Happy Throwback Thursday.
This week I've been busy prepping for Crafterama Kent and I gave the Uniko display boards a little refresh. I was looking through card samples and came across these two using Kindness Blooms.

Happy Throwback Thursday.
Today I am sharing another card we made at one of the May Uniko Stamping Retreats. I originally made this Pure Florals Gerbera card in August 2012 and this is the original.

Happy Thursday.
I thought it would be fun to do a little Throwback to where it all began. There are a few new to Uniko followers and customers, so you might not know much about the beginnings of this little company.
First up, I'm Bev. I am the owner and designer of all things Uniko. I wear all the hats here in the studio, from designer, customer service, picker packer and everything in between. I absolutely LOVE everything I do.
I especially love meeting lovely customers at shows and crafting with them at Uniko Stamping Retreats. It can often feel a little isolating working alone, but it can also be very rewarding and I am proud of what I have achieved in 14 years.
Ok, so where did it begin...
Back in 2005 I started a BA (Hons) in Textiles & Surface Design. Though the course concentrated more on drawing, sewing and printing across fashion, interiors and the gift industry. I saw more and more links and associations with the paper crafting industry. In 2008 my mother died suddenly and my whole world turned upside down, I was close to quitting everything, including my degree. However, I decided that life was too short and instead of quitting the degree I quit nursing and concentrated my efforts into the degree. It was in my final 2 years that the idea of Uniko was born.
Hello & Happy Thursday!
Today I thought I would do a little Throwback Thursday. I chose the Doodle Flowers clear stamp set as my muse and this card...
Do you remember this card?
On it I used the heat embossing, masking and blending technique and too those to create this new version.
What do you think?
Happy Thursday!
With today being the first Thursday of Uniko's birthday month, I thought I would share a bit about how, when & where Uniko began. I think it has been a while since I shared this story... 2016!
You might want to grab a drink, I didn't realise how much I waffled on and apologies to those who have heard all this before!
Hey!
Okay, so I am playing catch up! Life just simply got in the way.
I spent Thursday mainly stressed with getting the oven fitted. We had one guy not turn up and spent the afternoon getting someone else to come out the same day. I am pleased to report that it did FINALLY get fitted and just in time for it to 'do its thing' before cooking tea!
How about a throwback to another Christmas past before I announce a the comment winner from my Time Hop Tuesday post HERE.
Rustic Wreath has been sitting on the shelf next to my work area since starting on my Christmas makes with the intention of inking it up again, which I still plan on doing at some point! So how about a little throwback to November 2016 when it was introduced and a look at the trio of cards I made...
It was and always is a joy to read everyones lovely comments on the blog, it does make me smile and my heart happy, so a BIG thank you to everyone that takes the time to stop by and comment :)
The lucky comment chosen by random number generator is no.9...
Such beautiful cards Bev! If I were to hop back to a favourite Uniko product release it would be when Winter Foliage was released. It remains my all time most used and most useful stamp set for Christmas and can be combined with so many of my other stamps! It was the stamp set that first introduced me to Uniko too, and I've been a fan ever since!! Vicky x
Congratulations Vicky!
Drop me an email with your postal address and I will pop a prize in the mail to you.
Thanks for stopping by, I will be back a bit later today with Countdown to Christmas Day 18!
