August Non - Release Blog Hop WINNERS!

The last few weeks of Summer went a little crazy. Along with keeping The Beans entertained I was also prepping their 5th Birthday and they also had their first day of school the day after!

I do apologise for leaving you hanging for SO long, the Festive Season preparations got a little out of control! The Beans have not sleeping well from the 22nd and right through till last night, which was a slight improvement, I only had to get up twice during the night!

How about a card before I go...

This card was inspired by a challenge I came across by joining in on the current TIME OUT Challenge HERE. The current Guest Designer at TO and person they are CASEing is Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin. Ksenija happens to be running a Chasing Mojo challenge HERE, which is to CASE a card in the gallery on the post or someone else in blogland. 

I chose THIS card by Victoria Shipunova. I was first drawn to the swirly floral stamped image framing the sentiment. I was inspired to recreate this using Uniko clear stamps Originally Organic in particular and then the vibrancy of the colours.

Way back in October at the Happy Stampers Festival, I did a little retail therapy as well as running the Uniko stand, its got to be done, right...? ;) I purchased a few more Zig Clean Colour Brush Pens to go with the little quartet I already owned. Shamefully (hangs head), I've not got round to opening them, let alone using them. So, with the lovely Darnell inspiring blogland to use their NBUS, I am joining with NBUS #9. 

This time I used new stuff on my card and one of the optional themes CASEing. I do plan on having a go at the other optional theme of the NBUS challenge which Deborah also inspired me to have a go at HERE, the hidden message. So, all being well I will have more to share later in the week :)

Sorry I have been MIA for SO long, I wasn't expecting to be so busy, stressed and ill these past couple of weeks. We have had yet more bugs in the house and two little beans that stopped sleeping through the night due to being ill :( 

Then, after a much needed mummy Christmas night out I got sick with a chest infection and laryngitis and lost my voice for 3 days! Anyway, we are just about fully recovered, just a few sniffles and a croaky voice for mummy ;)
