Christmas in July - Win it Wednesday & a Winner!

Happy Wonderful Wednesday!

My goodness its a warm one here in the NE of England 🥵 Another heat wave has landed and it's been a challenge working today. Hence my late post as it is cooling down ever so slightly in the studio.

Today I dusted off Rustic Wreath, as this little beauty is due back in stock in the next week or so. It feels like its been ages since I used this set, so it was nice to ink it up again.

As you can see I crazily opted to stamp and heat emboss the wreath in WOW! Polished Gold EP. Not the best crafting technique to do in a heat wave 🤣

I then added a little accent, which is sneaky sneak peek at something coming at the end of the month. You might recognise the bow, but its a miniature version of the one you know and love from Mid Century Modern Baubles. I added a few Autumn Red Nuvo Crystal Drops to accent and one of the sentiments from the stamp set.

How about this stunning green card? This is the new Concord & 9th Basil colour and I love it.

Anyway, thats all the inspiration I have to share today, so how about a little prize. I have a spare set of the Rustic Wreath to give away to one lucky comment left here on the blog or any social media post I share this card on.

Comment by 31st July 2026 and I will randomly select a comment. Winners will be posted at the start of August. If the winner already owns this beauty an alternative prize to the same value will be offered.

AND before I go and lay in front of the fan again, I have randomly selected a winner for the June 2026 Release Brand Ambassador Hop.

Congratulations to Jane D, please send me an email to bev@uniko.co.uk to claim your prize 🎉

Be sure to stop by the blog tomorrow for more Christmas in July inspiration.

A Warm Welcome 😃

Happy Wednesday.

I am delighted you have stopped by today as we are giving a warm welcome and introduction to our newest Brand Ambassador, Denise Morgans. I'm sure you are familiar with Denise's work around blog land and social media as she is on a few challenge design teams and is a frequent participant in previous Uniko Challenges here on the blog and an active member in the Uniko VIP Facebook Group. If not, I am passing you over to Denise for a little introduction....

Hi everyone, my name is Denise, and I live in a small town in South Wales, UK.  I have been paper crafting for as long as I can remember and started my blog in 2008. I was lucky enough to take early retirement a few years ago so enjoy crafting even more now that I have more free time. Crafting keeps me sane and I love making anything involving paper [cards, tags, ATCs, etc]!  I am still pinching myself at being asked to join this amazing team, as Bev says I've been a long-time lover of Uniko.

Welcome Denise.

Here are a few of my recent favourite Uniko makes by Denise...

Now you can see why I am delighted to have Denise join us here at Uniko and I am sure you are all as excited as I am to see Denise in action, not long to wait as we have Release Week coming next week!

I would love it if you would leave some welcoming comment love.

Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Stencil Sunday - Doodle Flowers

Happy Stencil Sunday.

It seems like all I have said this week is, it's been a while since I. And Stencil Sunday is another post I feel I haven't done for SO long.

I am back today with a stencil feature.

This month in the Uniko VIP Facebook Group, the challenge is to ink up those stencils. I chose the Stencil - Doodle Flower

I've not inked this stencil up for ages and it was so much fun. I used Honeysuckle, Poppy and Marmalade for my colours and for my sentiment I used a varierty from the coordinating Doodle Flowers clear stamp set.

That's all from me today, but I will be back with more to share tomorrow.

Uniko's Top 25 Products of 2025 - Number 9

Happy Wonderful Wednesday.

We're into the top 10 of Uniko's 25 Products of 2025. These have been determined by sales this year. Coming in at number 9 is Mid Century Modern Florals

It warms my heart to see this stamp set in the top 25, let alone the top 10. Especially when this stamp set originally debuted in May 2019!

Here are a few of my favourite makes using this set.

And today I have shared a quick YouTube short HERE showing how I stamped six floral ideas using this stamp set.

Along with flowers, this stamp set has so much more potential with the fun graphic shapes. It's just a case of letting your creativity take control.

BA Inspiration -

Evening all Julie here with a little bit of BA Inspiration. Have you got all your Christmas cards made and posted? I hope I have but I do have a few spare just in case.

If you've been really organised and made and sent your Christmas cards, how about an idea for a quick New Year card?

