Clean & Simple

Hey & Happy Monday!

I do hope your week has got off to a lovely start. Its been a beautiful day here in the NE of England and it's helped me feel energised to tick a few more jobs off the list!

I've took a little crafty break & come back into the studio to create this clean & simple card...

I needed a little mojo boost so used a couple of challenges to spark the creativity. The first challenge is the current Crazy for CAS sketch seen HERE and below.

I was inspired to dust off a few sets that hadn't seen daylight for a while on my card, Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time and Background Builders: Lattice and paired them with a sentiment from A Gift For You.

As I kept it Clean & Simple it fits perfectly into the soon to be ending Addicted to Stamps & More! challenge HERE. I added a few SU! sequins for a little sparkle to finish it off :)

I've been busy in the studio today preparing for the August Release & to make room & also to celebrate little Prince George's 1st Birthday there is a Summer Sale over on the website HERE. Why not grab yourself a bargain or treat yourself to a set on or wish list?!

That's all I have for you today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Supplies
Card Stock: White (Boyes)
Ink: Avery Elle Aquamarine, Raspberry & Mimosa
Stamps: Uniko Studio A Gift For You, Background Builders: Lattice & Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time.

Blue Christmas...

Hey!

I've finally found a few minutes to pop by and share this card...

For my card I used the NEW CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below and I also used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

This was a fun sketch and I knew I wanted to use my doilies as snowflakes again! I did use a little snowflake stamp which is from Label Love: Christmas along with the doilies as it was the perfect size!  I love the colour blue and the current ColourQ colours made my day & are perfect for the flurry of snowflakes on my card!

I was disappointed today as there was no more snow falling here but I'm sure it won't be long before it's back! To cheer myself up I did a few more screen printed tote bags and as promised I took a couple of photos to share with you...

I screen print in the kitchen as I don't have access to water in the studio only outside in the garden and it's far too cold to be outside! We have quite a bit of worktop space & it's perfectly sized for printing small items like tote bags!

This is the Gerbra flower from Pure Florals: Gerbera enlarged to fit on an A3 screen and I selected a yummy turquoise colour to print with for this bag...

Below is the finished screen print...

The process is fairly quick but I clean my screen between prints which slows it down a bit as I have to wait for my screen to dry again before I can use it again. Having the heating on and putting them against the radiator speeds the drying time up a bit!

Some of the tote bags are just printed but others I have added Swarovski crystals, once this one is dry & ironed it will have some crystals added to the centre of the flower. Just adds that nice sparkley finishing touch!

Ok, that's all from me today. Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Krafting

Hey!

Happy Weekend! Today is the Uniko Studio demo day at The Paper Lane - YAY! I'm also teaching a class after the demo and prepared a few projects for the class to make...

This first project consisting of the card above and tag & bottle tag gift card holder below was inspired by DT Member Kerry's release day project HERE.

I loved the elegance of Kerry's project the kraft mixed with black and the Poinsettia so created this little ensemble! Being a CAS girl and that the class has limited time I skipped the Copic shading that Kerry has incorporated on her project!

My next project for the class continues the Kraft CS theme...

Another yummy seasonal colour combination and my love of turning those Decorative Doilies into snowflakes!

There is one more project I put together for the class, but will save that for another day to share with you. I'll be taking along my camera to capture the happenings of the day which I'll share with you all :)

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by.

More ho ho ho - let it snow!

Hey!

I'm back today with more Super FREE Saturday 'ho ho ho - let it snow'! If you missed the fun yesterday you can check it all HERE. If you download and use the kit I'd LOVE to see what you create so don't forget to add a link to your project in the link tool or email me a photo!

For my first card today I broke away from snowflakes for one card and whipped this hybrid card up...

I used layers and my paint bucket tool to make this card and it's quite easy, I promise to do a little tutorial at some point this week to share some tips with you all.

Once I had printed my bauble panel I used the PTI Bottle Hanger Die to cut it out and just trimmed off the bottle hanging section. A splash of glitter on the baubles, some striped ribbon and a few rhinestones finished it off...

I couldn't stay away from the snowflakes for long...

This time I paired it with some Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time snowflakes! There's plenty of glitter and sparkle on this card thats for sure...

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects and little video! I'm squeezing in a little inky time this morning to create some cards to share with you this coming week :)

Have a good day & thank you for stopping by!

Celebrate!

Hey!

Yesterday was a FABulous day here at Uniko Studio as I got to introduce my newest DT and Digital DT members :) If you missed it you can catch up on the news HERE. I also had a wonderful day getting inky and making lots of projects to share with you all over the next few days.

As I was in a celebratory mood yesterday the card I'm sharing with you reflects just how I was feeling...

I started off with a colour combination which I found on a new to me challenge blog HERE called Just Us Girls. Their current challenge is this colour combo seen HERE and below...

I kept my card neutral using the white & grey with just a splash of each of the 3 colours. I combined 3 Uniko Studio Clear Stamp sets on this card, Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time, Background Builders - Lattice and FONTiments - Birthday.

Instead of fussy cutting out the doilies I used a 1 3/4" circle punch for the larger doily and a 1" circle punch for the smaller doily...

That's all from me today, I'm spending a bit more inky time in The Studio this morning before dinner and I've a few orders to pick and pack for posting on Monday so I best get to it if I'm going to get done what I intend to.

