DT Inspiration - How About A Bookmark?

Hi it's Jane here today with a little DT inspiration and an idea to stretch your stamps outside of card making.

So how about a bookmark? I made a trio with different people in mind.

First up is one I made for a friend who loves the feel of paper and real books and just refuses to change to a kindle.

I stamped a few background leaves from You Are, Yes You and then paper pieced the flowers from Beautiful. I used a rectangular die to cut the bookmark shape, punched a hole and added some ribbons.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, You Are, Yes You & Beautiful
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; SU, mint macaron
Ppaer: doCrafts Papermania, Folk floral
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats long & skinny rectangles

No prizes for guessing the love of the person I made the next bookmark for! And another real paper book loving body too.

So if coffee is your tipple then the Uniko I Love Coffee stamps are perfect. I chose coffee colours and a pretty pink as I love the look of these shades together and stamped away. And I even had some matching ribbons lurking in my stash!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, I Love Coffee
Inks: SU, baked brown sugar, chocolate chip, blushing bride

My last bookmark is for one of my grandsons who's such an avid reader he was banned from books for a while - kept reading all through the night under his duvet and then waking himself up silly early to carry on reading, didn't really help his attention at school!

I chose this really upbeat and uplifting sentiment from Spring Botanicals Daffodil to pair up with the Background Builders Round In Circles stamps. I rather like the idea of every time he reads a book he'll also see that sentiment quote.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Builders Round In Circles, Spring Botanicals Daffoodil
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; SU, emerald envy, tempting turquoise

I'm going to remove the ribbons and run these bookmarks through a laminator before gifting them, but thought they would photograph more easily for this post without the added shine.

Well that's me done for today. I hope I may have inspired your creativity and that you've enjoyed my ideas.

Thanks for looking and keep crafting!

Jane
