Brand Ambassador Inspiration and a Happy New Year

Morning Uniko fans, Julie here with another Brand Ambassador inspiration post.

I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas break and Santa brought you some fab crafting goodies. Hopefully this period between Christmas and New Year, one droll Radio 1 DJ labeling it Twixtmas, is a quiet time and you get a chance to play with them!

Anyway, in the quieter Christmas run up, I made this card using some non Christmas Uniko stamps.

When I first saw the Organic Wishes set, the seed heads reminded me of bursting fireworks so I decided to use them for this card. I also added some smaller flower centers from Mid Century Florals and Big n Bold Happy.
I used a selection of glittery embossing powders to emboss those images on a panel of black card. Those include an ancient glitter green by Funstamps, Personal Impressions red super sparkle and hologram super sparkle, and finally WOW metallic platinum sparkle, Champagne sparkle and fool's gold.
The sentiment banner was stamped with black on white using Christmas Sentiments and the 2020 was cut from fun foam and glittery gold paper before adding to the trimmed down stamped panel.
Finally the finished panel was added to a white top fold base card.

That's all from me for 2019, so may I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy, healthy and craft filled 2020!

Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration...Dreaming of a White + Pop of Colour Christmas

Hello,

Okay...I am still NOT done sending Christmas cards and, I suspect, still have a few more to make! OHMYSTARS, but I'm behind!  That said: Carol here welcoming you to my Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post!

Fortunately, I have several lovely Uniko stencils and sentiments on hand, as well as some translucent gel and plenty of glitter to create cards (5 here) that are super simple AND super sparkly! While this isn't 100% mass-production - as I've used various stencils - the embossed sentiment fits that bill. I simply arranged the words on my Misti, die-cut my cardstock, added Versamark ink and white embossing powder and, in a few waves of my heat gun, had my sentiments all done. The hardest part: waiting for the glitter to dry! Yes, yes...I could have used pre-mixed glitter gels/shimmer pastes but my stock is running low. It was way more fun to 'glitter me (and Lily and my craftroom) silly'!

I did my best to capture the sparkle in my photos but didn't do them justice. Please use your imagination a bit...these really do shimmer and twinkle!

To those receiving these cards...sorry/not sorry *grin* that some glitter may sparkle parts of you, too!

May the gifts of peace, love and joy be yours this Christmas and throughout the New Year!

Merry Christmas!!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - One layer Christmas card made with non-Christmas stamps

Hi there!

Hannelie here showing a Christmas card made with a floral stamp set... and it's one layer for super easy mailing!

I used a simple triangle mask to create my Christmas tree. Mine was cut with my Silhouette cameo, but you can use a die or even cut a mask with a ruler and craft knife. I blended some light green ink with the mask in place and then started stamping the largest bloom of the Kindness-blooms-clear-stamp-set . I stamped from the bottom up , dark to light, simply overlapping the flowers. I then used the dot from the set to decorate the tree and the flower center for the star on top of the tree. I used the word "JOY" from Festive-sentiments-outlined-clear-stamp-set as the trunk of the Christmas tree. Finally added some glossy accents to the 'baubles' and added tiny dots of gold liquid pearls to the star.

I hope this will inspire you to be creative with your supplies !

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Rustic Christmas

Hello friends, today I am up with 2 lookalike projects using the Rustic Christmas stamp set  from Uniko.

I have used the DI tumbled glass to stamp the snowflakes from the BIG & BOLD Snow stamp set
I stamped the tree using the DI pine needles. I have used the same ink to dab on the base card to create an edge. I added a few die cuts from my stash to put together the snow scene, the sentiment is from Peace on Earth stamp set.

Both these cards were made in bulk for an acquaintance of mine, and are winging to the US with her for her family and friends for Christmas.

I hope you like the inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Three cards with one combo of colours

Bonjour !

Izzy here with three different Christmas cards but with the same combo of colours. I loved so much the last combo of colours over at Color Throwdown, that this weekend I've been playing with my Uniko stamps and I completed my batch of Christmas cards.

The combo was : Aqua, Green, Gold and White.

I started with this card using the gorgeous Winter Botanicals: Sweet Broom from last year that I stamped and gold heat embossed on an aqua card stock. I stamped the second layer in green and the berries in white. I also stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment coming from the new Festive Sentiments Outlined set, and I coloured it with colour pencils.

