Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Uniko Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop!

Hey!

I am so glad you have stopped by today as today we have a Uniko Design Team Countdown to Christmas Blog Hop. I decided to put on this extra Design Team blog hop as not all the team received their November Release goodies in time for the release day blog hop HERE.

So, we are all here today with more inspiration using the Uniko November 2015 Release products, which are still in stock but a couple of the sets I only have a small amount of stock left ;)

As usual I left making my samples to the last minute, but I am quite pleased with what I created in a few hours & I hope you like them too! As not to make this post HUGE I will be sharing the rest of my projects HERE on the website blog.

Ok, onto my card...

I was inspired firstly by THIS card here on Pinterest for my layout & secondly for my colour choices the current Fusion Card Challenge HERE and inspiration photo below.

One thing I love to do when designing Uniko clear stamps is to provide creative options when stamping. So when I designed Essentially Christmas I wanted to create 2 step stamps which could also be used individually on their own.

This card and another of my cards today HERE on the website blog shows my CAS style of 2 step stamping. Basically an outline stamp & a solid stamp, yes, it is simple, but it also provides endless possibilities!

Ok, that's all from me on this blog today, but please CLICK HERE to see more from me ;) Don't forget that by commenting here and on all the Design Team blogs along the way you will be in the chance of winning the ENTIRE RELEASE! (Or an eGift Certificate to the value of any of the products from the release you may have purchased).

Now I'm handing you over to the Uniko Design Team, who have 'Rocked' this release around the Christmas Tree! Lol!

CAS Colours & Sketches Guest Designer

Hey & Happy Thanksgiving to ALL my friends in the USA & those who celebrate!

I'm back this afternoon with my last Guest Designer card & post for CAS Colours & Sketches, I'mve had so much fun in the studio creating for the challengesand the colours & sketches for November are certainly 'challenging' me to step outside of my comfort zone!

Anyway, this week is sketch week & this super CAS sketch had me stumped for a while but then I had an 'Ah Ha' moment. You can see this weeks sketch & challenge HERE and below...

And this is the result of my 'Ah Ha' moment...

I have been slowly sorting through some old stash that has been stored away in the garage since we moved in February and I came across this cute little Santa that I bought a long long time ago from the Ink Pad in NYC.

He just so happens to fit perfectly inside the film strip frame from Strike A Pose! and so that is what happened! In the other film strip I used a sentiment from the now retired Jolly Christmas clear stamp set.

As you can see I embossed both the film strip frames with stardust embossing powder, fussy cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. With all the detail to the centre of the card I added a little corner detail to the white panel before adhering it to my white card base.

Ok, that's all from me just now, but be sure to head on over to the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE to see the Design Team's fabulous samples & I hope to see you in the gallery!

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Freshly Made Merry Christmas!

Hey!

It's been a long & stressful day for this mummy here at Uniko HQ with 2 little beans still not feeling themselves, unfortunately I wasn't feeling much better myself :( They did perk up a bit after their nap & so did I after mine!

So tonight I have had a little crafting session to relax & chill a little and so I made a card to share with you using the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below...

AND this is what I came up with using the sketch...

I still had Labelled Christmas on my desk from yesterdays project (along with a whole heap of stuff) and seeing the sketch I instantly thought of them. I have paired it with a sentiment from Rustic Christmas which fits wonderfully in a die cut banner.

Keeping it short & sweet as I may have found a little mojo and enjoyed my crafty session but I think I need some more rest so it'll be an early night for me!

I'll be back tomorrow though with more to share as I have one more GD post with CAS Colours & Sketches. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Holly Jolly Christmas CAS Style!

Hey!

Sorry for being MIA for a few days, my creative mojo took a little wander and is taking it's time in returning! Do you ever have times when you lack creativity & what do you do to get it back? I'd love to know it's not just me ;)

I'm also feeling a little under the weather today, I seem to have caught the beans cold :( and the poor little beans are teething along with their cold & are full on clingy during the day. So, my card today is super CAS...

I decided to play along with the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge colours seen HERE and below. This time around I decided to go festive, I think a little bit of panic has set in that I have less than a month now to organise myself!

For my card I have paired the 'Holly Jolly' label from Labelled Christmas with the 2 step stamping holly & berries from Background Builders: Christmas. I used the same colours as I did for my GD card for CC&S HERE, VersaMagic Oasis Green, SU! Calypso Coral & Encore Silver. To enhance the silver label I foam mounted it onto some SU! sparkle paper.

They are also having a DT call at CAS Colours & Sketches, be sure to check it out. Ok, that's all from me today, I can hear movement on the beans monitor, so I think it'll be back to mummy duty in a few!

