CAS Colours & Sketches Guest Designer

Hey!

I'm back this afternoon with my third Guest Designer card & post for CAS Colours & Sketches, I'm sure having a lot of fun in the studio at the moment and the colours & sketches for November are certainly 'challenging' me to step outside of my comfort zone! 

Anyway, this week is colour week & these are the yummy colours, they have suggested Stampin' Up! colours but you can use any brand as long as the colours are as close to the challenge as possible.

Such a lovely colour combo and this is what I came up with...

I've been wanting to create a wedding card since I got the November release stamps, but never got round to it during release week. So when I saw the challenge colours I immediately thought, weddings! 

I have combined 4 Uniko clear stamp sets on my card, Jingle Bells, Flower Power #6, Natures Treasures II and Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum. I don't have the SU! colours above, so I used SU! Calypso Coral & VersaMagic Oasis Green. 

All the leaves, flowers & bells are fussy cut out & then layered together on the card & adhered using double sided tape. The sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum is stamped in Silver Encore ink but not embossed with stardust EP like the bells. I finished my card off with a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins for good measure!

What do these words inspire you to create? I was inspired by the word bride, which resulted in this card...

I am loving my Mama Elephant dies I bought with my birthday money and I can't seem to stop using the curved edge die :) I dusted off my All Occasion Sentiments #5 stamp set along with Background Builders: Vines to pair with the die along with my favourite ink colours and card base colour!

Ren-Yi's *Surprise* Bridal Shower!

I'm SO happy you've stopped by today as we're having a celebration for an awesomely talented, sweet, thoughtful & kind friend and Design Team member at Uniko Studio... Ren - Yi :) On the 22nd August Ren-Yi is getting married so I thought it would be lovely to have a *Surprise* Bridal Shower in the form of a link up and add a little more sparkle to her special day. 

So this is for you Ren-Yi, you are such a FABulous member of the blogland crafting community and the Uniko Studio DT, with SO many friends around the world, I hope this linky Bridal Shower adds a little more sparkle for your Wedding Day!

For my card I used Uniko studio Flower Power #6 with All Occasion Sentiments #5. As I don't know Ren-Yi's wedding colours I decided to go bright and cheery and ultra CAS.

Reminiscing...

Hey & Happy Friday!

Today I am reminiscing on recent past events, it's hard not to think about the warmth of the Hawaiian sun & tropical surroundings, especially as it's SO cold here already! The little card I have to share came about from my little indulgence of recollecting my Wedding Day. It's hard to believe it was 5 weeks ago, how time flies.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, onto the card...

A simple black & white card with a 'splash' of colour. A design which could easily be altered & customised to fit in with the Bride & Grooms wedding colours. Plus, the occasion could easily be altered for any occasion. 

I've used quite a bit of dimension on this card using foam adhesive on the white panel & the coloured bloom. These could be substituted for double sided tape to make it more mail friendly. 

Short & sweet again from me today, there is much to be done & some NEW dies to be tested out! Keep an eye out there could be some sneaky sneak peeks!

We both had a fabulous & magical day and we are now enjoying a VERY relaxing honeymoon in Hawaii for just over a week, we then venture back to mainland USA to LA and Vegas.

Introducing...Flower Power #3

Hey & Happy Friday!

It's almost the weekend & almost release day - YAY! Today is the introduction to the next Flower Power stamp set in the series and another of my FAVES...

This set contains wedding / special occasion themed sentiments in the same fabulous font as the two previous Flower Power sets. All the flowers, stems and sentiments in the Flower Power series can be mixed and matched. The set contains a modern Chrysanthemum bloom in both a solid and liner format and some tiny accent stamps.

For my next card using this set I decided to stamp the solid bloom only and added a layered BRIGHT Butterfly die cut. The sentiment comes as 2 stamps in the set which provides an array of sentiment mix & match options.

Congratulations!

Hey!

Today I have a Congratulations card to share, which I made for an old friend who got married at the weekend. As I didn't know the colours for their wedding I kept the colour scheme neutral but classic...

I combined Beautiful Blooms I with the large Congratulations from All Occasion Sentiments #1 and simply embossed them with Cosmic Shimmer True White EP (my FAVE). I added a little touch of glitter to the blooms for it to sparkle & adhered the panel using foam adhesive.

Another CAS card, but my creative juices seem to be flowing again - YAY! So, I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)
