Take Two!

Hey!

Happy Sunday :) Did you enjoy that awesome blog hop yesterday? What a FABULOUS hop it is, I've only got as far as no.60 so I still have a way to hop but I am determined to get to each any everyone's blog & leave a comment! If you missed out on the fun you can catch up on it HERE and HERE.

Anyway, today I have two cards to share, first I have 'Take Two' of this card HERE which I wan't happy with after a Stickles disaster! So I went and made another one yesterday which I am much happier with...

Doesn't the glitter look a lot better? I'm a happy bunny now I have a Quickie Glue Pen again!

I have another card to share which I made yesterday too using some new Tim Holtz Frosted Paper which is adhesive too & available from The Paperlane. I decided to make a frosty snowflake card...

I simply die cut a medium snowflake from the frosty paper and adhered it straight onto a Royal Velvet CS mat layer. I then die cut a small lilac shimmer snowflake and raised it with foam adhesive.

The sentiment is from Stunning Snowflakes and embossed in WOW silver sparkle EP. I then just mounted it all onto a white card base.

That's all from me today, I had a FABulous day yesterday at The Paperlane, thank you to everyone that came along to the demo & attended the class, but today is recover & rest day as it sure took it out of me!

Be sure to pop back tomorrow for another AWESOME Design Team Blog Hop, it's not to be missed AND there are prizes up for grabs too! Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Jolly Baubles!

Hey!

I've finally turned a corner & feeling slightly better, well enough to spend a few hours in the studio! I made a little card which I was happy with until I added some Stickles for some sparkle and it made the colours run :(

Why didn't you use your trusty glue pen & Hero Arts Prisma Glitter I hear you ask?! Well, I'm all out of glue pens :( Guess I'll be restocking of those when I am at The Paperlane tomorrow!

Anyway, here's my little card...

Whilst snuggled on the sofa yesterday afternoon trying to rest & get rid of this cold I had an idea pop into my head which I made a note of on my iPhone so I wouldn't forget! The idea is what you see above to use the 3 circle stamps from Background Builders: Round In Circles as baubles on a Christmas card!

I used SU! Real Red & Lucky Limeade as my colours and on the striped bauble/circle I used my SU! markers to selectively colour each line. The bows on each bauble is from Label Love: Birthday and I simply drew the string with a black fine liner. The striped bauble is also punched out and mounted using foam adhesive for a little dimension & the sentiment is from Jolly Christmas.

I will be having another go at this card design when I've stocked up on glue pens! I fancy having ago at using some different colours too.

That's all from me today & apologies for my lateness in posting, I will be back tomorrow with a card to share for someone FABULOUS. I'm taking part in an AWESOME blog hop which is NOT to be missed! My post will be at an usual time for me 1pm here in the UK, hope to see you tomorrow :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

Let it Snow...

Hey!

I seem to be running late with my posts this week here on the blog, sorry about that, I seem to be having one of those weeks and this cold I seem to have isn't helping. Anyway, enough of my excuses I am back with another card to share...

I couldn't help but use those Dynamic Duos challenge colours again, you can join in with the challenge HERE and see how I used them yesterday HERE

The layout out of my card today is from using the current Freshly Made Sketch challenge sketch seen HERE and below.

I saw the sketch and this idea popped into my head instantly so I went with it! Sometimes it is best just to go with the flow and not over complicate anything.

That's all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share and hopefully I'll be back at my usual time! Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

FAVES Times Two!

Hey!

I'm back this morning to share a card using 2 of my favourite stamp sets from the Uniko Studio October Release & 2 of my favourite colours for Christmas cards...

I started out by revisiting a layout I've used recently on this card I shared HERE, I just elongated it to a 14 x 10.5 cm card. The colours also just happen to be the current colours over on the Dynamic Duos challenge HERE, which was another reason for me using them today.

This was a super quick card to make, another to add to the mass produceable list, if required! I added some rhinestones to the snowflakes, but to make it mail friendly a bit of glitter would look just as pretty.

That's all from me today, I'm in the studio today preparing for my demo & class on Saturday at The Paperlane, so I will have lots of new projects to share with you all here on the blog very soon AND we have our scheduled Design Team Blog Hop on the 11th November - it's going to be a FABULOUS one and one not to be missed.

I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then thank you for stopping by today :)

A Moxie FAB Thank You!

Hey!

I'm a little later than usual with my post today, sorry for that & those who have been wondering where I am.

I have a wintery thank you card to share for you which I have made for Cath over on Moxie FAB World HERE.

You may or may not be aware of the sad news the crafting community received the other day regarding Cath leaving Moxie Fab World & Paper Crafts, you can read all about the changes HERE

It's been a while since I participated in a challenge or joined in with the fun over on Moxie FAB World, but I still pop by the blog to see what's going on. When I have joined in Cath has ALWAYS popped by my blog to say thank you which makes you feel special and appreciated.

So, I wanted to return the gratitude and say THANK YOU to Cath for the years of inspiration, fun  & wealth of knowledge she has shared with us all around the world in this crafting community. You will be greatly missed by many including myself.

I've used a few Uniko Studio clear stamps & the snowflake dies on my card today, all the products are listed below. I'm pleased with how this has turned out and I'm thinking how a simple sentiment change to that of Christmas & I've another Christmas card design to add to the collection!

That's all from me today, I will be back tomorrow at my usual time with more to share. Thank you for stopping by :)

[Uniko Studio Challenge] Challenge No. 4 Color Theme - Reminder

Hello Uniko Friends, it's Camilla here today.
I was honoured to win the previous challenge here at Uniko Studio and daunted when I realised the prize also included a guest spot on the talented design team. I hope the inspiration photo has inspired you to create something fabulous!

I normally tend to go for the vibrant colours, so this was a bit of a challenge for me... I've tried my best to tone it down and to do that I added Picket Fence (Distress Stain) to my die-cut circles before 'dipping' them into a Wild Honey, Peeled Paint and Spiced Marmalade mixed with a little Antiqued Bronze for a bit of shine.

The panel is distressed with Pumice Stone and the I added some embossing paste through a Tim Holtz stencil. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, and all stamps are, of course, from Uniko Studio: Nature's Treasure and Flower Power 2.

We'd LOVE you to join in on the fun, the rules are attached below & you can link up your entires to the challenge in the linky below.
