Super FREE Saturday & Uniko Studio Challenge #10

Hey & Happy Weekend!

It's been quite a while since I last launched a Super FREE Saturday collection, but today sees the next collection available for download for FREE from the Uniko Studio website HERE

I had a little brainwave whilst designing this collection and decided it would be fun to coordinate the collection with the current Uniko Studio Challenge #10 HERE. This will make is super easy for everyone to join in on the challenge.

How about a look at the collection...

As you can see I've kept it really simple, it is a printable JPG available in A4 and US letter size. It features all the colours and the theme for this months Uniko Studio Challenge HERE.

Now I've created a couple of cards to show you it in use...

This first  card is SO simple, in Photoshop I used my marque tool to select the circle image and pasted it into a separate document and then I simply printed the document and trimmed it to size and mounted it onto a lilac card base.  Below is a close up of the image...

For my next card I used one of the journal cards...

For this card I printed the A4 sheet of designs & fussy cut out the journal card I wished to use. I also trimmed the Thinking Of You sentiment. The current Freshly Made Sketch layout seen HERE and below lent itself perfectly for this card.

Below is a close up of the detail...

I'd LOVE you to download the collection and join in on the challenge, don't forget the winner of the challenge gets a £10 Gift Certificate to spend in store and a Guest Design spot on the blog!

I hope you've enjoyed today's cards and like this new SFS collection :) That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Still in LOVE...

Hey & Happy Friday!

I'm happy it's Friday, even though it's been a short working week I am missing my husband around the house more and more at the moment. I am getting easily frustrated at not being able to do certain things and when he's home he's there to help me but not only that I'm loving the quality time together :)

Anyway, I'm not here to tell you that I am still in LOVE with my husband, but that I am still in LOVE with Background Builders: Vines, which I've used on todays card...

When I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below I instantly reached for the set! I combined the sketch with the colorQ Challenge colours seen HERE and below as they are perfect too.

I started out by stamping the vine and then randomly stamping the ditsy florals in the challenge colours. I added rhinestones to the larger orange flowers for a little bit of sparkle and a Congratulations sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum.

That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow on the blog with a NEW Super FREE Saturday, I think it'll be a popular freebie as I rather like it and an added bonus is that I've created it to coordinate with the current Uniko Studio Challenge HERE, which makes it super duper easy for everyone to enter :)

Hope to see you here tomorrow, until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Throwback Thursday & TIME OUT Challenge Reminder

Hey!

So I've left you hanging for a couple of days, sorry about that. My trip to the hospital went well (apart from the waiting time!) the lil beans are growing well :) After the scan my MIL and I went baby shopping! We had reserved 2 Moses baskets so went to collect those and then made an impromptu visit to a pram shop, which resulted in an order for the stroller & accessories, 2 car seats & accessories - a successful day all in all. After all that I was rather pooped and didn't get into the studio to create.

Yesterday I got caught up in designing new goodies and hence no energy or crafty time. However, I am back today with another Throwback Thursday card and a TIME OUT Challenge reminder...

This card HERE and below is the one I decided to remake...

And here is my retake on the card...

I didn't change much about the overall design, mainly I changed the colours which were inspired by the current TIME OUT Challenge inspiration seen HERE and below.

Again I was inspired by not only the colours but the fringing on the rug! I used Background Builders: Squared to stamp the yellow and pink strips.

While I'm in the studio & have a little time I am going to indulge in a little more inky time and create a few more cards! So that's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

All time BEST seller...

Hey & Happy Monday!

It's been a HAPPY Monday here at Uniko Studio HQ as it has been a Bank Holiday, which means I've had an extra day off with hubby and a lovely long weekend :) We've spent quite a bit of time in the nursery putting cot beds together and deciding on placement and other furniture and decoration.

Anyway, I did squeeze in a little crafty time this evening to create todays card...

I'm loving the trend of divided panels on cards and I was especially inspired by THIS card by Christina over at My Paper Secret. It's been a while since I inked up my Pure Florals: Gerbera stamp set and seeing as it is the all time BEST seller on the Uniko Studio website it deserved some LOVE!

I used the Color Throwdown colours again for my card seen HERE and above as I wanted the Gerbera to be bright and vibrant. I added a sentiment and strip of ribbon to add some extra interest and finish the card off.

As it's a Bank Holiday here in the UK I decided to send out a little 'Thank You' email with a 15% off your order code. If you missed the email or haven't signed up yet simply enter the code thankyou into the coupon box during checkout and the discount will be applied. The code expires tomorrow 27th May.

To sign up for our newsletter and emails you can HERE and you won't miss out on anything exciting going on here at Uniko Studio!

Ok, that's all I have to share for today, I hope to be back tomorrow with another creation. I'm at the hospital again tomorrow for another scan, so it all depends on how tired I am after that! Until the next time, thank you for stopping by today :)

You've Been Framed!

Hey!

I do hope you're all having a lovely weekend & those in the UK a lovely Bank Holiday weekend?! It's another chill out day here and I might just squeeze in some crafty time before dinner at the PIL :)

I have another card I made the other day during my 'playdate' with Kerry...

Again I will be entering this into the current CASology Flower Challenge HERE. Currently I am loving flowers, bright pink and frames!

