Brand Ambassador Inspiration - One layer Christmas card made with non-Christmas stamps

Hi there!

Hannelie here showing a Christmas card made with a floral stamp set... and it's one layer for super easy mailing!

I used a simple triangle mask to create my Christmas tree. Mine was cut with my Silhouette cameo, but you can use a die or even cut a mask with a ruler and craft knife. I blended some light green ink with the mask in place and then started stamping the largest bloom of the Kindness-blooms-clear-stamp-set . I stamped from the bottom up , dark to light, simply overlapping the flowers. I then used the dot from the set to decorate the tree and the flower center for the star on top of the tree. I used the word "JOY" from Festive-sentiments-outlined-clear-stamp-set as the trunk of the Christmas tree. Finally added some glossy accents to the 'baubles' and added tiny dots of gold liquid pearls to the star.

I hope this will inspire you to be creative with your supplies !

Thanks for stopping by today :)

DT Inspiration Rahmat - No line coloring on One layer

Hello everyone Rahmat here.

I am up with a one layer card with no line water coloring today!

I have used the Snowdrop set here.
I used Vaersamark watermark ink to stamp the image and used Staedtler Marsgraphic 3000 duo brush pens to water color. I could have finished it in one day, but I had taken time to color this one, and finished it over 2 days(approximately 2 hours in total).
Once I was happy with the coloring, I used the Natures treasures set to stamp the grass using Stampin' Up - Wild Wasabi ink. I then added some glossy accents to the flowers.
Once it was dry, I added the green splatters.
Finally stamped the sentiment to finish off.
Day 1

Finished coloring

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

CAS Colours & Sketches #263 - Sketch

Hey!

This month our hostess is Fiona and she started things off with a fun colour combo last week and HERE this week has this super sketch to inspire your CAS card making...

So many wonderful ideas sprung to mind when I sat down to create my card, this sketch has so many options. However, this is how I decided to use it...

I decided to make a one layer card and I also wanted to join in on the current challenge over at AAA Cards HERE, who's current challenge is ombré.

Life is a Song is one of the February 2018 Release clear stamp sets that I didn't give much inky love to, so I thought I would use it. I used my MISTI to stamp the ombré diagonal lines in opposing corners and also to stamp the ombré music sentiment.

Super simple from me today, but I hope I have inspired you to join in on the challenge?! If you need a little more inspiration, pop on over HERE to see what the CC&S Design Team have created.

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS Colours & Sketches #256 Sketch

Hey!

I am back THIS week and again your hostess for the January challenges over at CAS Colours & Sketches. I loved seeing how you were all inspired using last weeks colours. This week is sketch week and I have this to inspire you (hopefully)...

Cute stamps are not my 'go to' when it comes to purchasing or using and I haven't really designed that many either! However, when I saw the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Party Pandas, I couldn't resist and they landed in my recent order ;)

Having seen the current challenge HERE over at "Less is More" I decided to ink one up for my one layer card using my sketch.

I thought she could be holding a Valentine's envelope in her paws, so I decided to ink a masked die cut heart and added some Uniko love sentiments from Simply Said Blocks and Pure Florals: Rose.

A pretty quick CAS card and not much waffle from me today, I've a Ben Bean day today and there is much playing and learning to be done!

I hope thatI have inspired you to join in on the challenge?! If you need a little more inspiration, pop on over HERE to see what the CC&S Design Team have created.

Thanks for stopping by!

Uniko Sponsors "Less is More"

Hey & Happy Weekend!

I'm super duper pleased you have popped by this morning as today the countdown to the October Release continues AND myself and Uniko are proud to be sponsoring the challenges over at "Less is More" this month  - YAY!

This week is one layer week and the theme is stars, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to create another Guest Design / Sponsor card!

It seemed totally appropriate to ink up Background Builders: Seeing Stars clear stamp set from the September 2017 Release and I just *had* to pair it with a NEW Uniko Stencil being released on Monday - whoohoo!

Can you tell that I am just a little excited about this new product?!

Last weekend I treated myself to some more Distress Oxide inks and I have used Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry with this fun Wonky Stripe stencil. I did some simple masking on my base card before applying the ink and blending them to create a lovely purple shade too :) I still nee a little practice with stencils, but I am loving these inks!

I then used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment from Festive Sentiments and the stars in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed them with Stardust EP. The birthday sentiment is from Happy Succulents and I went in and added a few tiny stamped stars.

I hope I have inspired you to join in on the fun?!

That's all from myself for now, but be sure to head on over HERE to see what the "Less is More" Design Team have created to inspire you and to join in on the fun too. I hope to see you in the gallery!

I'll be back AGAIN soon with the last of the October 2017 product introductions!

CAS Colours & Sketches #214

Hey!

It's Tuesday and time for another CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. My apologies for being MIA last week, with the recent Uniko Release HERE and two crazy beans I was so exhausted by the time they went to bed I didn't have the energy to craft :(

Anyway, I am back this week and I've a card to share using THIS weeks sketch by our lovely hostess this month Patricia...

I had so many ideas for this sketch as it is so fun and versatile, this is what I settled on...

