Brand Ambassador Inspiration...Merry & Bright Christmas Snowflakes

Hello,

Carol here, warmly welcoming you to my Uniko Studio Brand Ambassador showcase, where I bring out a few Uniko favourites for a play date.

As you know, Bev has recently launched a new release, where everything...and I do mean EVERYTHING is absolutely sensational, especially for the rapidly approaching Christmas season.

One of my favourites (okay...they're all favourites) is the new, stylish Sparkling Snowflake die. In my release post, I shared a rustic version of the snowflake; today, I'm going bold, and bright with traditional colours (and a touch of pink, just because)!

I've paired the die with the companion stamps from Stunning Snowflakes and a sentiment built from Festive Sentiments. The snowflake is adhered atop two red snowflakes (the leftovers from my tri-fold card, also shared in my release post) for an additional hint of colour/dimension.

Hope my card, along with the stunning beauties that have been created by my teammates, inspire you to invite this lovely die into YOUR collection!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Three the same ..... but different

Happy Wednesday ......

Good morning it's Linda here.  I hope you're having a good week.
I don't want to cause a panic or anything but ..... eight weeks today and it will be Christmas Day!!!!
Only EIGHT weeks ....... eeeek!!!!

Luckily my holidays are over, so I can finally start thinking about everything festive.  All the cards and tags that need making, all the presents that need buying .......... and the food!!!!  Is it too early to decorate the tree?  Maybe just a little.

I have made a start on some cards though.  The latest Uniko release is fabulously festive and perfect for the job.
The new Winter Foliage stencil is a great design for making quick and easy cards, that look fabulous.
Here's three simple designs, all the same but each one a little different .......

The finished card size is a cute 5x5 inch square, and there's not much in the way of layers so they're great for posting too!

I cut three squares of white cardstock slightly smaller than the front of my cardblanks, and masked around the edges of each one using low tack stencil tape.
I then used Distress Oxide inks to add just a touch of colour to each of the backgrounds ......... Evergreen Bough (love this colour) applied lightly with a brush

Weathered Wood ...... (another of my favourites).

This time I used a stencil brush to add the colour, applying the ink in one direction, leaving brush marks to give the look of woodgrain

and finally Peeled Paint, lightly brushed over the card ......... it does look more green in real life!

I then inked through the stencil onto each of the backgrounds.
Different colours on the Evergreen Bough ......... Gathered Twigs for the pine cones, Festives Berries for the berries, Forest Moss for the ivy leaves, Mowed Lawn for the holly and finally Evergreen Bough for the fir

I used just the one colour on the other two ....... Evergreen Bough on top of the Weathered Wood ....

and Gold metallic ink on the Peeled Paint ......

You can see I've added a little crystal glitter to the designs to give the cards some sparkle

and also a few dots of glitter glue here and there and some white enamel accents ....

The new Festive Sentiments Outlined stamp set goes perfectly with the stencil and there's so many sentiments to choose from .......

Heat embossed and then coloured using glitter gel pens ......

Or, simply stamped in black ink and coloured .......

So many options, and so many colours to choose from ..... the choice is all yours.

Thanks for popping by ...... enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheerio until next time .....

Rahmat - focus on Season of Beauty - October release

Hello friends I am up with a card using the recent release from Uniko - season of beauty.
I have used only the leaf here to create the Poinsettia. I stamped the leaves in distress inks, watercolored with the same ink and fussy cut and crested the flower.

I stamped the sprig on the base and then arranged the flower on top of that.
The sentiment is from the same set.

You still have time to hop along the release hop to win the entire release.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

More Ideas using Sentiments as a Background - Brand Ambassador Inspiration

Good afternoon folks.
It's Julie here with a few more ideas using sentiments as a background.

On Saturday I shared a card using a panel created with lots of sentiment stamps. As it takes awhile to lay all the sentiments out, it made sense to stamp a load on different coloured card for use later. I even had another go at creating a slightly different one whilst I listened to the footy on a wet Saturday afternoon!

My first card uses one of my first layouts. As you can see there are lots of different fonts and sentiments which I laid out on my MISTI before stamping with Versafine and embossing with clear EP. This example was done on white card and inked over with Salty Ocean DOx in a resist technique.

I used the idea of a bauble, cutting out a circle from the inked panel and the slipped the large Sparkling Snowflake, die cut from holographic card, behind. A little bit of thin silver ribbon and a bow completes. The finished panel was popped up on foam over a white base card.