The 'lil beans have been really active over the last few days, I'm sure they are getting in some football practice in there! I'm looking forward to my next scan on Tuesday to see how much they've grown, as I've certainly grown - LOL!

Anyway, that's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Happy Flowers!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

I made today's card on Thursday during the 'playdate' I had in the studio with my friend Kerry, but I only got round to photographing it today! Lots of the current challenges in blog land have a theme of flowers at the moment, including the CASology challenge HERE.

This is my CAS creation...

I also used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below. Love the bright colour pallet, so happy and cheery, especially with all this drab and dreary rain we're having at the moment!

I combined one more challenge for this card, the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below. Looking at the circle elements in the sketch I nearly reached for Background Builders: Round In Circles but then decided to use Flower Power #1 as it contains a trio cluster of different sized flowers which I selectively inked and stamped to achieve the sketch layout.

Here is the close up of the sentiment and floral detail...

This afternoon was cot bed building, we achieved one finished cot bed with not too much hassle! I'm kinda lacking in energy now though so it's time to chill on the sofa with hubby and Mr Cat! So, that's all I have to share today, but I will be back tomorrow with another post. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

TIME OUT Challenges - Home Sweet Home

Hey!

Wow, these fortnights are passing SO quickly right now and it's time for the next challenge! This fortnight is the Home Sweet Home challenge where we have a FABulous home inspiration...

And here is my take on the inspiration...

I was inspired by the colours in the photo, hence the kraft card base & notebook page die cut, plus the colours of the fringe throw on the left hand side of the photo. I replicated the stripes of the throw with my ribbon loops and decided to stamp the flowers in the matching colours too.

There were a couple of other challenges which inspired this card, firstly Crazy For CAS HERE which is to use ribbon and or twine. The other challenge is the Addicted to CAS one HERE which is 'Over the Edge'. Both the ribbon loops and the flowers hang over edges on my card!

This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Christine, be sure to stop by Christine's blog to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team...

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations :) I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Inspired by...

Hey!

Today has been another day here in the North East with the sun shining, so I made the most of it as the weather is supposed to change tomorrow with rain, rain and more RAIN! It sounds about right a we have a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK and it always rains on Bank Holidays!

Anyway, I have a card to share with you this evening...

I was inspired by a CASED the awesome Julie Ebersole, I saw this card HERE on Pinterest and I automatically thought of Background Builders: Vines

I was also inspired by the current colours over at Color Throwdown HERE and seen below. Such a Summery colour pallet.

That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day :)

Lattice, Frames & Florals

Hey!

As I said yesterday I had some time to 'play' and made a few cards to share with you this week. Todays card uses a lovely combination of stamps, even if I do say so myself!

This is a mini 10.5 x 10.5 m card. I started by marking the centre with a faint pencil mark both vertically and horizontally in order to stamp the single lattice design all over the base card using grey ink. I started stamping them starting in the centre and working my way outwards in all directions. After rubbing out the pencil lines I coloured the centre lattice image.

I used my square dies to create a mini frame and accented it with a trio of ditsy florals from Background Builders: Vines and a couple of leaves from Natures Treasures I.

That's all for today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

HAPPY colours!

Hey & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? The weather here in the North East of England was B.E.A.U.Tiful! The sun is still shining today, all be it a little cooler with a breeze now & then, but Summer seems to be on its way (well for now anyway!).

With the weather so nice I reached for my HAPPY colours and my large HAPPY sentiment for todays card...

The challenge over at Addicted to CAS HERE is 'Off the Edge'. I think I qualify with my stamped flowers going off the edges of my stamped panel?!

As I've used flowers again it fits into the challenge over at 'Less is More' HERE. I've had a lovely afternoon of creativity and I've made a few cards which I'll be sharing over the next few days :)

That's all from me today, I'm off to enjoy a little more sunshine & relax for a bit before hubby's home from work! I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

[Uniko Studio Challenge] No. 10 - Thinking of You

Hello Uniko Fans - we are back with a new color and theme challenge. It looks like from the comments and feedback on the last challenge, that you all like the new format. As promised I have used random.org to pick a winner from the feedback/comments for a £5 Gift Certificate. It chose comment no.9...

Congratulations Stef (skylark) send me an email to beverley@unikostudio.com and I will send you a code for your Gift Certificate.

We hope you can take a few elements and get your crafting mojo flowing with this new challenge & we look forward to seeing your entries :)

This months color inspiration have some bold, beautiful colors. There are so many trees blooming quickly now after a delayed spring start here. So hopefully there is something in this color palette that will get your crafting mojo going. Feel free to use any or all elements...

And complimenting the colors, the theme this month is an easy one "Thinking of You". It's never a bad time to just send a random card out to friend to remind them how much they mean to you.

Bev here, I selected just 3 of the colours from the palette to create my card...

I decided to combine a sentiment from Flower Power #1, which has perfect sentiments for the theme ;) with Beautiful Blooms I and matching dies. I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card too.

I've kept my card really CAS with minimal fuss, though it does have some dimension, with the flower & white panel adhered using foam adhesive. As I've used flowers it also makes this card perfect for the current 'Less is More' challenge HERE which is to use flowers!

Let's see how the Design Team faired with this challenge...
