Congratulations!

Hey!

Today I have a Congratulations card to share, which I made for an old friend who got married at the weekend. As I didn't know the colours for their wedding I kept the colour scheme neutral but classic...

I combined Beautiful Blooms I with the large Congratulations from All Occasion Sentiments #1 and simply embossed them with Cosmic Shimmer True White EP (my FAVE). I added a little touch of glitter to the blooms for it to sparkle & adhered the panel using foam adhesive.

Another CAS card, but my creative juices seem to be flowing again - YAY! So, I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Thinking Of You...

Hey!

It seems ages since I last posted here on the blog, I know I popped in briefly with a card for the NEW Uniko Studio Challenge HERE, but I have been lacking in mojo to create. I'm super grateful for my FABulous DT have kept things going for me here on the blog. Thanks to Amber's post HERE and Gayatri's post HERE.

Anyway, I finally found a little mojo to create this card...

I managed to squeeze 3 challenges into this CAS Thinking Of You card! I wanted to let you the readers know that whatever I may be up to, I am always thinking of you all :)

The 3 challenges I used were the current Retro Sketches sketch seen HERE and below. The current Play Date Cafe challenge colours seen HERE and below and the current Addicted to CAS challenge HERE which is Glitter!

I hope I have inspired you a little today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. It's all a buzz here in the UK as we wait for the exciting news of the arrival of the Royal Baby, AND I am beyond excited for my upcoming holiday & WEDDING! It's only 39 days now till we fly to the USA and if I'm like this now, I dread to think how I will be nearer the time! Haha!

Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by :)

Design Team Inspiration - Inspired by Pinterest!

 Hello everybody,

Gayatri here once again! I was browsing through Pinterest and saw this picture. I immediately thought of Background Builder: Round in Circles Stamp Set from Uniko Studio. Pinterest never fails to inspire me. Never! If you are not on Pinterest, you are missing out on something awesome! But a word of warning: it is very addictive! lol!

Here are the stamp sets I have used to make my card.

BBRoundinCirclesProdPic    AllOccasionSentimentsProdPic

Anyway, here is my card inspired by the picture above.

Now the Background Builder: Round in Circles does not have a solid circle. The trick is to flip the stripped circle stamp and ta da.... you get a solid circle to use:) I stamped the circles in cluster of three leaving the center for the sentiment. The sentiment is from All Occassion Sentiment #1 I love this font. So elegant and beautiful. Here is the closeup of the card.

You can do a lot of variations here. I have done pretty much one layer card. You can emboss some of the circles and stamp the others. You can use gold embossing on the sentiment and stripped circles as shown in the inspirational photo. You can use any colour combination you like. You can even use Thickers Alphas for the sentiment. Hope I have inspired you enough to pick a picture form Pinterest and make a card. If you do make it. Please tag it into Uniko Studio Gallery on Flickr.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey!

Hey there!  Amber here, from Bella Rose Cards.  There is still lots of time left to play in our first ever Uniko Studio Challenge!    I wanted to make another card for the challenge, and decided to use our "Hello" theme along with this cool sketch-
Deconstructed Sketch 110

These colors aren't ones I would normally use, but I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit. =)  I used paper from Echo Park's For the Record 2 collection, along with my Bright Butterflies dies and All Occasion Sentiments #2 stamp set.
If you participate in the Uniko Studio Challenge, you'll have a chance to win a £10 Gift Certificate & Guest Design Team spot on the blog & for the next challenge!
Thanks for looking!

[Uniko Studio Challenge] No. 1 - Say "Hello"

Hello everyone!

It's Ren-Yi here to introduce you to a NEW monthly feature here at Uniko Studio.

Are you a Uniko Studio fan? Have you been looking for a place to show off your stamping skills using Uniko Studio products? Do you like a challenge? Most of all do you like the chance to win stuff? If you've answered YES to any of those then this is for you!

Bev and the girls here decided it was high time for you lovelies to show off your love for stamping, your love for Uniko Studio and your love for community. So we're putting together a monthly challenge to test out waters. In the off chance that this becomes popular, we can talk about a bi-montly event, but let's take it one step at a time.

Since we're starting off for the first time, we thought we'll get things started with an easy challenge. Create a card, project, or anything crafty to say "Hello"

We would love to get to know our lovely readers, fans, and fellow-crafters, so to kick things off this week, we are doing it blog-hop style! As we hop around, the Design Team will share a little random fact about themselves along with a project to say Hello! Feel free to do the same, we love to get to know you!

