[Uniko Studio Challenge] No. 9 - Easter

Hello Uniko Fans - so we're into the third challenge with our new formats. Do you like it? Do you hate it? What would you love to see changed? Leave us a quick feedback in the comments section and we will draw a random winner to win a  £5 Gift Certificate.

This months color inspiration is some back to basics spring colors. These are fun and earthy and with the many bright yellow daffodils sprouting out, we thought this is perfect for this time of the season. Feel free to use some or all the colors. After all, this is just suppose to be an inspiration starting point to creating something fun.

And complementary to the colors, the theme this month is an obvious one "Easter". If you don't celebrate Easter, feel free to pop in another sentiment or a spring one. We aren't sticklers when it comes to our rules, and again we want this to be a starting point for inspiration.

Bev

I decided upon a trio of the colours from the inspiration colour pallet and I used the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge layout seen HERE and below for my card.

I started out my stamping 8 of the ditsy florals from Background Builders: Vines and fussy cut them out. I then adhered them to the card in a large circular bloom shape, stamping the leaves & vines around the bloom to add interest. The sentiment is from Flower Power #4.

  1. Hi Bev, I Like the format of the challenge, colours and a theme are a nice way to inspire people whist keeping options open! Rebecca x

  2. I second Rebecca. At first, I found the colour challenge daunting, but after realizing we could pick-and-choose, I breathed a sigh of relief! The theme and colours have started to 'grow' on me; add the inspiration cards from you and the DT, and the possibilities abound! Evidence of that here: a gallery of gorgeous once again! Heading back to gaze and admire some more!! Hugs~c

  3. Hi Beverley, I think your challenges are great and combining colours and themes or colours and sketches is just what's needed to get those creative juices flowing. Beautiful inspirational cards too above and every time. xx

  4. Hi Bev, I love the format of the challenges- having a colour palette AND a photo and even sometimes a word gives lots of scope. It can be a challenge to decide which elements to use, but that's part of the fun! Xxx

  8. I just discovered Uniko so I don't have any experience with your challenges, but I think this is a fun one! I also like that you are relaxed on the rules because I don't have any Uniko Easter stamps!

  9. I too have only just discovered your lovely stamps and challenge blog! It was great to be able to take part in the challenge using a digi freebie as I don't YET have any of your stamps! Fear not, they will be on my crafty wish list! I often like to draw inspiration from more than one source when entering a challenge so a theme and a colour palette is a great idea. Thanks. Stef x