On the double white card I stamped and I gold heat embossed the stripes on the left edge using the Background Builders Classics set. To finish, I adhered the blue panel on the double card with double-sided adhesive tape and I splattered white acrylic ink.

For this second card, I used watercolour. I cut a panel of watercolour paper of the size of the double card and I covered it with aqua blue watercolour. Once dry, I stamped and gold heat embossed the flower and the leaves of the Season of Beauty set. I coloured the leaves with green watercolour and I stamped the third layer of the flowers with white ink.

I adhered the watercolour panel on the double white card and I die cut a white frame to put on it. Finally, I cut a strip of paper that I watercolored in green and I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment coming from the Most Wonderful set. I foam mounted the sentiment onto the card.

Last but not least, I used my favourite Christmas tree from the Rustic Christmas set.

I stamped it three times, one in aqua blue, one in green and the last one in gold together with the sentiment. A very quick and simple card made in less than 2 minutes but I love it. Perfect if you are short of time in your Christmas card !

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that my cards will inspired you. You can even try with your favourite combo of colours !

Have a great crafty week !

Stencil Sunday

Good morning and welcome to another Stencil Sunday at Uniko.
It's Julie here this month to share three cards using one layout but three different stencils and colourways.

Last year ,as part of the Christmas release, I made this card using unconvential colours and the Let it Snow Stencil, so I thought I would use the same layout and see what happens when you change up the colours and/or the stencil used. Here are my three takes using the same layout.

This card uses the In the Forest stencil and a trio of green inks from Altenew's Tropical Forest set.

Initially, I was going to use a gold die cut JOY but I preferred the green glitter card with a red background. The touch of red fun foam peeking from behind the green glitter card links it to the colour of the background panel and makes the green pop against the stencilled panel. This is a case of colours opposite on the colour wheel being used to make each of the colours stand out, the green looks greener and the red reder. The same would be true of Yellow/Purple and Orange/Blue combos.
The stencilled panel was made by simply attaching a panel of white card under the stencil then adding each green randomly until all the trees were inked, not worrying too much where each colour went. I think the effect is more interesting than using just the one solid colour.
The die cut JOY was purchased from The Works but the stamped sentiment panel uses a retired Uniko set. Sequins from the stash complete.

This next card uses the new Winter Foliage stencil .

This time I used small make up brushes to add ink to each separate image. I picked them up at Lidl, as well as some larger ones, just like the Picket Fence blender brushes you can get, but a lot cheaper and there was a great range of sizes. You can really get into those small areas without getting ink into the wrong place. My background card was chosen to match the holly leaves and to keep with tradition, went with a red glittery JOY, minus snowflake, which like the previous card I fussy cut away before adding the fun foam. A few red Stickle berries complete this time.

My third card is virtually the same card using the Let it Snow stencil, as last year, but this time in shades of blue.

I think it's good practice to try to match inking to base cards and trim, if you are using them, it creates a more cohesive design. This time I used DIs in a mixture of Chipped Saphire, Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean. I didn't pop up the die cut on foam this time and also kept the snowflake, sequins from the stash complete.

So I hope I've managed to illustrate that simply by changing the colours used, the stencil or both, you can stretch your Uniko supplies and have some fun along the way!

Happy Christmas crafting!

So many favourites of mine here :) Today I was inspired to used Background Builders: Vines, you can check out my card and post HERE.

A New Year's Card

Hi! It's Jane here today with a New Year's Card to keep the sparkle in your life but give you a rest from Christmas.

Here's my card:

Here's the stamp sets I used:

WonderfulDayPP   FestiveSentimentsOutlinedPP  BBseeingstarsPP

I started the card by stamping and heat embossing the stars, floral inside petals - thought they looked like fireworks and the greeting. I then inked over in four colours of distress ink. I splattered the inks with water and blotted with a tissue.

Next I added some extra stars and petals using the same distress oxide ink colours and then brushed over it all with Cosmic Shimmer mica powder. It has a lovely shimmer in real life.

I finished the card off with a die cut 2020 which I placed above the sentiment and tadded some iridescent gem stones scattered randomly across the card front.

The card front was then matted onto black sparkle card and adhered to a silver stardust card base.

All the non Uniko product details can be found on my blog - HERE.

Thanks for looking today. I'm hoping your December festivities have got off to a good start and that you're crafting up a storm!

Jane