I hope you all have a lovely day, thanks for stopping by.

Modern Christmas

Hey!

Today is a good day & I've been looking forward to it since my old friends from work told me about it and invited  me. This afternoon I am off to Edinburgh for 2 nights for a Hen party which will include lots of laughs, catching up with old friends and making new friends, a spa afternoon, fancy dress & probably copious amounts of alcohol!

Not to worry though I have a Modern Christmas project to share with you today & scheduled posts for tomorrow, Sunday & Monday - yep, it might take me that long to recover! It's been a while since I was on the loose with these girls!

So, today's project is a Modern Christmas collection of cards...

For this little trio of cards I have used a modern non traditional Christmas colour scheme consisting of Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores & Raspberry Fizz. I've also kept it modern with those Doily Snowflakes, yep it's those sparkly doily snowflakes again!

My card layout uses the current Retro Sketch seen HERE and below...

This was quite a layered sketch but I'm really happy how CAS I have managed to keep my card trio. I opted to use a silver shimmer CS for the 4 strips behind the main image panel which helps keep it CAS. If I had used patterned strips as I originally intended to it would have made the cards to busy & not CAS enough for a CAS girl like me!

Here is a shot of one of the cards on their own...

And a close up of the sparkly doily snowflake...

I really am quite addicted to sparkly silver doily snowflakes! This little card trio is also suitable for the current 'Less Is More' Challenge HERE to use silver.

Well, that's all from me today, I hope your not too sick of seeing more doily snowflakes! I'll be back tomorrow with more to share. Have a FAB weekend.

Doilies Disguised As Snowflakes!

Hey!

Yay, I'm back in the swing of things and HAPPY to be inking stamps and making cards! This morning I squeezed in a little inky time and created a couple of Christmas cards - yep thats right Christmas cards! I've used a not Christmas stamp set to create a couple of cards...

I've been itching to use Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time to create sparkly snowflakes and this is my first card doing so. What do you think?

I used the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for my card layout and I am really pleased as to how it turned out.

Below is a close up of the sparkly doily snowflake...

I enjoyed making this card so much using the doilies as snowflakes that I carried on and made this card too...

I kept all the elements and colours the same but just switched the LO of the card. Here's a close up of the detail...

I can see me making more doily snowflake cards in an array of colours and styles ready for Christmas. Only thing I would like is some Uniko Studio Christmas Sentiment stamps *wink*. I am also entering these cards into the Moxie FAB World WCMD Christmas Challenge HERE

Thanks for stopping by today.

Playtime...

Hey!

Well, there is a few good things that come with the wet & windy weather and that is hot chocolate & plenty of crafting time! Yep, it's still raining here and so I'll be making the most of designing and inky time in The Studio!

Yesterday, I made this super simple card...

This card uses another FAB combination - Doilies & Wonderful Washi! I can see me using Wonderful Washi a lot on my projects for the foreseeable future as it is such a versatile stamp set, even if I do say so myself!

I used the current Retro Sketch HERE and seen below for my card layout and the current Play Date Cafe colours HERE and seen below for the colour combination.

Here's a little close up of the card...

That's all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share. There is still a bit more time left for you to send in your Design Team Call applications!

Thanks for stopping by today.

The Hands of Time

TGIF!

Oh Friday, how I love thee! I'm one day closer to the weekend, release day & my much needed vacation! Anyway, I'm back today continuing the theme of focusing on previously released stamp sets & products available from Uniko Studio for a little refresher for existing & NEW followers!

Today, I decided to use Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time. This set was designed along with Time and Extra Time but I kept it back for a later release. The doilies are created from clock hands which I seem to have a real fascination for!

This is not your normal looking doily set, while it does have a couple of linear stamps which have a lot of detail it has the solid bold stamps too. Perfect for CAS card makers & layerlicious distress card makers & also scrapbookers alike!

This first card uses one of the linear stamps contained in the set. I decided to use the current Freshly Made Sketch for my card layout seen HERE and below and also the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

I stamped the doilies so that there would be enough to add some colour but enough to keep plenty of white space. I used Copic markers to colour the doilies in and added a few rhinestones for a touch of bling!

So after this card I was on a roll and made this one for the current Moxie Fab World Minty Fresh Challenge HERE.

A super simple card layout with a white heat embossed doily stamped over a mat layer adhered with foam adhesive. This took only minutes to make and I can see a nice gift set collection in an array of pastel shades happening to sell at Designers Marketplace in December!

Like the Time & Extra Time sets Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time have a digital patterned paper collection available from the website HERE and seen below...

I used a selection of the papers contained to make this card...

I trimmed & created simple banners/ribbons using 3 papers and cut out 2 doily flowers from one of the papers. The sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday. I stamped a couple of the smaller doilies from the stamp set in SU! colours contained in the collection...

So, how about a few projects from when these products were released...

This first photo is a close up of a card using the same stamp & process of Copic colouring asin the first card I shared today. I just love the colours so had to share!

This one uses a bit of Rock 'n' Roll, in a lovely summery colour combo to spread a bit of cheer! My last card today uses the digital paper collection...

I hope you've enjoyed todays product focus?! I'll be back tomorrow for the next instalment! Thanks for stopping by.