On an A6 top fold, white note card, I stamped the Background Blocks- Party Confetti in Versamark and embossed with jewelled gold EP. On a separate panel of white, I used the numerals from the Alphabet Solid set to create the 2026 in more of the jewelled gold EP. This was mounted on a slightly larger black one then added over my confetti with foam pads. A simple sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas in black completes.

A very simple design that you could ring the changes with by using gold on black or perhaps silver on black. How about replacing the year with HB2U for a simple birthday card, the possibilities are endless!

Anyway that's it from me for the moment, hope you have a fab Christmas and KEEP CRAFTING!!

Fabulous Friday - Welcome Natalie Seddons 🎉

Happy Fabulous Friday.

I'm absolutely delighted to be kicking off the weekend with a welcome to the Uniko Brand Ambassadors post.

I know you will, but please give a warm welcome to Natalie Seddons.

I've know Natalie for quite a few years now and always been in awe of her colouring skills. Natalie has worked colouring and creative magic with Uniko products.

Here are some of my favourites...

Spring Botanicals Daffodil

Organically Zesty

Mid Century Modern Baubles

Now, I will hand you over to Natalie for a little introduction and a new card...

Hi I’m Natalie aka momma sedds and I’m very excited to be joining the Uniko team. I’m currently on maternity leave and trying to craft away whilst the little one naps!

I started card-making back in 2011 but I’ve always been colouring and creating away. As soon as I found Copics and Distress inks I really found my style and they are my absolute favourite medium to work.

I hope you like my creations and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Just look at that beautiful poinsettia. One day I'll be able to have the patience and colour like this. Now, it wouldn't be a Fabulous Friday Welcome without a website discount

From 9am today, Friday 24th October - 23:59 Sunday 26th October I have an automatic 15% off all orders on the website 🎉

No code necessary, discount will show during the checkout process.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today & happy shopping!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration, Uniko's VIP FB Challenge Reminder

Good morning, Julie here with a little bit of BA inspiration and a reminder of Uniko's VIP FB challenge.
This month it's a colour themed one.
These colours suggest an autumnal theme perhaps, but I've gone down the Christmas route with this design using Season Of Beauty stamp set.
My starting point was a card made by a blogging friend from Color Hues, Bonnie. She used a background stamp and watercolouring with inks to make the base for a card for the latest challenge and it got me thinking I could do something similar using the Season of Beauty set. Here's my design.

I started by embossing the poinsettia and foliage with white EP on an A6 panel of Mixed Media paper. I smooshed some of Altenew's Desert Night ink onto a kraft mat then wet the whole panel with water and added the ink with a brush. The water makes the ink lighter than the original, literally diluting the colour. To achieve the patchy look, I removed some of the ink with a piece of kitchen roll before it dried. I haven't used Altenew's ink like this before and it is not as forgiving as Distress Inks, which I usually use but the colour was a better match to the swatch.
On some scrap white card, I stamped the poinsettia with Carved Pumpkin and Ripe Persimmon DI for the 2 top layers. I filled in some of the white around the sepals with more Carved Pumpkin. The foliage and green sepals I inked with Forest Moss and Peeled Paint DI, adding water to blend out the lines.
My yellow flowers we originally stamped with Wild Honey DI but they got a bit lost, so I added some dots of white gel pen over and a touch of a yellow Copic marker.

On a circle of white card, I used the Desert Night ink to stamp the sentiment and on a slightyly larger one, I added some of the same ink to create a matte. The elements were then fussy cut and added to my sentiment panel. Meanwhile, I added my inky background to a 5 x 7inch white base card and then placed the layered focal point on to that.

That's it from me for today but please consider jopining in over on Facebook for a chance to win an e-voucher worth £10 to spend in the Uniko store. You've got until October 10th to play.

Happy Anniversary - Celebrating 12 Years 💞

Happy Saturday.

Today is our 12th wedding anniversary and I thought I would share the card I made for hubby before we left. Not sure how I was so organised before we left!

This has a clue as to where we are celebrating today 😍

I used the Spellbinders Steamboat Willie Duo Etched Dies, I couldn't resist these when I saw them released as I simply LOVE everything Disney!

I kept things quite simple and classic for my Mickey & Minnie this time. There are quite a few different poses and combinations. Of course I had to include a little Uniko in there too! I used the Everyday Love Sentiments for the sentiment and Big & Bold Love for the tiny hearts.

Wishing you a magical day!
