamps (part of a set) coming soon ;) I'm in the process of making samples for the upcoming Uniko Sept/Oct product release, so I couldn't help but use one of the new stamps on my card.

It is such a versatile stamp and can be used for all seasons really, but it looks awesome coloured in Autumn/Fall colours too!

Here is a little close up of the detail...

The coffee cup is from I LOVE Coffee, stamped with the second sneak peek and coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment is a mix from I LOVE Tea and the coffee part partially stamped from I LOVE COFFEE.

CAS Colours & Sketches #179

Hey!

I'm here today with my CAS Colours & Sketches DT card for this weeks challenge. Excited again, as I am hosting the challenges over there this month, which means I have picked the colour combinations and designed the sketches for you to use and hopefully inspire you to create and play along :)

This week HERE, is sketch week and this is the sketch I came up with...

A fun and super simple sketch (well I think so), allowing for your creativity to flow :) Anyway, this is how I used it...

Again I have gone for a tropical theme. I am just loving the new hibiscus flower from the new Uniko Paradise clear stamp set ;)

This time I have paired it with the I LOVE Coffee clear stamp set and a mix sentiment from I LOVE Tea. My reason for this is because of the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is taking place right now! There is so much fun happening over HERE right now, with so many wonderful prizes up for grabs, including one from Uniko! PLUS I have a giveaway on THIS post, be sure to stop by and comment for a chance to win.

With a tropical card, I needed tropical colours and it just so happens that this weeks colour combination at the Color Throwdown HERE and seen below are tropical.

I kept my card really simple, stamping the coffee cup and sentiment first in black ink. I then stamped the hibiscus flowers in SU! Pixie Pink and Melon Mambo with the centre in Summer Sun. The panel is mounted onto a Lucky Limeade card base using foam adhesive, after rounding the bottom right corner. I added two white enamel dots to represent the sketch details.

That's all from me just now, I hope to be back later with more to share. For now though I am off to enjoy a few bean free hours and the sunshine!

Be sure to check out the CC&S Design Team inspiration HERE and I hope to see you in the gallery too this week!

Thanks for stopping by :)
