Featured in Cards & Crafts for Christmas

Hey!

Happy Weekend & HAPPY long Bank Holiday weekend to all in the UK, you've got to love an extra day to the weekend!

Today I am back to share a little more about the Uniko feature in Cards & Crafts for Christmas, which I shared on social media on Friday.

I am always truly honoured to be approached by editors to design digital stamps and have my cards featured. I also love sharing things for free, which brings me on to the feature in Cards & Crafts for Christmas....

I also LOVE snowflakes, glitter and sparkle, so when I received the brief my heart skipped a beat and these are the snowflake digital stamps I came up with and a snippet of the feature from the magazine...

The digital stamps can be downloaded from www.simplycardsmag.com and the digital stamps in the magazine can be found HERE, you will need to register to be able to download them.

I'd LOVE to see if you use these freebies or any of the free digital stamps I have designed in the past. I have links to some of them HERE

So if you have made something and blogged about it, email me a link to bev@uniko.co.uk OR if you have posted it on social media, such as Instagram or Facebook, be sure to tag @unikoltd or  use the #unikoltd or #unikostamps and I will be able to find them.

That's all from me today, but I will be back again soon with more to share! Until then, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the freebies ;)

DT Inspiration - Silver, Teal & Gerbera Combo

Hi friends, it's SarahP here sharing a little Sunday Design Team inspiration using one of my favourite all-time Uniko sets! The Pure Florals Gerbera stamps and dies, has to be a regular 'go to' set for me.

Today I was in the mood for Teal colours and I've two 'almost' ONE layer clean and simple cards to show, teamed with two layered/embellishment heavy examples. All four cards using the same supplies and colours ... so here goes

These first 2 use both the Gerbera stamps and die set in both outline and block stamp versions. I've gone with the same design for both; the first one a textured panel of teal cardstock and the second one showcasing one of the newly released stencils from Uniko: Wonky Stripes. The silver accents are created using WOW Silver Sparkle embossing powder with the 'Happy' sentiment from the Festive Sentiments collection and the 'Birthday' from simply said.

Next up my 'clean and simple' variations with the same colour combos but using the stamps only with a little masking along the way. I stamped the corner flower heads first, rotating my cardstock in the Misti before masking and stamping the middle ones. The sentiments are heat embossed with the same WOW embossing powder and a little shimmer pen to the flower centres. The 'Thank You so Much' sentiment is from the recently released freebie set and the 'Congratulations' on the second card from All Occasion Sentiments #1

I hope you enjoyed these teal creations and feel inspired to craft the day away!

Thanks for calling by

Doodle Flower Mix!

Hey & Happy Friday!

Today I've a new post over on the website blog HERE. I have made a card combining both the Doodle Flower Stencil released in December and Background Blocks: Doodle Flower. Here is a peek at my card...

I've also used a sentiment from the December Release Freebie. There are still a few of these freebie stamps left to add to purchases of £20 or more (before postage and after any discounts have been applied).

Be sure to head on over HERE to the website blog for all the details on how I made the card and for more photos of it!

DT inspiration, combining digi with stamps

Hello everyone, Rahmat here. It is March, and Spring is just around the corner, and I am up with a spring themed card using a Uniko digi.
Bev had offered this digi on Simply Cards & Paper crafts, in this post. You will find the link to download the digi in the post. Kindly click here to get the digi.

I used the framed daffodil digi here, printed it off, and water colored using zig clean color markers. Just the usual card stock used for printing, I didn't use a water color paper today.
To my surprise the water coloring came out really good.
After coloring I masked the digi, and used a bubble stencil to blend the inks, I have used Hero Arts Neon ink, and twisted citron distress ink for this.

Added a twine, and the sentiment is from Originally Organics additions, which was released recently.  I added the panel to a white base, just wanted to keep it really clean, with the focus on the front panel.  As usual finished off with tiny  gold rhine stones. By now you guys should know I go for the jewels more than the sequins to add finishing touches!

Once the whole card was done, I reached for the glossy accents to add some dimension to the daffodil, it looks really awesome! I will add a small video on Instagram @rahmat.ccc to show the glossy accents on the flowers, as it was hard for me to capture in the picture. It is a happy spring card, on the contrast to what my view and weather is though ;)

I hope you give the digi a go, and show us what you create. If you are sharing on Social media remember to tag us, using the hashtags - #unikoltd, #uniko,  #unikostudio ...... if you tag us we will surely drop by to see what you created!

Supplies used:

Uniko free digi - Spring blooms daffodil
Zig clean color real brush markers - yellow, orange and green
Inks : hero Arts Neon Sunshine , Distress ink - twisted citron, rangers archival black
Stencil - ARTplorations Bubble
White card stock
Green twine
Rhine stones - gold
Glossy Accents

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback :) Have a great day!

Super FREE Saturday Returns!

* This is my 2nd post this morning, if you missed the February 2017 Release Sneak Peeks click HERE*

Hey!