Hey! Thanks for the intro Ren-Yi! It's Bev here now & I thought I'd create a card with my usual daily greeting! I am in LOVE with the NEW SU! colour Smokey Slate, the ink hasn't left my desk yet since I got it!! I decided to pair the sentiment up with Natures Treasures I and Flower Power #2, just adding a 'pop' of Raspberry with the solid bloom.

So, a random fact about me that you don't know already.... kinda hard this one and it took me longer to think of this than it did to create my card!

"I'm a TV series junkie... I LOVE series like Dexter, Lost, Prison Break and even Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to name but a few - Haha! I can literally sit and watch episode after episode (when I'm not running the business or designing of course!)"

So that's all from me, it's back over to Ren-Yi to tell you the details about the challenge...

The Challenge Rules:
  • You have until August 14th 09:00 UK time, to link your card up below
  • Winners will be announced by August 17th
  • Please add the Uniko Studio Challenge badge & link back to the challenge
  • If you don't have a blog to link back to the challenge, don't worry. Just use "USC"+<challenge number> as your tag. For example, for our first challenge use "USC1"
  • Showcase any Uniko Studio product: clear stamps, dies, digital pattern paper, digital cut files, or digital stamps. If you haven't purchased any Uniko Studio products, fear not. Plenty of freebies here.
The Prizes!
  • A £10 Gift Certificate to the Winner & Guest Design Team spot on the blog & for the next challenge
  • Top Three Spotlight
We hope this is going to be fun. We sure are excited about this new feature on the blog and hope you will play along and spread the Uniko Studio Love!!

Eau Natural & a WINNER!

Hey!

How did you enjoy yesterday's post from Design Team member Gayatri? I thoroughly enjoyed the change :) and I didn't even peek at the post before it went live!

It's going to be a regular feature here on the blog to have different DT members posting a new project or technique throughout the month. I know they all have their own blogs and there are links to them in the sidebar but it's nice to have variety here on the blog. It also takes a some pressure off me not to have to post myself everyday!

Anyway, I do have a card to share today...

I decided to go Eau Natural with my card using a fairly soft colour palette using a mix of grey and a couple of shades of brown & it seemed perfect to use Natures Treasures I

I used the current Crazy for CAS challenge sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card and decided to do make it a portrait card rather than landscape as I knew I wanted to use the long stem leaves from the set.

I've a few more layers to my card than I usually go for but I still think it's pretty CAS. Keeping the focal image & sentiment simple & colours to a minimum helped achieve this.

So that's all from me today, be sure to stop on by tomorrow for another NEW monthly feature here on the blog from the Design Team & me! It also involves you the Uniko Studio fans & customers and of course there is GOOD incentives involved too!

Talking of prizes I totally forgot to announce the random winner of the July Blog Hop who wins Label Love: Thank you clear stamp set. BIG apologies for my tardiness.

And the winner is....

Amy Tsuruta who is commenter 111 on Stacey's blog...

Design Team Inspiration - How to stamp a background!

Hello dear friends,

This is Gayatri here today! I am going to share with you a simple technique for you today. This is a new feature on the blog where the design team members are going to share projects with you. I am making the start today!

I am sharing with you a basic technique but very effect technique - stamping your own background on your card front. I am not going to use a background stamp for it but I am going to use stamps from three different stamp sets to stamp my background. But first here is my card.

Here are the stamp sets I have used. They are Pure Florals: Gerbera, Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum and Time Stamp Sets.

PureFlorals-GerberaStampSetPic  PureFlorals-chrysanthProdPic  TimeWebsitePic

Here is the picture tutorial on how to stamp your own background.

Once you have filled the gap with tiny stamps, here is how the card front looks.

Now that the background is so pretty and colourful, I want to showcase it. So I stamped the sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthamum on a strip of white cardstock and mounted using foam adhesives. Here is the finished card.

Here are two more cards using the same set of stamps plus Flower Power #1 stamp set. I have also interchanged the colours. So the card are similar but not the same.

You can choose your colour combination, combine stamp from different stamp sets and stamp your own background and make a beautiful card gift set. If you make them please upload them into our Flickr gallery. We love to see your gorgeous project.

This is not all, there is another new exciting feature on this blog this Thursday. Yay! Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs!
