CAS Colours & Sketches #296 - The Double!

* CLICK HERE for the Uniko October Reveal, DT Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY post *

Hey!

This week over at CAS Colour & Sketches is Timeless Tuesday, AKA The Double! It is a multiple hostess for October and Karen and Patricia came up with this sketch and colour combo seen HERE and below, to inspire your card making...

And this is how I have combined the two...

Still trying to get a stash of Christmas cards made, I opted to use Winter Foliage. This is one of my 'go to' clear stamp sets for Holiday and Winter themed cards. The Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple colours seemed appropriate for the foliage and berries too.

I then just needed to incorporate the Midnight Muse into my design and did this by using it as my focal panel mat. I added some plain white bakers twine and a sentiment from Simply Said II.

Anyway, the CC&S Design Team have created more awesome inspiration to share with you, so hop on over HERE to see and also find all the challenge details & link up!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Introducing... BIG & BOLD Merry and Background Builders: Christmas 2018

Hey!

Welcome back to day 4 of the October 2018 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part, you now get to see all the sneak peeks in action. The Design Team have worked their socks off and created an abundance of inspiration to share with you over the coming days :)

Thank you for all the comment love yesterday here and on social media. If you missed the first 3 days of introductions, you can catch up HERE, HERE and HERE.

Today we are introducing the final two clear stamp sets, BIG & BOLD Merry and Background Builders: Christmas 2018. I think I have saved my current two favourites till last too ;)

For my card here today I have combined both BIG & BOLD Merry and Background Builders: Christmas 2018. I've wanted to design a Christmas fairy lights stamp for ages and this year it was the year it happened!

The string comes as one stamp, with 3 separate fairy bulb designs. I have created a tangled light background by stamping the string at various angles and then going back in and stamping 2 of the bulb designs.

I've used Stampin' Up! Markers in bright colours for the bulbs and added Clear Wink of Stella for some sparkle too.

The large 'Merry' from Big & Bold Merry is stamped in Stampin' Up! Real Red ink and then once dry I overstepped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Stardust EP. I've then fussy cut this out and adhered it to the card using foam adhesive.

That's all I have to share here today, but be sure to hop along with my AWESOME Design Team to see what they have created. Don't forget to comment along the way. You never know, I might just pick some random comments to WIN some prizes this release ;)

Introducing... Winter Botanicals: Sweet Broom & Quilted Stencil

Hey!

Welcome back to day 3 of the October 2018 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part, you now get to see all the sneak peeks in action. The Design Team have worked their socks off and created an abundance of inspiration to share with you over the coming days :)

Thank you for all the comment love yesterday here and on social media. If you missed yesterday, you can catch up HERE, where myself & the DT introduced 2 Stencil Designs and an addition to the Simply Said Blocks series. You can catch up HERE with day 1, where myself and the Design Team re-introduced Background Builders: Christmas and Jolly Christmas clear stamp sets.

Today we are introducing Winter Botanicals: Sweet Broom & another Stencil, Quilted. Here is a look at the two products.

First up is Winter Botanicals: Sweet Broom, a lovely multi-step foliage clear stamp set. Though I have categorised it as a Winter Botanical, it can be used and paired with a variety of other clear stamps and products all year round.

This was one of the cards we made at last weekends Uniko Stamping Retreat and I wanted to show how the detail stamps can be used on their own and not just as shading inside the outline foliage stamps.

I was inspired by an Autumnal sunset when I chose the colours for my ink blended panel and I used Altenew inks. The foliage stamp and sentiment (from Simply Said Blocks) are stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

Next is another card we made at the Stamping Retreat and it was technique based, embossing with stencils...

I'd never tried embossing with stencils before I made this card and it was one technique which inspired me to create this stencil design. I was so chuffed with how the embossing turned out and I'm kinda loving embossing with stencils!

I wanted to make sure the embossed background wasn't obscured too much, so I chose to use the flowers from Beautiful Blooms III and a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks.

That's all I have to share here, but my AWESOME Design Team have created projects to share with you all too. Be sure to hop along, commenting along the way. You never know, I might just pick some random comments to WIN some prizes this release ;)
