A Posy Of Roses

Hey & Happy Sunday!

Well, I've made it to 37 weeks without the beans making an appearance, now they need to stay in just a few more hours until we get to the hospital tomorrow!

Anyway, I've been in the studio this morning, enjoying some last minute card making, todays card is just one that I've created today...

A posy of roses in three shades of pink :) I used the current Crazy for CAS sketch seen HERE and below for my card.

Not much to explain about the card today as it's so clean & simple! Here's a close up of the detail...

Ok, that's all from me today, I'm off to make a few more cards! I'll be back tomorrow with the first of many scheduled posts to keep you entertained!! I might not get links on the Facebook page but they'll be here on the blog.

The next time I pop in with a non scheduled post will be to share some pics of the baby beans :) Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Simple Sympathy

Hey!

Well, another day closer to baby bean day & it sure has flown by! I'm super excited for Monday to come, but I am keeping rested, calm and relaxed, mainly by spending time in the studio creating. My husband won't let me do much else!

Anyway, today I have a simple sympathy card to share with you. It's among the hardest card making categories alongside masculine cards. I tend to keep things really simple like I have on this card...

This is for my bestie Kerry, who sadly grieving the loss of and said goodbye to her Nan the other day. I used Background Builders: Vines and the sentiment from Flower Power #1.

On a brighter note, I have prepared the September Class Kits which is taking place at The Paperlane on September 14th 11am - 2pm, with Caz. There are still places available and all the details on how to book are on the classes page. I've put a little sneak peek together of a few of the cards that you'll be making in the class, the theme this time is 'Cutting Techniques'.

That's all from me today, I'm off to make a couple more cards before I veg out in front of the TV! I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Geometric LOVE

Hey & Happy Friday!

Well, I really don't know where this week has gone, it really has flown by and I can't believe I've only two more days to go before I meet the little bundles! I've certainly been making the most of the 'free' time lazing round the house, napping and watching TV shows while I can!

I've also spent time in the studio making cards, like the one I have to share with you all today...

Again I was inspired by two challenges, firstly the Geometric challenge over at Addicted to CAS HERE and the sketch over at "Less is More" HERE

As you can see I took a very loose interpretation of the sketch and I'm rather liking it! Whenever I'm stuck for a colour combo I always reach for these 3 colours, they make me happy :)

Ok, I'm off to enjoy some more time in the studio creating :) I'll be back tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today.

TIME OUT Challenge - Inspired By Words

Hey!

Today is challenge #13 over at TIME OUT Challenges and we are back to being inspired by words, the phrase for this fortnights challenge is...

If music be the food of love, play on

What do these words inspire you to create? I was inspired by the words music and love, which resulted in this card...

I didn't think I had a music stamp but then remembered that one of the labels from Label Love: Christmas has music sheet on it. I used a sentiment from Flower Power #3 and the rose & leaves from Flower Power #6.

I used the current "Less is More" challenge sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card too.

Such a fun sketch :) Here's a close up of the detail on the card...

This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Rosemary, be sure to stop by Rosemary's blog HERE to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team...

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations :) I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Lucky Green

Hey!

Firstly, thank you to all of you for your kind comments & best wishes yesterday, they really mean a lot to me :)

Today I am back with a card using my favourite lucky green, Lucky Limeade from Stampin' Up! I'm not a big lover of the colour green when it comes to card making, but it has grown on me over the years and I have to say this shade is so vibrant and happy.

This card was inspired by the current challenge over at The Card Concept HERE and seen below. When I saw the inspiration photo I first thought of Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum for this card (maybe next time), but then changed my mind and decided to do some stamp building using the small & large leaves from Flower Power #6.

The sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments #3, I can never have enough thank you cards! Here is a close up of the stamp building using the leaves...

Clean and simple plus short & sweet from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with a new TIME OUT Challenges card, so until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Just a note...

Hey!

Well, I am super happy to report that all went well with my scan today, the beans have grown a whopping pound each again, which means the doctors are happy for me to go in on September 1st to be induced :) So this time next week there will be the pitter patter of 4 tiny feet!!

So to celebrate I spent the afternoon making a couple of cards to share with you over the next few days, starting with this one...

I was inspired by the new CASology challenge HERE and seen below which is letter. I thought of a sending a letter or note card and so I dusted off a couple of stamp sets to create this card.

The 'Just a Note' sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments #1 and the flowers are from Flower Power #2, both of which will be back in stock on the 9th September. I decided to pair the blooms with the leaves from Flower Power #6 which shows how the sets can be mixed and matched :)

That's all from me today, I'm off to assist hubby in baking a cake to celebrate the good news! I'll be back tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today & all your good wishes re: the beans, it means a lot :)

Wishing you brighter days...

Hey & Happy Monday!

It's a Bank Holiday here in the UK and I've been enjoying a lazy day with my husband today, hence the lateness of my post! It's not been raining here, amazingly but it has been a dull day with no sunshine, hence the dull photos of my card and the theme of my card.

Today's card is a bright colour combo and sentiment...

I used a combination of stamps on the card, Wonderful Washi, English Country Garden - Butterflies and the sentiment is from BRIGHT Butterflies.

Now I know I said this two weeks ago, but tomorrow is definitely the LAST scan of the baby beans! We're hoping that they have put on at least half a pound in weight so that the doctors let me go the last few days and be induced on the 1st September. It makes a huge difference when they come to go to school, if they're born before the first they start a year early and are the youngest in their year. If they are born on the 1st September or after they start when they are 5 and they'll be the oldest!

