Uniko's Customer Top 10 of 2023 - Number 2

Happy New Years Eve Eve!

I'm back today this cold wet Saturday to share number 2 of Uniko's Customer Top 10 of 2023 most purchased products. It makes my heart happy to see the Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Blocks in the top 10. I was half expecting it to be number 1, but it was pipped at the post. You'll have to wait for tomorrow though to see which product topped it.

I'm biased, but this product is one of my faves and I enjoy creating with it. Here's what I made today...

I am inspired to incorporate peach into my colour schemes at the moment with it being Pantone colour of 2024. So today I paired Grapefruit with Aqua Sky and Pebble.

I masked off the top and bottom of my card panel, as well as the top and bottom squares of the stencils to have just the middle section. I then inked it to create a band across my card.

I then used the Thank You sentiment from Everyday Sentiments and then decided to add a flower from Mid Century Modern Florals.

Thanks for joining me again today.

Countdown to Christmas Day 15 - Time Hop Tuesday!

 Happy Tuesday!

Today I am deciding to go back in time and specifically I am Time Hopping to October 2017 and the Uniko Christmas release of that year! It was a small Christmas release that year, but it contained some firm favourites and what's not to love, reminiscing about Christmases past is a pastime I am sure.

This was the year Festive Sentiments was released, along with Background Blocks Wonky Stripes. Both of these are still fabulously on trend and this card, though long gone to a forever home is still a favourite make of mine.

This one card combined quite a few popular Uniko clear stamp sets, the flowers from Flower Power #1, the pine sprig from Winter Foliage & the green foliage stems from Organic Wishes.

As I usually have two cards on a Tuesday for you, I have another from this October 2017 Christmas Release to share with you.

This one again uses Festive Sentiments and Background Blocks Wonky Stripes. This time paired with the holly leaves and berries from Winter Foliage. I love this crisp colour scheme of white & black with the minimal Christmas red and green.

That's all from me today, I hope you have enjoyed this hop back in time with me?

If you were to hop back to a favourite Uniko product release, which would it be? Would it be a Christmas stamp set or an everyday / floral set? I'd LOVE to know.

Drop a comment below with your answer and I'll choose a random comment from across Social Media to win a prize :)

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by. Crafty Hugs Bev x

Countdown to Christmas Day 11 - Festive Flashback Friday!

 Happy Festive Friday!

Today I am taking a Flashback to Christmas 2018 and giving Background Builders: Christmas 2018 some fresh inky love. This stamp set has been a firm favourite this year and is unfortunately currently out of stock, but it will make an appearance in the shop again soon!

When it comes to Christmas stamps, I don't think anything really goes out of style and they can be used for many years, so always a good investment ;)

One of my favourites in this set is the string with interchangeable light bulbs, I think because my favourite thing to do is to add coloured Nuvo Drops to really make them look like fairy lights!

This colour card really does add cheer and even better when it is a one layer card too for easy mailing! It didn't take too long to make either. The longest part is letting the Nuvo Drops dry. The sentiment is from Festive Sentiments Outlined and coloured with a red Copic marker.

I seemed to be on a roll and came up with another one layer design for my next card! This time I used the row of Christmas trees and stamped them three times and colouring them in an ombre effect with Copic Markers.

I then added some sparkly glitter to the tree with a quickie glue pen! The sentiment is from Festive Sentiments Outlined and I have coloured it with a black fine liner.

Lastly for today I wanted to use the Scandinavian inspired Christmas folk snowflake design and I switched up the colours to a favourite Kraft, red & white combo.

This was another super quick card to make with minimal fuss. I used Altenew Ruby Red ink for the snowflake design & added a tiny drop of white Nuvo Drops to the centres. The sentiment is again from Festive Sentiments Outlined and coloured with a Kraft colour Copic marker.

That's all my creative makes today, I hope I have given you some useful last minute CAS designs if you're like me and still have a few last minute cards to make!

Myself and some of my awesome Brand Ambassadors will be back tomorrow as we kick off the Uniko 2020 Christmas Party!

Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Countdown to Christmas Day 6 - Stencil Sunday!

 Happy Sunday!

Welcome to day 6 of the Uniko Countdown to Christmas. Stencil Sunday is long overdue and so what better way to get back into the regular feature than with a Festive Stencil Sunday? Today I am giving some fresh inky love to the Stencil - In The Forest and also the NEW Stencil - Christmas Pop Trio.

Surprisingly, as I have not been a huge lover of the colour green in the past, I am absolutely loving this green & white combo this year and incorporating this fun bitty polka dot ribbon!

When it comes to using stencils I keep things pretty simple! For this first card I inked through the In The Forest stencil with Altenew Hunter Green ink, I wanted it to be a slightly light shade than the ribbon for a little bit of contrast.

Before I removed the stencil I then used my VersaMark ink pad to ink over the top of the green ink so that I could then emboss the trees with sparkly Stardust Embossing powder.

The sentiment is from the NEW Christmas Wishes clear stamp set, which I have popped up with some 1mm thick foam adhesive. The bow makes this card a little bulkier, so I think it will be a hand delivered card ;)

This lead me onto my second card for today combining In The Forest with the striped Christmas tree from the NEW Stencil - Christmas Pop Trio

This time I masked off a section to ink the background of In The Forest trees and I decided not to add the embossing to them this time. Instead I added the sparkle of the Stardust embossing powder to the striped Christmas Pop Trio tree.

I added ribbon down the edge of the stencilling to hide the 'join' and the sparkly Christmas Pop Trio tree is adhered using 1mm thick foam adhesive. The sentiment is another from the NEW Christmas Wishes clear stamp set.

I really enjoyed making these two cards today and the layout are nice and simple to adapt to other themes of cards, not just Christmas cards!

That's all from me today, I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend & I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today and joining in on the fun here at Uniko.

Countdown to Christmas Day 3 - Christmas Wishes

 Happy Thursday!

Welcome to Day 3 of Uniko's Countdown to Christmas!

Today I am sharing some Christmas Wishes, with a little Throwback Thursday spin for good measure...

I love a good sentiment and I love a good font, mix them together and you have another sentiment stamp set to add to the collection! I think sentiment stamp sets are one thing you can't have too many of, that's probably why I keep designing them ;)

Anyway, this first card layout is a throwback favourite to when Background Builders: Christmas first came out in 2013! You can check the original card by Amy Wanford (Aimes) out HERE.

As you can see I have used the same holly stamp & style of ribbon but paired them with the 'Season's Greetings' sentiment from the NEW Christmas Wishes clear stamp set. This is definitely a last minute 'go to' design when I know I'll need more Christmas cards!

This lead me onto my second card for today...

Another throwback layout to 2013, with THIS card I made. I think I have used this card for other occasions too?! It's a lovely CAS layout for using background building stamps.

A super CAS design, fairly easily mass produceable and mailing friendly too. I opted to not add glitter to the outline holly leaves on this occasion, but it would be a lovely sparkly embellishment idea for next time!

That's all my Christmas Wishes for today, I hope I have given you some creative Christmas sentiment inspiration. This stamp set has been super popular this release (thank you), there are less than a handful left on the website, so be quick if it's on your Christmas Wishes list!

Tomorrow is our Uniko Challenge #62 Reminder, I will be combining the Countdown to Christmas post with my challenge reminder card on the blog tomorrow.

OH, and before I go... Did you see yesterdays post, WIN IT WEDNESDAY?! You might just want to check it out HERE.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today!
