Mid Century Modern Baubles & Introducing MCM Baubles Stencil & Mask Inspiration Week

Hello & Happy Monday.

Today I am kicking off a Mid Century Modern Baubles Inspiration Week, to also introduce a NEW addition Mid Century Modern Baubles Stencil & Mask, to use with or even without the stamp set. This new stencil will be available to purchase on Saturday 29th November.

Mid Century Modern Baubles was release back in July / August 2023 and has been a firm favourite for all those who love, like me, the Mid Century Modern theme.

Here are a couple of my favourites I made back when the stamps were released.

When I designed this stamp set, I also designed a stencil & mask to go along side it. However, at the time I thought it was too 'simple' and not necessary.

Since then I have had LOTS of requests to bring a stencil out that makes colouring these baubles a breeze. Especially useful for those who like ink blending like myself.

So I introduce you to the Mid Century Modern Baubles Stencil & Mask.

And of course I have some inspiration to share with you today using this new addition.

For my first card I wanted to achieve a similar look to the first card above. I started with the Mid Century Modern Baubles Stencil and inked the larger bauble, first with Poppy to the middle of the bauble, then with Cranberry to the outer edges.

I then stamped the black details from the Mid Century Modern Baubles clear stamp set, finally adding a bow stamped in Sunflower ink, fussy cut and adhered using glue. I topped it off with a gold embellishment.

Next up today I wanted to show how you can use the stencil and mask to add colour to the stamped baubles.

For this card I started by stamping the bauble on the left. I then used the coordinating stencil shape to ink through using Grapefruit ink. I then used the corresponding mask to mask this bauble to stamp the bauble behind. I kept the mask in place and then coloured the second bauble with Aqua Sky ink.

Next I stamped the details of the baubles. Again, I kept the bauble mask in place on the left bauble and stamped the solid circle shape with Oceanside and the burst detail in Peacock.

For the bauble on the left I used Sorbet and Cayenne respectively.

Lastly I finished with bows stamped in Cayenne and Peacock, which I fussy cut before adhering and adding a gold embellishment. The sentiment is another from the stamp set.

These two cards barely scratch the surface of the creative possibilities this stencil has and as I am only releasing this one stencil, I thought it would be fun to have a Brand Ambassador inspiration week, leading up to the release of the stencil & mask on Saturday 29th November 9am GMT. Where we will have a traditional Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & Giveaway.

Be sure to pop by tomorrow for more inspiration from myself and Anita.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas Blossom

Good morning,

Steph here today looking at how to use non Christmas stencils to create Christmas cards.

As with our revisit of the 2025 Uniko release products earlier this month, I have focussed my Brand Ambassador inspiration on Christmas and a 2025 release product, namely Uniko Layering Spring Blossom stencil.

I have used one inking of the Spring Blossom stencil to create all three cards and added elements to the last card using Uniko Layering Bauhaus Christmas Blocks stencil.

Once I had inked the panel in Christmas colours, I placed a stitched die so that half of it contained the florals and half did not. I then stamped the 'Peace, Love &' part of the sentiment onto the blank half. On another piece of card I stamped 'joy' from the Uniko Big & Bold Joy stamp set, fussy cut, adhered to vellum and fussy cut leaving a border.

From the remaining inked panel I die cut a circle and mat it to a larger die cut circle of dark green card. I stamped the sentiment from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set and adhered this using foam pads.

This left me with just a small amount of the inked panel remaining so I die cut an oval and used the Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles stamp set to add a bauble hanger. I inked up two circles using elements from the Uniko Bauhaus Christmas Blocks stencil and added bauble hangers. I threaded all three 'baubles' with twine and adhered to a rectangle of card which I then adhered to the card blank using foam pads. Finally I added a sentiment from the Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set.

Hopefully I've given you some inspiration today and shown you how you can create Christmas cards without necessarily using Christmas stencils or stamps.

Much love

Festive Friday Mid Century Modern Style Part 2 and 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways Day 8

Happy Festive Friday!

Today I am back with more festive Mid Century Modern Style Christmas cards and 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways Day 8.

Today I decided to ink up Mid Century Modern Baubles and share my quicker colouring tip. You can watch it HERE on my YouTube short. You know me, anything for a quick colour option!

As you can see I went with some softer more pastel shades and it's funny as I seem to always reach for similar colours when using this stamp set. I must challenge myself to use some brights and traditional Christmas colours with these baubles!