My second card uses a different layout, this time it has a more horizontal design to accommodate a landscape design.

I used the trapped colour technique to create this background, stamping and embossing as before but this time on a panel of watercolour paper previously inked with Salty Ocean DI that was left to dry well before stamping. After heat embossing, I spritzed the blue panel and then wiped off the ink leaving behind the colour trapped behind the embossing. The top panel was cut with a scalloped edge die and some snowflakes from Stunning Snowflakes were stamped in Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch DI. Finally, I popped up the white panel on pads over the inked one on a white base card.

Finally I went all silvery for a change!

This panel was stamped and embossed with clear EP before cutting out the central NOEL with an alphabet die set. After cutting, I added Weathered Wood to the base but left the letters clear. I glued my panel onto a base card then added some grey foam letters and then the white ones on top. To complete I added a small die cut snowflake from the new Big n Bold Snow dies and a few diamante gems.
Three different looks, all from the same starting point. Hope I've given you a few more ideas for your Christmas card making, I've still got a load more to make but I still have plenty of backgrounds to use!

Merry Monday with Rustic Wreath

Happy Monday!

It's half term here this week, which means no school for The Beans and a fun filled week of activities for us all. Well, me and them as daddy still has to go to work :( Today we have a Pumpkin Painting adventure, they absolutely loved this last year and I can't wait to see how their creativity has evolved!

Anyway, with daylight savings at the weekend I maximised my extra hour getting creative and a tiny bit ahead as creative / work time this week will be limited to a night.

I'm back today with some more Merry Monday inspiration and this time I dusted off an older Uniko Christmas clear stamp sets, Rustic Wreath and Background Builders Vines Winter Additions...

Firstly I was inspired by the sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches seen HERE and below to make a classic style Christmas Wreath card.

I stamped the wreath image in one of my favourite Altenew greens, Olive and then proceeded to add to the wreath by stamping the pinecones and berries.

The poinsettia flowers are from Background Builders Vines Winter Additions and I have fussy cut them out and adhered them with double sided tape. I added some Autumn Red Nuvo Drops to the berries to give them a little dimension and decided to stamp the Joy sentiment from Festive Sentiments Outlined.

Lastly for today I created another CAS wreath card, but this time I put my fussy cutting skills to the test even more by cutting out the wreath!

This time I filled out the wreath with more of the pine branches and twig sprigs from the Rustic Wreath set. Again I added Autumn Red Nuvo Drops to the berries and fussy cut the poinsettias. This time the sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

Hopefully from this last photo you can see that the wreath is adhered to the card using foam adhesive to give a little dimension and interest.

I think out of the two cards this last one is my favourite. I like how the wreath turned out to be a little fuller by adding the extra pine sprigs in a darker Moss green and all the white space to show it off makes me happy!

That's all I have to share with you today. I hope you all have a wonderful day and find some time to be creative.

Festive Featured In Friday!

Happy Friday!

It's been a strange week here at Uniko HQ, it feels as though Friday has come round quick, but at the same time it has been a long week!

Today I am sharing about another Uniko feature, this time in the NEW issue of Die Cutting Essentials magazine which hit the stores yesterday.

For this feature Kirstie the editor of the magazine wanted something festive, but as I didn't have my newest Designer Die release to hand, I set to using the super popular BIG & BOLD Happy Designer Dies which I released back in February this year.

With this die collection being released when Uniko was celebrating their 7th Birthday and the majority of projects shown using this product have been birthday related, it was the perfect opportunity to show how they can be used for other occasions, including Christmas!

Here are a couple of the cards from the feature in the magazine...

For this first card I used the die which cuts out the word happy and I have paired it with the holly from Winter Foliage and the Christmas sentiment from Most Wonderful. As I didn't have any glimmer or foil card to die cut the word from the match the heat embossed Christmas sentiment, I used VersaMark ink to smother the die cut and heat emboss with the same powder. I repeated until I achieved a lovely smooth coverage.

Next, I couldn't resist making a shaker card!

For this card I used the coordinating BIG & BOLD Happy clear stamp set for the stamped background and sentiment.

I'm HAPPY to report that the BIG & BOLD Happy Designer Dies are back in stock and available on the website :)

That's all from me today, but I do hope you will pop back tomorrow at 9am to join myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors for the October Post Release Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Until then, thanks for stopping by today!