Yep, those of you who have been following Uniko for a while may remember a feature I had a few years ago called Super FREE Saturday. It was a featured I did roughly every month, where I  designed a little digital freebie for you all to use. Some were pre coloured, ready to print and cut others were outline images for you to colour.

Anyway, I thought I would reintroduce the feature and again it will be every other month in between releases. I know it IS release month this month, but we're celebrating so I couldn't resist having an 'extra' freebie for you all to use ;)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/scpjhn5lwly4s9o/SFS%20Feb%202017.zip?dl=0

This is a is a beautiful design especially for those who like to colour! It is called 'happy roses' and is a compilation design from a number of Uniko clear stamp sets, Flower Power #6 and Originally Organic. They pair up beautifully ;)

I've created a couple of samples to inspire you and show you how they can be used...

This first card both the floral design and sentiment are printed onto white card stock and I have simply coloured the design with Copic Markers. I used a total of 5 markers and just did simple flat colouring.

My next card is again a one layer card. This time I printed the floral design onto Kraft card stock and coloured it in using Prismacolour pencils.

I opted for two shades of yellow, so that the roses would really 'pop' against the Kraft card stock. The sentiment is stamped and is also a little sneak at a sentiment from a set we will be introducing on Tuesday ;)

Sarah G here crashing the Uniko blog....I love the colouring that Bev has done on this gorgeous image.  I have focused on the digi as an outline image by foiling in gold and hot pink:

Foiling is really hard to pick up in a decent photo but I hope you can see it!  I have more over at my blog....back over to Bev :)

Deborah here to crash the party too! Well, why not? I made a card using these pretty flowers too. Details on my blog:

I'd LOVE to see what you create using this digital stamp! Tag @unikoltd on Facebook and Instagram.

Or why not create a card and link up to our current Anything Goes Challenge with Optional Twist Love HERE or we have our 5th Birthday Linky Party HERE. There are FAB prizes to be won on both these posts ;)

Ok, that is all from me today but I will be back tomorrow with more Sneak Peeks to share and MORE!!

Simply Cards & Papercrafts!

Hey!

Sorry I have been MIA over the past few days, though it seems like weeks as time is just not slowing down. I've been hit by the bugs again this past weekend, I think it's been a combination of playgroups with the beans and working all the hours once they are in bed!

March already, how did that happen?! Though it's good as it means Spring here in the UK is only a couple of weeks away - YAY!

You may have seen this photo that I shared around social media towards the end of last week...

I was asked by the lovely Aimes (Editor & Chief of Simply Cards & Papercrafts) if I would design a set of free digital stamps and create some projects. How could I refuse that offer?!

I thought I would share a closer look at the feature in the magazine for those who are unable to purchase the magazine. Also because I have yet to find my creative energy this week :( I'm sure I will at some point as I have some DT stuff to catch up on ;)

Anyway, here is the feature...

You might recognise the bunny from the recently released Some Bunny clear stamp set. I had some more fun posing him in a birthday box and with some birthday balloons ;)

To download your freebie stamps be sure to visit www.papercraftmagazines.com I'd love to see what you create using them :)

Ok, that's all from me tonight, I think another early night is called for if I am going to shift this bug and annoying cough. I'll be back later this week with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Hey!

Eeeeeeek! I am SO happy you have stopped by today or maybe you arrived via the secret door, either way I warmly greet you :)

A few weeks a go my dear friend and former Uniko DT Member Taheerah mentioned a wonderful festive idea for the stamping / paper crafting community to take part in & be a part of during the countdown to Christmas.

Well, I couldn't say no to such a wonderful idea & so Uniko is super honoured to be a sponsor for this wonderful event.

Join in the fun every day at taheerah-atchia.com to see what special surprises wait behind the door!

A card maker at heart I would normally have a card to share with you, but today I have a little gift box I made a while back during the Uniko November Release...

I had recently purchased the SU! Square Pillow Box die set and immediately put it into use, not like a lot of my NBUS items that sit waiting for love ;) On the box before assembling I have stamped a trio of snowflakes in opposing corners using the snowflake duo from the Uniko November Release Mini Freebie set. They are stamped in VersaMark Dazzle ink which has a subtle sparkle to it. I also added a trio of gold snowflakes to the vellum window which are heat embossed in Crystal EP.

The sentiment is also from the freebie set which is stamped in gold onto a Pretty Pink Posh Mini Tag die cut & embossed with Crystal EP. A few rhinestones, ribbon and gold thread finished it off perfectly, all set for a little gift to be popped inside :)

That's all from me today, but be sure to join in on the fun as it’s not a party without a prize - and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by Uniko so you’ll definitely want to get your hands on it! Simply leave a comment on this post to enter - then head back to taheerah-atchia.com and leave a comment there too to double your chances!

Don’t forget to grab the other surprise destinations from Taheerah’s blog and head over to them to leave comments there as well to improve your odds even more! You have until 7am EST on Thursday 31st December to leave all your comments!

Don’t forget the Advent Calendar Extravaganza runs from 1st-25th December inclusive so make sure you visit taheerah-atchia.com every day for fabulous inspiration and amazing prizes every single time!