Since seeing this weeks challenge over at "Less is More" HERE, which is a theme of leaves and a one layer challenge week I've been itching to ink up Natures Treasures I and join in! So, I combined the challenges ;)

I used a die cut circle mask and my trusty MISTI to stamp 3 of the leaves from the set in 3 different Stampin' Up! ink colours, Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive and Lucky Limeade. The sentiment is from Pure Florals: Cosmos and I chose this sentiment as it is one of the longest sentiments I have and represents the sketch beautifully.

Anyway, be sure to check out all the Design Team inspiration HERE on the CAS Colours & Sketches blog and I hope to see you in the gallery :) Challenge End Time: 6:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time/11:00 p.m. London U.K. time Monday, March 6, 2017

CAS Colours & Sketches #211

* This is my 2nd post today, if you have come for the Uniko February & 5th Birthday Introduction of Originally Organic Additions CLICK HERE*

Hey!

This month over at CAS Colours & Sketches, we have the lovely Jane as hostess and as usual Jane has some FAB challenges for us. This week another color challenge HERE and seen below.

We've used Stampin' Up colour names for reference; however, you may use any companies' products for your cards as long as you match our colours as closely as possible. You may also use neutral colours (white, cream, kraft, brown, grey, or black) for card layers, sentiments, and image outlines. However, in order to be considered for our weekly winners, you must not use any other colours.

Don't forget to keep your creation CAS too ;)

This is what I came up with using the colours...

When I saw the colours I knew they were perfect to use for the clear stamp set Originally Organic Additions, which the Uniko Design Team and I are introducing today HERE. So I set to making another card using the colours.

I've opted for a one layer card. I simply stamped the heart wreath in Cucumber Crush, offsetting the image over the side of the card slightly for interest, but making sure the sentiment would still fit inside. I then filled in the gaps stamping two of the outline flowers in Watermelon Wonder and Peekaboo Peach.

Anyway, be sure to check out all the Design Team inspiration HERE on the CAS Colours & Sketches blog and I hope to see you in the gallery :) Challenge End Time: 6:00 p.m. Eastern U.S. time/11:00 p.m. London U.K. time Monday, January 13, 2017

Super FREE Saturday Returns!

* This is my 2nd post this morning, if you missed the February 2017 Release Sneak Peeks click HERE*

Hey!

Yep, those of you who have been following Uniko for a while may remember a feature I had a few years ago called Super FREE Saturday. It was a featured I did roughly every month, where I  designed a little digital freebie for you all to use. Some were pre coloured, ready to print and cut others were outline images for you to colour.

Anyway, I thought I would reintroduce the feature and again it will be every other month in between releases. I know it IS release month this month, but we're celebrating so I couldn't resist having an 'extra' freebie for you all to use ;)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/scpjhn5lwly4s9o/SFS%20Feb%202017.zip?dl=0

This is a is a beautiful design especially for those who like to colour! It is called 'happy roses' and is a compilation design from a number of Uniko clear stamp sets, Flower Power #6 and Originally Organic. They pair up beautifully ;)

I've created a couple of samples to inspire you and show you how they can be used...

This first card both the floral design and sentiment are printed onto white card stock and I have simply coloured the design with Copic Markers. I used a total of 5 markers and just did simple flat colouring.

My next card is again a one layer card. This time I printed the floral design onto Kraft card stock and coloured it in using Prismacolour pencils.

I opted for two shades of yellow, so that the roses would really 'pop' against the Kraft card stock. The sentiment is stamped and is also a little sneak at a sentiment from a set we will be introducing on Tuesday ;)

Sarah G here crashing the Uniko blog....I love the colouring that Bev has done on this gorgeous image.  I have focused on the digi as an outline image by foiling in gold and hot pink:

Foiling is really hard to pick up in a decent photo but I hope you can see it!  I have more over at my blog....back over to Bev :)

Deborah here to crash the party too! Well, why not? I made a card using these pretty flowers too. Details on my blog:

I'd LOVE to see what you create using this digital stamp! Tag @unikoltd on Facebook and Instagram.

Or why not create a card and link up to our current Anything Goes Challenge with Optional Twist Love HERE or we have our 5th Birthday Linky Party HERE. There are FAB prizes to be won on both these posts ;)

Ok, that is all from me today but I will be back tomorrow with more Sneak Peeks to share and MORE!!

One Layer Note

Hey!

I made time this morning to sit, relax and create, as this afternoon I am back at the hospital for a check up. One of the 'lil beans hadn't grown as much as the other at last weeks scan and they were laid awkwardly so they decided to bring me back a week early.

Anyway, I saw Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge seen HERE and below on Facebook last night and when I saw the butterflies I had a 'lil tiny bit of mojo return.

I know that on a sketch the elements don't have to be the shape as seen on the sketch, but sometimes a literal interpretation is the way forward and gets the creativity flowing...

I chose three of my new WPlus9 ink colours and used a simple masking technique to stamp the butterflies & sentiment. I then added a little bit of glitter for that added sparkle and no bulk to create a one layer note card.

A simple & quick design which would be easy to mass produce to create a gift set of note cards in varying colours. That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today :)
