Happy 70th...

Hey!

Brrr.... it's a cold & wet morning here in the NE of the UK, but I am here with a card to warm you up...

Yep, I've been inking up 'I LOVE Coffee' again! This time it was to make a card for my Dad, who is 70 today... 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' Dad, hope you have a good one!

I was also inspired by & also to remind you of the current CAS Colours & Sketches sketch seen HERE and below. Which don't forget is a special 150th Challenge with sponsors including Uniko ;)

I did a bit of paper piecing on my coffee cup and personalised the label using the tiny alphabet from Garlands Galore

I kept the card super CAS and the colours neutral, which I like to do for masculine cards. I also stamped the inside of my card...

I'm linking up at Paper Issues again HERE for their Let Me Espresso My Gratitude challenge HERE. Be sure to check it out ;)

Short & sweet from me this morning, but I will be back this afternoon with more to share ;) Until then, thank you for stopping by.

Introducing... Nautical Treasures

Hey!

I'm super happy you have popped by the blog today & thank you for all your lovely comments and joining in on the fun yesterday :)

Today myself and the awesome DT are introducing the second of the two mini sets being released this month. All of the sets being released will be available HERE on May 11th at 9am GMT.

This is the little sneak peek of the set incase you missed it the other day...

Now this set has a little bit of 'history' behind it! I originally designed it way back when I was studying for my degree at Cleveland College of Art & Design. It was inspired by the Tall Ships that came to Hartlepool in the Summer of 2010.

I thought I would share my original drawing sheet from when I was working on the project...

Now I have waffled on for far too long reminiscing, I will share a few projects using this set. This first card is one of the 4 masculine boat themed cards that were in the class kit at The Paperlane on Saturday.

I used the current Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the basis of my card. I kept the colour and fuss minimal and I am pleased with the result.

My next card has a little more detail and is an original card design I created when I did my project. The original stamp designs were a little rough around the edges as at that time I was only just learning Adobe Illustrator, now I am a little more proficient with the design package (but by no means an expert), it brought a smile to my face the first time I stamped this boat!

Ok, that's all from me today, but how about some inspiration from the FABulous Design Team, I know they will leave you feeling inspired about this set!

It's been too long...

Hey!

It's been too long since my last post :( so I thought I'd pop in quickly with a card that I made for the last PC submission call which wasn't picked, I'll keep trying with my submissions. I'll hopefully make it one day!

I combined Time, Extra Time & Wonderful Washi to create this Best Wishes card, perfect for a man in your life! Talking of Extra Time, has anyone got any they could give me?! Time just seems to be flying by at the moment.

That's all from me today, thanks for stopping by.

To all the Dads ...

Happy Fathers Day!

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I'm back today to share a card I made using the current ColourQ #141 challenge colours. The photo below shows the colours & inspiration ...

Though the inspiration photo shows the green as the focus colour I kept it to a minimum on my card ...

I purposely only put 'Dad' on the tag so that the card can be used for other occasions other than Fathers Day. I really like the bold striped panel and will definitely use this LO again. As this card was so quick & simple I made another card using the same colour combo but with a little bit more green!

Again I have used the Time & Extra Time stamp sets on this card. I really must release some more masculine themed products!! Watch this space - no pun intended! Lol!

We're off out today to take my FIL to be out for Sunday dinner, it'll be the first Fathers Day in about 2 years that he is home & not away working. We went to the movies on Wednesday as a pre Fathers Day celebration to see Prometheus, it was a really good film.

I hope you all have a lovely day whatever you may be doing. Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Dad ...

Happy Wednesday!

I'm back today with another Man-tastic card to share! This time I used the current challenge over on CAS-ual Fridays. The challenge over there is CAS masculine cards using designer paper. A perfect challenge to whip up those needed Dad's day cards!

Here is my card ...

This card is VERY similar to the one I shared on Monday HERE. On Monday's card I used the punched out letters of 'dad', today I have used the negative. Again, I have used the NEW digital downloadable Classics patterned paper from Uniko Studio, available HERE

They work perfectly for masculine cards along with Patriotic cards! With the up coming celebrations of The Queens Diamond Jubilee they are half price on the website too! Hurry though as it's only for a limited TIME!

Well, I'm off to work in a shop called Folio. You can read a little bit about this HERE on my friend Lauren's blog! I will do a post about it in the coming weeks!

Anyway, must dash! Thanks for stopping by!

Man-tastic!

Hey!

Happy Monday! Hope everyones week has got off to a good start? The sunshine has certainly got mine off to a good start as well as a goal I achieved today - I've officially lost 2 stone and got my award today at Slimming World :) happy smiles all around, still got a bit to go to reach my overall target but I'm chuffed to bits!

Anyway, on to todays card ...

Fathers Day is fast approaching here in the UK, so I thought I'd better make a few! The inspiration for this card was from this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge photo & colours ...

The colours for this challenge were perfect for using the NEW Classics Digital Download papers from Uniko Studio available from the website HERE. There is a SALE on too over on the website for digital downloads & some of the clear stamp sets!

Thanks for stopping by today!
