WINNER and a card!

Hey!

Apologies for being SO late again announcing the lucky comment WINNER of the July Design Team Blog Hop HERE

The Summer days with my beans have been keeping me busy and tired with little creative mojo. I am pleased to report that the creative mojo is returning and I have been busy posting over HERE this week with a new Stamp Of The Week ;)

Anyway, without further ado, random.org has helped me select a lucky winner...

AND lucky comment no.15 is...

This is such a beautiful set, Beverly! I love your cards....old and new!

Congratulations Kimberly! Please send an email to bev@uniko.co.uk by Thursday August 11th 2016 along with your snail mail address and I will get your prize in the post to you!

How about a card before I go, I have had this one to share for some time now...

I made this shaker card for Daisy, one of the beans' little friends who turned 2 a few weekends ago. Daisy LOVES Peppa Pig, but unfortunately I didn't have any Peppa Pig or pig related stamps, so instead reached for my Sweet Baby clear stamp set and made a shaker card!

Even though the Sweet Baby clear stamp is is aimed at New Baby cards, the bear is so versatile and can be used for young children too. He is simply coloured with a few Copic markers and fussy cut out.

Ok, that's all from me today, but be sure to pop over HERE for more inspiration ;) Until the next time, thank you for stopping by.

Supplies
Uniko Clear Stamps:- Sweet Baby and Simply Said
Card Stock:- SU! Whisper White and PTI Vintage Cream
Ink:- Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:- SU! Sequins, PTI Limitless Layer Dies, Acetate, Foam Adhesive and Copic Markers

CAS Colours and Sketches #184

Hey!

This month over at CAS Colours & Sketches we have LOTS of fun challenges in store. As it is the summer months we are taking it in turns to be a hostess for the week. This week our hostess is the lovely Karen.

Karen has come up with this awesome sketch HERE and seen below for you to try...

Another FUN and easy sketch this week. Don't you think? I had a hard time deciding what stamps to use, but this is what I ended up using...

I decided to use Pure Florals: Cosmos with a sentiment from Simpy Said and paired the stamps and sketch with the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below.

The Cosmos flowers are stamped and heat embossed in white onto normal SU! Whisper White CS then lightly watercolored.

I adhered the flower cluster to the card using DST, but as the edges of them were not adhered, it creates a feeling of depth and movement with the petals.

Ok, that's all from me just now, I hope I have inspired you to give the sketch a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Supplies:
Ink: SU! Pretty In Pink, So Saffron and Calypso Coral VersaFine Onyx Black
Card Stock: SU! Whisper White. PTI Melon Berry
Accessories: Rhinestones. Detail White Embossing Powder

CAS Colours & Sketches #183

Hey!

It's a new month over at CAS Colours & Sketches with LOTS of fun challenges in store. As it is the summer months we are taking it in turns to be a hostess for the week. This week our hostess is the lovely Stef.

Stef has come up with this lovely colour combo HERE and seen below for you to try...

With the Summer finally arriving this week here in the UK, my thoughts have been tropical again, so this is how my card turned out...

I was quite pleased as I have two of the 3 colours this week, so I didn't have to colour match. All the supplies are listed at the end of the post.

My card is just simple stamping of the Hibiscus and tropical leaves on a panel of whisper white CS. After I had finished stamping I sliced the panel at an angle and adhered it to a Tip Top Taupe card base, leaving a space for a white embossed sentiment.

Ok, that's all from me for now, I hope I have inspired you to give these colours a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko Paradise and Paradise Leaves

CAS Colours & Sketches #182

Hey!

This month over at CAS Colours & Sketches we have LOTS of fun challenges in store. As it is the summer months we are taking it in turns to be a hostess for the week. This week our hostess is the lovely Jane.

Jane has come up with this awesome sketch HERE and seen below for you to try...

I had SO many ideas for this sketch, but limited time this week to make a card. This is how I ended up using the sketch...

I had some previously stamped and die cut elements on my desk left over from previous projects a couple of weeks ago, so I put them to good use on my card!

The flower blooms are from Uniko's Flower Power #2 and I have used the Rock N Roll inking technique to stamp them. The leaves are from Natures Treasures II and the sentiment from Simply Said. The doily is a Papertrey Ink die cut. As usual I have added a good covering of Wink Of Stella to my flowers and leaves ;)

I hope I have inspired you to give the sketch a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.

July 2016 Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

What better way to start the week than with the July 2016 Design Team Blog Hop. Along with the hop we have a GIVEAWAY! So be sure to grab a drink, get comfy, relax and enjoy.

As we've quite a few new followers here, ("Hello & Thank you") I will explain what's going on! Here at Uniko I *USUALLY* only release new products every other month. This is for a number of reasons, firstly, being an avid paper crafter myself and knowing the current economic climate I know 'some' are on a limited budget when it comes to buying new stash, so this way you're not tempted to splurge too much every month.

The second reason is that it is just me here at Uniko HQ. I currently run this little business single handedly, designing, blogging, demoing, classes, packing. Alongside that I am a full time mum to 22 month old twin boys. So releasing every other month gives me chance to keep my head above water, well...just about!

So, on the in-between release months the Design Team & I take a look back at a previously released product, dust it off and give it some love.

This month I decided upon the Paradise Hummingbird clear stamp set, probably due to the recent tropical June release!

Anyway, as usual I like to show a couple of older favourite creations using this set. More examples can be found HERE over on Pinterest.

How about a fresh new card using this set...

I was inspired by my recent CAS Colours & Sketches card layout seen HERE, so I decided to use it again for my card today. I fogot to leave the edge of base card showing down the right hand side though :(

I used my Hero Arts Ombré inks to stamp the flowers and the hummingbird, I have the 3 in my favourite coours! I also added Wink Of Stella to the hummingbird, because whenever I see a video (I've not been lucky enough to see one IRL yet) of a hummingbird they always seem to have a shimmer about them.

Ok, that's all from me but, it wouldn't be a blog hop without a GIVEAWAY right?

Simply comment along the hop to be in the chance of winning this featured set and an eGift Certificate for £5.  Or if you win and already own the set an eGift certificate for £10 will be awarded. You have until midnight Monday 18th July 2016 to comment and the winner will be announced on Tuesday 19th July 2016.
