Thank You & A Happy New Year!

Hey!

I hope everyone had a FABulously Festive Season & Santa brought you all that you desire! I had a lovely few days with my hunny's family & ate rather a lot of yumminess!

Today my Brother, SIL & Nephew are travelling up North to spend New Year at our house & Karl's Mam & Dad will join us for meals & celebrations so it will be a full house!

Yesterday, I squeezed in a little inky time in-between a few chores and made this little Thank You card...

I enjoyed making my last OL Christmas card HERE & didn't make many so I decided to make a BRIGHT cheery Thank You version. Time is limited and I've a few of these to send out!

I also want to THANK YOU ALL for your support, custom & encouragement towards Uniko Studio & wish you all a lovely, happy & healthy NEW YEAR

See you all in 2013 for an even better year!

Designers Marketplace...

Hey!

Long time no post ... I know I've left you all hanging for days, sorry about that my mojo has gone walkabout plus preparing for Santa has taken much of my time and I have also been ill along with doing Designers Marketplace last Saturday.

Since I don't have any NEW projects to share I thought I'd share a few photos from my table at DM...

The first one is of me & my stall just after I had set up for the day. I had a little section to display Uniko Studio Clear Stamps and I had a little try before you buy section where customers could test the stamps out!

I had a few handmade items for sale too, all made using Uniko Studio clear stamps. Such as tags, gift wrap, handmade cards & more.

I also had the printed tote bags for sale...

It was a long but good day and hope to do a few more of these sorts of markets, in the New Year! I hope to post again before Christmas Day so I won't wish you all a happy one just yet!

Thanks for stopping by!

TIME is of the essence...

Hey!

I've scheduled this lil post to share this card with you...

I had fun with the CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch yesterday seen HERE and below that when I made my first card the idea for this card was already forming! This time I used the current Play Date Cafe colours seen HERE and below, again featuring blue!

I took the photo last night & apologise for the bad lighting :( I'm out of the studio today catching up with my Uni friends in York and have been looking forward to spending time discussing ideas, trends and all things design related amongst other things!

I'm sure I'll have things to share from my day. Have a FAB Friday & thanks for stopping by.

Blue Christmas...

Hey!

I've finally found a few minutes to pop by and share this card...

For my card I used the NEW CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below and I also used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

This was a fun sketch and I knew I wanted to use my doilies as snowflakes again! I did use a little snowflake stamp which is from Label Love: Christmas along with the doilies as it was the perfect size!  I love the colour blue and the current ColourQ colours made my day & are perfect for the flurry of snowflakes on my card!

I was disappointed today as there was no more snow falling here but I'm sure it won't be long before it's back! To cheer myself up I did a few more screen printed tote bags and as promised I took a couple of photos to share with you...

I screen print in the kitchen as I don't have access to water in the studio only outside in the garden and it's far too cold to be outside! We have quite a bit of worktop space & it's perfectly sized for printing small items like tote bags!

This is the Gerbra flower from Pure Florals: Gerbera enlarged to fit on an A3 screen and I selected a yummy turquoise colour to print with for this bag...

Below is the finished screen print...

The process is fairly quick but I clean my screen between prints which slows it down a bit as I have to wait for my screen to dry again before I can use it again. Having the heating on and putting them against the radiator speeds the drying time up a bit!

Some of the tote bags are just printed but others I have added Swarovski crystals, once this one is dry & ironed it will have some crystals added to the centre of the flower. Just adds that nice sparkley finishing touch!

Ok, that's all from me today. Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Magic!

Hey!

Sorry I'm a tad late with my post today, I've been screen printing some tote bags today for the up coming Christmas Designers Marketplace, that I have a stand at.

I enlarged the Gerbera flower from the Pure Florals set and another flower of a stamp set to be released in 2013 and put the images onto a silk screen. I experimented in my final year at Uni screen printing at home in the kitchen and it works well. I promise to share some photos in the coming days of my little production line & final products!

SNOW! I love snow & still find it magical so with the snow arriving today I made a set of these cards...

I used PTI's Damask snowflake dies and once die cut smothered it with glitter! The sentiment is from Uniko Studio Pure Florals: Poinsettia.

The current challenge over at CASology HERE  & seen below is perfect as the cue word is sparkle & there is plenty of sparkle on this card!

Ok, thats all from me today, I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share. Thanks for stopping by today.

Season's Greetings!

Hey!

I love many things about the Holiday season and one of them is catching up & getting in touch with friends that you don't see everyday. This week is one of those weeks where I have plans to meet up with friends nearly everyday. Today, I'm meeting up with a couple of good friends I used to work with at the hospital, I'm looking forward to a lovely chit chat & catch up.

So with seasonal greetings on the agenda how about this appropriate card...

I used the current Less is More challenge HERE of using Red & Green for my card, a lovely traditional colour scheme for holiday cards! I kept the colours & patterns to a minimum - it is 'Less is More' after all! I combined Uniko Studio Wonderful Washi, Wonderful Washi: Christmas & Label Love: Christmas on this card and I'm super pleased with how it's turned out.

