Simply Cards & Papercraft Feature Plus FREE Digital Downloads.

Hello & Happy FriYAY 🎉

Earlier this week I was delighted to receive my copy of Simply Cards & Papercraft issue #244 in the mail. I am always excited to see Uniko in print and again I have designed a fabulous collection of FREE digital images for you all to use.

If you love Uniko's Paradise Collection as much as me, then I think you will enjoy this Tropical Bouquets digital collection too.

Here is a peek at the feature in the magazine and a full look at one of the cards I have made for the feature using the images.

The FREE Digital Collection can be downloaded by visiting CraftWorld HERE. I hope you enjoy using them and if you are on social media, please tag @unikoltd so I can see them or why not join Uniko's Facebook Group Uniko Ltd and share your makes in there.

And how about a little Giveaway.

I've an extra copy of the magazine to give to one lucky comment left on any of Uniko's posts across all social media, sharing the news about this collection. So if you follow Uniko on Instagram and Facebook as well as the blogs, you have even more chances to win!

Simply leave a comment before midnight Friday 19th May 2023 and I will randomly select a winner and announce Monday 22nd May 2023.

WILD Wednesday!

Hello!

It's been a wild Wednesday here in the studio and I am only just getting round to sharing some new WILD makes. This graphic I made inspired me to dust off the WILD clear stamp set, the Stencil - Zebra Print and some other wild products. So much so, I made a trio of cards to share with you.

First up is this super simple one layer card.

I've been wanting to practice softer inking and I thought today was the perfect opportunity to do so using the Stencil - Zebra Print. I rather like how this turned out. It isn't perfect and a little patchy in places, but I really like the effect. I used Distress Oxide Black Soot ink.

I then stamped the WILD sentiment & accompanying sentiments in black ink over the top. Super fun and any of the Uniko animal print stencils would work with this design.

This lead onto my second card today. With creating something with maybe a more masculine feel above, I wanted to make something a little more feminine and also wanted to dust off Paradise and Paradise Leaves clear stamp sets!

I feel like I have totally neglected these fun stamps, which is so easy to do when there are always new goodies coming out - haha!

Anyway. I started by stamping a bunch of leaves and hibiscus flowers using Concord & 9th inks. I then played about to get a little cluster of leaves with the flower with enough room to fit the WILD sentiment.

I think deciding on the layout and the accompanying sentiment which is from Festive Sentiments Outlined took the longest. Even longer than all the fussy cutting!

For my final card today I felt I couldn't leave Bob the Toucan out. After all he does look down on me at my desk!

This time I paired him up with the Large Background Tropical Paradise, which is partially stamped. I also used my stamping tool for this to ensure I could repeat stamp a couple of times to get good coverage.

I created a little sentiment perch for Bob, with the HAPPY sentiment, also from Festive Sentiments Outlined. This time I heat embossed the sentiment in white. I finished the design off with another Hibiscus flower and leaves from the Paradise clear stamp set.

That's all I have to share with you today, I hope you have enjoyed this WILD post and I don't think it'll be too long before you're seeing more of these products 😉

Thanks for stopping by.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration : Wild card(s)

Hi there!

Hannelie here today playing three wild cards!

I hope it will inspire you to make those more graphic masculine cards. They all follow the same recipe more or less :)

First card :

For this card I used the  Giraffe print stencil . I masked an area off with a rectangle die cut and applied a light layer of Antique Linen distress ink. I then placed the stencil over the masked area and applied the second layer of color - Vintage Photo distress ink.
After removing the mask and stencil, I stamped the sentiment, which was build up with three different stamp sets : Wild clear stamp set , Festive sentiments outlined clear stamp set and Simply said blocks.

Second card :

For this card I masked an area with a torn piece of scrap paper, and stamped the Large background tropical paradise stamp with Versafine black ink. After that I stamped the sentiment ''wild' and 'thing' from the Wild clear stamp set, colored the outline part with my moss green Promarker, and finally added the 'hello' from Simply said blocks, by popping it up with small foam dots.

Third card :

For the last card I used the Giraffe print stencil again, but in rainbow colors of distress ink. Before I started blending the ink through the stencil, I masked an area with a piece of torn scrap paper.
The 'you' were stamped with the Alphabet outlined stamp set and Versafine black ink, and completed the card with another word of the Simply said blocks, popped up with craft foam dots. I used a Rectangle pinpoint die from Memory Box to cut the panel a bit smaller before adhering it to the card base on a piece of craft foam for dimension.Three black rhinestones to complete the card.

Thanks for popping in today to take a look at the cards I made !

Wishing you a fabulously creative day.

Remember to stay 🏡 and stay safe !

DT Inspiration...Zoo Fun Cards for Kids

Hello,

Carol here. Welcome to my Uniko Studio DT showcase, where I bring out a few Uniko favourites for a play date.

Today's trio of cards was inspired by my brother's family's recent visit. I had a blast spending 24/7 with my niece and nephew for a few days...and part of our wonderful time together included a trip to the Calgary Zoo.

Zoo + kiddos = incentive to create cards *for* said kiddos! I'll include a few photos of the zoo/our place with the cards; hopefully, they'll know that Aunty c is WILD about them! As for Mr. Zebra...he'll be my card for my brother, whose birthday is coming up quickly.

I brought Doodlebug stickers into the scenes because a) they're adorable and b) they pair wonderfully with Uniko's animal prints/tropical line. Lots more of those in my collection, so you may see more of this combination down the road.

Hope these brought a smile!

Introducing... Large Background Tropical Paradise

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the July 2019 Release product introductions.

I've been waiting for this day for AGES and now this is the fun part where myself, my guest designer and the design team get to show you LOTS of inspiration! You get to see all the sneak peeks I've shared over the past two days in action on cards & projects over the next few days leading up to 26th, July, Release Day!

Today's product is one new clear stamp set you might recognise. I recently designed it as part of a digital stamp collection for Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine HERE. As soon as I had designed it, I knew I had to have it in physical stamp form! As much as I do like using digital stamps, there is nothing like a photopolymer stamp in your hands to ink up!

So here is another addition to the Large Backgrounds, Tropical Paradise. Let's have a quick look at the background in use...

Stamped in Catherine Pooler Grass Skirt ink, I have coloured the Tropical Paradise background with a variety of Copic Markers in shades of green. I have then trimmed the panel to fit my card base and added a Hibiscus flower from Paradise with the Aloha sentiment also from the Paradise clear stamp set.

It wouldn't be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with today's products, so be sure to hop along & see them...

WOW!

That was a phenomenal inspirational hop, so many creative ways to use the Large Background Tropical Paradise. It has so many possibilities and especially paired with the previously released Paradise and Paradise Leaves clear stamp sets.

I hope you enjoyed it and you will join us again tomorrow for another product introduction and LOTS more inspiration :)