I've added a little dimension with adhering the upper bauble with foam tape and I also added a little bit of sparkle using a jelly pen.

Before I go, the giveaway. Be sure to leave a comment by 31st July 2025 for your chance to win this stamp set I've used on this card If you are the lucky winner picked randomly from comments left across Uniko’s social media and already own the products, an alternative will be offered.

Winners will be announced first week of August 2025.

A Very Merry Mid Century Modern Monday Part 1 and 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways Day 6

Happy Merry Mid Century Monday!

I had this idea in my head to use Mid Century Modern Florals and make a festive wreath. I do love a wreath on a Christmas card, and although there is Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder, I always like to stretch my non Christmas stamps.

This is what I came up with.

I love this off centre look and I've done it a few times with wreaths, I think it adds impact. Anyway, I started by drawing a circle with a pencil as a guide to stamp the leaves.

I used the larger pair from the stamp set, first stamping in Parsley and then again in Evergreen to fill in the gaps.

Usually I would go for evenly spaced leaves, but I stamped with a block and like how it is quirky and uneven. I think this adds to the Mid Century Modern look.

To finish the card I added a sentiment and bow from Mid Century Modern Baubles and some Cranberry enamel dots. The Cranberry card bases ties in the reds and makes the wreath pop a little more.

When I had finished and photographed the card, I thought about how I should have used the smaller pair of leaves to stamp one of the shades of green. So I went ahead and made a second card.

This time I went for a more central wreath. Again I started with the larger pair of leaves, stamping them in Evergreen ink. I then used the smaller pair, stamping in Parsley and again in Sprout to create more depth and fill in the gaps.

As you can see I stamped a different sentiment outside of the wreath and balanced the design with the same bow on the upper diagonal. A trio of enamel dots finished the design, along with a Cranberry card base again.

Now I have made both I can't decide which I prefer 😂 I'd love to know your favourite.

Before I go, the giveaway, be sure to leave a comment by 31st July 2025 for your chance to win both these stamp sets I've used on this card If you are the lucky winner picked randomly from comments left across Uniko’s social media and already own the products, an alternative will be offered.

Winners will be announced first week of August 2025.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Fairy Lights

Good morning,

Following on from the lovely new release from Uniko at the end of Oct, one stamp really called out to me and that was Uniko Framed - Fairy Lights. I have used this stamp for my Brand Ambassador inspiration post this month and found that it teams very nicely with Uniko Mid Century Modern Baubles

Here I have heat embossed the fairy lights using red glitter embossing powder and coloured the lights in using a green alcohol marker and silver and gold gel pens. The bauble and sentiment are also heat embossed.

This card is similar to the last one but I have used green glitter embossing powder instead and also used the embossing powders for the bauble and sentiment.

Switching to gold embossing powder and colouring the background in meant I could leave the bauble white to let it stand out.

Finally I used the fairy lights stamp in a landscape setting and stamped using dye ink. I coloured the lights using alcohol markers and added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella brush pen.

I hope you loved the new Uniko release as much as I did. Look back on the Uniko blog to see lots and lots of brilliant inspiration from the Brand Ambassadors during the release introductions.

Much love

Merry Christmas & Uniko's Customer Top 10 of 2023 - Number 7

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you all a wonderful day and sending much love from me here at Uniko. I am here continuing with Uniko's Customer Top 10 of 2023. Today we have the 7th most purchased clear stamp set, Mid Century Modern Frames

Seems as though there is a bit of a theme appearing within the TOP 10! So my card today as it is Christmas Day has a festive spin...

Mid Century Modern Frames joined the Uniko Mid Century Modern line up in January this year and it fits in just nicely. You might wonder where the large star is from & that is from the most recent Mid Century Modern Baubles

If you know me, I like Uniko products to compliment each other and that's what I did here. Mid Century Modern Baubles was designed with Mid Century Modern Frames in mind. I chose the same font for the sentiments and I added the star in a larger version from this frame.

With all the chaos of Christmas, I kept my card simple today. I used gold pigment ink on Midnight card to stamp the large stars and simply stamped the frame and sentiment, fussy cut it out and adhered using foam adhesive after adding a little colour.

That's all from me today, I am now off to veg out before I fall asleep with a full belly and a happy heart. I wish you peace & love whatever your Christmas Day is for you.

Thank you for joining me and Merry Christmas from my home to yours.
