Introducing 2 New Additions!

Hey!

So you all probably know that I have been some what busy over the past week & this time not in the studio, but giving birth to and taking care of 2 new precious additions to the Brown & Uniko Studio family.

I would formerly like to introduce you to Josh & Ben...

Things didn't exactly go to plan with the birth, but when it comes to mother nature these things can be unpredictable! So after a day and a half of being in labour following an induction I made the decision to proceed to a C Section.

Josh on the left was born at 5:54 pm and Ben on the right at 5:55 pm on September 2nd. Weighing in at 4 pounds 12 ounces and 5 pounds 13 ounces. Quite a bit smaller than predicted on the scans. As Josh was under the 5 pound birth weight we had to have a few days stay in the hospital.

In the picture above they have swapped places! It is easy to tell them apart at the moment due to the difference in size, but that will soon change as they LOVE their milk :)

All set on the 6th September for the journey home...

All fed & snuggled up for their first night at home...

Lets just say the night shifts have been a testing time for mum & dad, but they are way too cute not to love even on no sleep!

Day 2 at home, testing out the new wheels bought by Grandma & Grandad! And one last cute pic from this morning after another sleepless night...

That's all I have to share with you all today! There are still posts scheduled to entertain you until I get back into the studio to create, but for now spare time is currently spent catching up on sleep and recuperating from the C Section.

Until the next time thank you for stopping by & for all your kind wishes and congratulations :)

  2. So adorable, love how they're always snuggled up together. You make sure you sleep when they sleep, so much easier to follow them than try to make them adjust to you. Thanks so much for sharing the pics, have gone all mushy now! :))

  17. Bev, your post made me all teary-eyed - with joy, of course - at seeing your adorable Ben and Josh! Love how they snuggle with one another! You've an absolute top-notch gem for finding time, in the midst of an incredibly busy, demanding, sleep-deprived schedule, to keep us updated! I can only imagine how awesome it is to be a mom, given I only have "Aunty C" status, but that role alone is over-the-moon awesome, so I have a pretty good sense of what it's like to feel your heart fill with an abundance of love. Take care of yourself; my 'prescription' includes plenty of sleep, plenty of cuddles!
    Hugs~c

  18. Congratulations to you and hubby on the birth of two beautiful boys.
Enjoy the journey. I will repeat get rest when you can and don't feel guilty for taking a nap in the day. Don't count on a full nights sleep for a few months yet.
Hope you recover quickly and all the feeding goes well.
    Congrats again.

  19. Oh, they are simply precious. You have 2 shining blessings from Heaven. I wish you congratulations. P.S. Ben is a good solid name. It was my Grandpa's middle name, my dad and brother's first name, and it's even in my last (married) name now. :)

  30. Adorable!!! Congratulations and so glad everyone is safe and sound. They are so beautiful, you forget how tiny babies can be. My son Max was 5 pounds when he was born but was in the NICU for a few weeks, so got down to the 4 pound mark. He looked just as tiny in his car seat when we took him home but if you saw him now, you would never have thought he was a tiny, sick baby. He is a strapping 7yrs old and so muscular! Enjoy all your time with them, they grow up so fast!!!!

  35. Bev - thank you for sharing such lovely photos of your gorgeous boys. I love their names - Josh and Ben (my Ben is almost 19!!). I do hope that you're taking advantage of ALL offers of help - particularly things like shopping, washing, cooking and cleaning - and making the most of your time with them like this. Take lots of photos - they grow fast and you'll forget that they were ever this tiny! Much love to you all. xxx