Anyway, fingers crossed that they've put on weight, they certainly feel like they have to me as they sure are heavy at times!! It's an early scan so hopefully I won't have TOO much waiting around and I'll be back tomorrow to update you all!

On other news there is still time to take advantage of this special offer of 20% off your entire order...

That's all from me tonight, I'll be back tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today :) AND THANK YOU to everyone who has already placed an order, you've made my weekend :) and they'll be in the post to you tomorrow.

Eclectic Mix

Hey & Happy Sunday!

The above offer is still on over on the website HERE, if there is something on your wish list don't leave it till the last minute as some stock is running low!!

Anyway, today I have a card using an eclectic mix of stamps and a few of my current favourites...

I love the little filmstrip frame from Strike a Pose! and I've so many ideas floating round my head to use it and this was one of them :) I combined it with English Country Garden - Butterflies, Background Builders: Vines and the sentiment from A Gift For You.

Both the filmstrip frame and butterfly have some sparkle to them added through heat embossing...

It's a mix of sunshine and showers kind of Bank Holiday weekend here in the North East, perfect for a spot of crafting, which is what I will be doing until it's time for dinner at the PIL :) I hope you're all having a lovely weekend & until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

More Birthday Flowers!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

It's a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK which means a lovely LONG weekend with my husband!

Partly because it's a long weekend and partly because we now only have 8 days till baby beans arrive (EEEK!) In celebration I have a special 20% off your order code valid over on the website all the details in the above graphic. Now is the time to shop and treat yourself to something ;)

Today I have another floral birthday card to share with you...

I made this card for my Mother-In-Law whose birthday was on Thursday. We had a lovely BIG family get together and BBQ on Thursday night celebrating birthdays, family reunions (Karl's cousin & family are over from NZ for the wedding), pre wedding celebrations and impending baby beans arrival! It was a wonderful evening filled with lots of laughter :)

I made this card at the same time as yesterday's card HERE, hence the same colour scheme and stamps used!! This time I decided to combine the Fusion Card Challenge sketch and inspiration photo seen HERE and below.

I'm really pleased with how the card turned out and my MIL seemed to like it too!! Here's a close up of the detail...

All the supplies I've used to make the card are all listed at the end of the post. I had best get on and complete a few more jobs in the studio, along with packing lovely customer orders as TIME is running out!!

I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Happy Birthday Nonni!

Hey & Happy Friday!

Today I have a birthday card to share with you which I have made for a sweet blogging friend & fellow TIME OUT Challenges DT member... Nonni

Sandie from London Days, who is also on the TIME OUT Challenges team has organised a 'Birthday Linky Party' HERE and invited friends from all around the world & crafty blog community to join in and make a card.

This is what I made...

I'm still in LOVE with Flower Power #6 and it just doesn't seem to leave my acrylic blocks! I used a combination of challenges to inspire me for this card, firstly the inspiration photo over on Fusion  Card Challenges HERE and seen below.

I also used the new CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and above. I started out by masking out a rectangle on my white CS and randomly stamped the flowers and leaves. I stamped the sentiment from Strike a Pose! in SU! Pumpkin Pie, securing it onto the card using foam adhesive. I then added a fussy cut flower and leaves to the edge of the sentiment for a bit of dimension too, but just used DST to secure it so I could pop it slightly behind the sentiment.

So, HaPpY bIrThDaY Nonni, I hope you have the most wonderful day :) You can join in too, all the details are HERE on Sandie's blog.

That's all from me today, until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today :)

Still TIME to play @ TIME OUT Challenges - CASE with your own twist

Hey!

I'm back today with a reminder card for the 12th TIME OUT Challenge and this time it's a CASE challenge. The aim of this challenge is to use the designer inspiration card & CASE it adding your own twist.

This month we have a super duper talented paper crafting expert for you to CASE... Anita from My Papercraft World and this is the inspiration card...

And this is my take on the inspiration...

I went down the geometric and ombre look for my take on the CASE card and dusted off Background Builders: Squared. I picked aqua hues from the inspiration card and heat embossed the squares. I love the new Mama Elephant 'hello' die and really like the layered look that Anita has done on her card, so had to replicate that.

I was also inspired by the current challenge over at Addicted to CAS HERE which is geometric and below is a close up of the detail...

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations :) I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Birthday Bear!

Hey!

I like that it's Wednesday already, one more day closer to a long weekend with my husband and more more day closer to 'Baby Beans Day'!

Today I have a Birthday Bear card to share with you...

I've been playing along with some challenges again, the first one is "Less is More", the theme HERE being ANIMAL. The second is a new to me challenge called AAA, a regular customer of Uniko Studio, Jane is on the Design Team and the challenge this week is to CAS(E) her card seen HERE and below.

I used a similar layout & colours to Jane's card but decided to put the little bear inside a negative die cut and make the red the main colour.

I replicated the gingham/spots pattern on the red areas of Jane's card by stamping a background using Background Builders: Squared. Today I am pleased with how my card has turned out!

Today I am spending the day doing what I love most, making more cards to share with you for 'A Stamp Set a Day', which I will be sharing here on the blog when I go in to have the baby beans and for a week or so afterwards. I'll be back tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today :)