That's all I have to share with you today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share. Until then thank you for stopping by.

A Wonderful Washi Christmas!

Hey!

Have your self a Wonderful Washi Christmas...

Today's card uses Uniko Studio's Wonderful Washi: Christmas and I created my own Washi tape using some 1" wide double sided tape and some Silver tissue paper. I made some of this in my demo on Saturday at The Paper Lane and it was SO much fun!

Making Your Own Washi Tape is simple, just stamp your Wonderful Washi ribbon onto one side of the tissue paper and let it dry for a few minutes. Apply 1" wide double sided tape to the reverse of the tissue paper where you stamped the design. It's easy to see as the tissue paper is so thin. Trim design out and apply to project! Voila! Your own Washi Tape!

On the snowflake Washi design I added some stickler but you could also emboss your Washi Ribbon and use sparkly embossing powders. The possibilities are endless & I'm sure you'll be seeing a few more home made Washi tapes on projects in the near future!

This card is perfect to share on the Young Crafters Unite! challenge blog HERE whose challenge is to create a card for the up coming holidays - not too hard!

Well, there's many more cards to be made so I had better crack on!

Thanks for stopping by.

Baubles & Buble...

Hey!

WOW! What a FABulous day I had yesterday at The Paper Lane in Northallerton doing the demo in the morning & teaching a class in the afternoon. It was SO busy and fun we forgot to take photos during the day. THANK YOU to everyone who came along to the shop for the demo & those who were in the class I had a lovely day & hope you all did too?!

I had some Wonderful Washi: Christmas fun during the demo making some super sparkly washi tape to add to your gift wrapping & I will share some samples of the tapes in the next few days.

Today it's all about Christmas baubles whilst listening to Michael Buble's Christmas Album, I have this simple card to share...

I was inspired by this card below that I pinned on Pinterest...

Instead of using a die cut behind the die cut circle I stamp Background Builders: Lattice onto green card stock using a contrasting green ink and added some Hero Arts Prisma Glitter!

This bauble card is perfect for the NEW Addicted to CAS challenge HERE and seen below which is baubles & the colour scheme is perfect for the current Less Is More challenge HERE which is to use Red & Green.

I enjoyed making this card so think I'll make a few more as many are still needed to make a dent in my Christmas card list!

That's all I have to share for today, thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Krafting

Hey!

Happy Weekend! Today is the Uniko Studio demo day at The Paper Lane - YAY! I'm also teaching a class after the demo and prepared a few projects for the class to make...

This first project consisting of the card above and tag & bottle tag gift card holder below was inspired by DT Member Kerry's release day project HERE.

I loved the elegance of Kerry's project the kraft mixed with black and the Poinsettia so created this little ensemble! Being a CAS girl and that the class has limited time I skipped the Copic shading that Kerry has incorporated on her project!

My next project for the class continues the Kraft CS theme...

Another yummy seasonal colour combination and my love of turning those Decorative Doilies into snowflakes!

There is one more project I put together for the class, but will save that for another day to share with you. I'll be taking along my camera to capture the happenings of the day which I'll share with you all :)

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by.

TIME to celebrate!

Hey!

Happy Friday, I'm celebrating an early weekend today & taking some TIME out of the studio but scheduled this appropriately themed card to share with you today...

I was inspired to pull out Uniko Studio's Time & Extra Time clear stamp sets by the current challenge over at CASology HERE, whose theme is time. It's nice to pull out sets that you haven't used for a while & show them love!

I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch sketch seen below & HERE for my layout but this time I changed the orientation of the sketch turning it clockwise and moved the panel over to the left.

I'm not one usually to change the orientation of a sketch, or even create a 'loose' interpretation of a sketch, but knew I wanted to shake things up and also I wanted to incorporated those 2 little banners from the NEW Uniko Studio Wonderful Washi: Christmas clear stamp set.

Again, I used the current Play Date Cafe challenge colours seen HERE and below for my card and I'm pleased with the balance.

That's all the 'time' I have to share with you today, but I will be back again tomorrow sharing a couple of the projects that my class at The Paper Lane will be making.

Thanks for stopping by.

Classic Christmas Colour Splash!

Hey!

So, today is my Friday as my weekend is starting a day early with my hunny having a day off work tomorrow - YAY! I'm sure I will still spend some time in the studio as I don't seem to want to leave these days & I have many more Christmas cards to make.

Here's one more I've made...

There's nothing like a good sketch & classic colour combo to get the creativity flowing. I used the NEW CAS(E) this Sketch sketch seen HERE and below and the NEW Play Date Cafe challenge colours seen HERE and below for my card.

I saw the stripes on the sketch panel & instantly thought of the NEW Label Love: Christmas striped label! The holes in the punched border were perfect too for adding a lil bit of bling, it wouldn't be a Christmas card without a bit of bling.

That's all from me today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share.
Thanks for stopping by.
