Friday Focus - Balloon Stencil and a Reminder

What says happy birthday more than balloons, so when my daughter asked me to make a card for her dance teachers 50th this is what I came up with.

On a panel of white card I inked an array of balloons using Balloon Bash stencil and some rainbow colours of Distress Oxides. I chose, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron, Wilted Violet, and Picked Raspberry. I filled the 5 x 7" white panel with an array of different balloons, overlapping them to create a sense of depth. Once complete, I splattered some water over the top and lifted it off with a clean paper towel to create the effect of confetti. There is a stencil to create the balloon strings but I prefered to add them freehand with a black fineliner pen. 

On a scrap of black card I stamped the 50 Sensational Years with one of Bev's earliest releases, Classic Numbers in Versamark and embossed with white EP. It was then trimmed to create a banner and added to my now trimmed down panel. Happy birthday from the Doodle Flowers set was stamped above and the finished panel added to a 5 x 7" white card base.

Judging by the photos on FB, the old classmates had a fabulous time, as did the birthday girl!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Beautiful Butterflies

Morning all, 

Happy to be here today with some Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration and I am absolutely in love with these combinations of Uniko stencils and gorgeous Uniko stamps.

Here I have used the inner stencil from the Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies stencil bundle. I have ink blended around the outside using Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. Once dry I stamped the Uniko Pure Florals: Peony and a sentiment from Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set using black ink. Finally I added some Nuvo drops.

My next card uses the outer stencil from the Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies stencil bundle, this time using Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks. Again I have used the Uniko Pure Florals: Peony stamp and the sentiment is from the Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set. Again I have used some Nuvo drops to add interest to the right hand side of the butterfly. 

For my final card I have used the inner stencil from the Uniko Tropical Leaf #2 stencil set and ink blended with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide. To keep the Butterfly theme I used the Uniko English Country Garden - Butterflies stamp set and again the Uniko Birthday Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment.

Let The Celebrations Begin 🎉

 

Hello February & Happy Thursday 😃

This month at Uniko we are Celebrating Twelve Years 🎉 all month long. I've planned lots of inspiration, fun giveaways & creative competitions. PLUS we have a Brand New Release 👏🏻

Today I am kicking things off with a little Throwback Thursday, looking back at year eleven and a few things you may or may not have missed. 

In year eleven Uniko released 18 new clear stamp sets...

Six Stencil Designs, three of which are unique and innovative. And we had one new Designer Die Collection. 

Along with all these new products I stepped out of my comfort zone and explored some new avenues and collaborations. 

In May 2023 the Exclusive Uniko Picked Posies Collection with CraftStash was launched and is still currently available HERE.

And to top that The Uniko Papercraft Society Box was launched in November on subscription and is now available to purchase as a stand alone box HERE.

I know I haven't shared much about this fun box of goodies, I have been meaning to do a YouTube video, so be on the look out over the next couple of days for that. But for now, how about a card using some of the collection...

Now, if you've been around here for previous Uniko Birthday celebrations, you'll know that it is a month full of fun and of course, lots of giveaways.