Until the next time, thank you for stopping by.

CAS Colours & Sketches Guest Designer

Hey!

I'm back this afternoon with my third Guest Designer card & post for CAS Colours & Sketches, I'm sure having a lot of fun in the studio at the moment and the colours & sketches for November are certainly 'challenging' me to step outside of my comfort zone!

Anyway, this week is colour week & these are the yummy colours, they have suggested Stampin' Up! colours but you can use any brand as long as the colours are as close to the challenge as possible.

Such a lovely colour combo and this is what I came up with...

I've been wanting to create a wedding card since I got the November release stamps, but never got round to it during release week. So when I saw the challenge colours I immediately thought, weddings!

I have combined 4 Uniko clear stamp sets on my card, Jingle Bells, Flower Power #6, Natures Treasures II and Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum. I don't have the SU! colours above, so I used SU! Calypso Coral & VersaMagic Oasis Green.

All the leaves, flowers & bells are fussy cut out & then layered together on the card & adhered using double sided tape. The sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum is stamped in Silver Encore ink but not embossed with stardust EP like the bells. I finished my card off with a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins for good measure!

That's all I have for today on this blog, but I do have my the Stamp Of The Week card HERE. Be sure to stop on by the CAS Colours & Sketches blog HERE to join in on the challenge & I look forward to seeing your creations in the gallery.

TIME OUT Uniko Sponsor WINNER!

Hey!

I'm back this morning to announce the WINNER of the recent TIME OUT Uniko Sponsor challenge HERE.

Along with Uniko sponsoring the challenge to win an in stock stamp set of choice, by joining in on the challenge. I also added a comment prize for one lucky comment to win the Label Love: Thank you set which was our Stamp Of The Week when the challenge started.

So, without further ado, after the comments were counted & in order of the hop, random.org helped me to pick a lucky comment...

Lucky comment #45 is...

Beautiful card Jane! I love that the floral wreath is continued beyond the raised ring. So delicate and lovely!

Congratulations Dana & Glen! Please send me an email to sales@uniko.co.uk along with you mailing address by Thursday 3rd December 2015. I will then get your prize on it's way to you :)

I couldn't write a post without sharing a card ;) so I had a go at the current TIME OUT Challenge HERE, which is a CASE challenge. We are casing Karen from Snippets & this is the CASE card...

And this is what I came up with...

I was inspired by the rectangular frame of the image & how the sentiment over hangs onto the white space on Karen's card. So I recreated my own style of this using the polaroid frame from Strike A Pose! the tiny sentiments from Jolly Christmas and the holly leaves from Essentially Christmas. The jolly die cut is SU!.

My card is fairly flat, with the frame & sentiments stamped straight onto the card base. The holly leaves are fussy cut out and a little button added for interest.

Ok, that's all from me, be sure to check in on the TIME OUT Challenge blog HERE to see if you are a WINNER over there!

I will be back in a few hours with another Guest Designer post for CAS Colours & Sketches, I do hope you will pop back ;) Until then, thanks for stopping by.

Uniko Sponsors CASology!

* CLICK HERE for my first post today & CAS Colours & Sketches reminder *

Hey!

I am back again today to let you know that Uniko is proud to be sponsoring the new challenge over at CASology this week HERE - YAY!

This week at CASology the challenge cue word is...

And this is how I was inspired by the cue word...

I decided to use a 'pretty' Christmas flower on my card, the 4 step stamping poinsettia along with the holly & ribbon motif from the newly released Jingle Bells clear stamp set. I added some 'pretty' gold glitter to my ribbon tails for the added Christmas sparkle!

I used the SU! Grunge Grid again for my BG, stamping it in VersaMagic Pixie Dust first onto my white CS layer, I then stamped the holly ribbon image in Tea Leaves VersaMagic, but then went over the ribbon lines with a black fine liner as I wanted them to show through the glitter and define them.

The poinsettia is stamped with all 4 layers & fussy cut out, I will be sharing a little tutorial later in the week as to how I stamp the poinsettia & the order I stamp the layers. The sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas, the Stamp Of The Week this week HERE. I have masked the sentiment before stamping it as a cluster rather than the straight line stamp it comes as.

Again I used the CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card, it is such a fun sketch ;)

Anyway, be sure to check out the CASology Challenge HERE & join in, there is a £15 eGift Certificate to spend in store over HERE at Uniko.

Ok, that is all from me today on this blog, I will be back tomorrow with more to share & over on the website blog later with another card using the Stamp Of The Week, Simply Said Christmas. Until next time, thank you for stopping by today.
