July Design Team Blog Hop!

Hey!

I'm SO happy you've stopped by the blog today as we've a Design Team Blog Hop for you to enjoy. So grab a drink, get comfy and enjoy!

This month here at Uniko Studio we are having a fresh look at the previously released Label Love: Thank you clear stamp set. This set was released last year back in September HERE. This is such a useful set and can be used on it's own or paired with any Uniko Studio product or even other products you might have in your stash.

Like all the clear stamp sets in the Label Love series the sentiments & labels can be mixed and matched for even MORE possibilities!

Here's a look at the set...

As you might expect due to the name of the set it features 5 Thank you sentiments in lovely modern fonts and four circle labels which coordinate with a 1 3/4" circle punch or die for ease of cutting out. It also features 3 accent stamps.

Lets get to the projects! First I have a couple of older projects using the set...

I've also made a couple of new projects using the set and decided to play along with the current 'Less is More' challenge HERE which is Shades of Grey. I've not quite managed to use 50 shades of grey but used a couple on each of my projects below...

For my first card I decided just to use the Label Love: Thank you set on it's own, I simply stamped one of the Thank you sentiments onto a white piece of card stock and trimmed it at an angle. I then cut a strip of white card to place across the card and stamped another sentiment. The circle embellishment is heat embossed and a few NEW SU! candy dots finished the card off.

For my final card to share with you today I decided to pair Label Love: Thank you with Flower Power #2 and Natures Treasures I using a layout I have used before...

Again I used the shades of grey colour scheme and I'm really pleased how it turned out. The blooms are  2 stepped stamped in Smokey Slate ink for the solid bloom and Smokey Shadow for the lines. The leaves are also stamped with Smokey Shadow ink onto Soft Stone card stock to give them a slight offset against the white & grey background colours...

Ok, so that's enough from me lets get onto the Design Team Hop, you can find the order below in case there is a broken link along the way...

  4. Beverly your cards are stunning always, such beautiful colours and simple but striking layouts.

I'm actually quite terrified of using rubber stamps as I always seem to make a mess but I must dip my toe in really. Can you recommend what ink pads work best?

    1. Thank you Sarah, you are too kind. I have been stamping for nearly 20 years and my style has changed a lot since I first started!

You must have a go & play with stamps, it really is good fun. The type of ink I tend to use most is a dye based ink which is fast drying and less messy than a pigment ink. There are many manufacturers of dye based inks and they come is SO many colours. Your local craft shop or online craft store you shop at should have a good selection.

I hope this has helped answer your questions and I hope you give it a try. If you want any further info or advice just send me an email. Address on my left side bar or on my website.

      Hugs
      Bev
