Monday Mid Century Modern Leaves

Hello & Happy Monday! 

I'm back in the studio today following a lovely weekend in Port Sunlight at the Stamping Together show. It was lovely to catch up with so many of you in person again and also to meet many of you for the first time. Thank you for your support & purchases, both at the show and on the website. 

Don't panic if you're coming to Stamperama in Harrogate on Sunday 30th, there is still plenty of stock of the new Designer Dies Natures Treasures II. There will be a restock of the Natures Treasures II clear stamps in a couple of weeks, but keep your eye out for some Mid Century Modern restocks this week.

Anyway, enough chat. How about some creativity, I have this card to share that I made demoing on Saturday...

I was demoing the Stencil - MOD Background Builder Circles, to show how easy it is to fill a card background. I chose this lovely new green from Concord & 9th - Artichoke. 

I then decided to finish the card by die cutting the large solid leaf from the Designer Dies Natures Treasures II and stamping the coordinating stamp onto my base card inside the die cut. The die cut & stencilled layer is adhered using foam adhesive and the sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

That's all I have to share today, time to pack your lovely orders and I've some late May Release things to prepare ;)

Surprise April Product Release Sneak Peek!

Hello & Happy Tuesday,

Yep, today I have a little April surprise for you with a new product release coming this Saturday 22nd April at 9am BST.  

I will be demoing these new Designer Dies on the Uniko stand on Saturday at the Stamping Together show, but before that myself and The Brand Ambassadors will be showcasing them on the blog this week. I am super excited about these as not only do they coordinate with a previously released clear stamp set. They are also super versatile to be used on their own.

Belated Hoppy Easter AND a Winner!

Hello & Happy Monday.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter (if you celebrate). I enjoyed some time with The Beans and my husband this week for some much needed family time. Hence why I've been a little quiet across social media. 

It was back to school and routine today and it's been lovely to get back in the studio 😊 A busy prep week ahead for Stamping Together Festival. PLUS, we have something new to introduce to you this week that will be available to purchase on Saturday! Be sure to pop back to the blog tomorrow.

Now, before I get to the winner of the Release in Review Blog Hop we had HERE. I thought I would share this little cutie that I made prior to Easter.

Here I have paired the newest Hoppy Easter with the blooms from Flower Power #2, but really any of the Flower Power flowers would look just as lovely. Plus you could easily switch out the sentiment for a spring birthday, thank you card or one for any occasion.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Background Blocks Layered Modern Floral

Good afternoon, Julie here with a little bit of Brand Ambassador inspiration. 

Over at Color Hues there's a new colour combination so I thought I would combine my DT card with a BA post!

Here's my card for the Purple and Green challenge using Background Blocks Modern Layered Floral stamp set. I was also inspired by the current challenge at The Flower Challenge where their theme is to focus on the background.

To start, I chose an A4 panel of thick card, I used a faux watercolour technique and needs to hold up to the amount of water used. Using the floral element of the set, I inked up with Altenew's Wisteria, spritzed with water before stamping. I then added some darker Hydrangea ink to the center and pushed it around the stamp with a wet brush to get rid of any harsh edges, before stamping again. This was repeated until the panel was covered. As the ink dries it separates a little to give the soft effect. The same technique was repeated with the leaf stamp using Altenew's Bamboo ink and a darker green Zig watercolour brush marker this time. When dry I added the dark centers to the flowers with the detail stamp and Altenew's Andromeda ink as during the stamping some of the detail was lost.

On a die cut panel of matching card, I stamped the sentiment from Doodle Flowers, attached it to some torn vellum and placed some silver thread behind before adding onto my stamped panel with foam pads. A few silver sequins complete. My stamped panel was trimmed to leave a narrow frame when added to an A6 note card.

That's about it for today but there's plenty going on here at Uniko over the next few days, so don't go too far away!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Coffee

Good Morning, 

Thanks for joining me, Steph, today with my Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration post. For this month I have chosen to use Uniko Block Party Coffee Love stamp set. 

I first stamped in brown (coffee) of course! I like the combination of teal and lime green so I set about colouring the different areas of the stamp with these colours and a little more brown. To bring out the colours I die cut and layered the stamped image onto brown and then teal card. 

Using the same stamp I wanted to create a different effect so I stayed monochrome and used tones of grey along with some grey woodgrain patterned paper. With this card I also stamped and fussy cut the banner and coffee cup raising them up with foam pads, although it's hard to see this from the photo.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration: Spring Botanical Crocus

  Hello everyone!

Happy Good Friday to all!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday so far!!!

I wanted to stop by and share this card using the Uniko stamp Spring Botanical Crocus with Cloud 9 Uniko stencil.

I love this brand-new Uniko set. I enjoyed coloring the crocus flower so much, it has a large amount of space to color!

I love the way it turned out after coloring using Altenew inks and distressed inks. It is a one-layer base card where I created an earthy background first and then inked my clouds in pink using the stencil for the sky as shown in the pic:

Added some splatters to the background and fussy cut my flower. 

Gave a dimension to my flower and added some watercolor splatters to it. Now stamped the sentiment from the same set.

In the end, finished it off by adding a black strip and adhered the crocus flower using the foam pad.
