I was inspired by this card I made back in November 2013...

Here I used our popular Background Builders: Round In Circles to create hanging baubles. You can read more about this card HERE. 

I was challenged to used Mid Century Modern Florals to create a Christmas card and here are two I came up with in my winging it video. You can watch me create them on todays bonus video HERE.

12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 12

 

 

           Hello & Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 12

Join me over HERE on the Uniko YouTube Channel for the final day of this festive series. This week I am giving fresh inky love to a popular favourite, Pattern Building Christmas Tree.

This is one of those stamp sets which doesn't look very inspirational as a set in its packaging. But once you see it in action, it all makes sense! 

Although I have used it just for festive cards today, it's also a set that is versatile for lots of occasions with the variety of patterns it contains.

I've shared a similar card before, but the Christmas Folk Snowflake strip makes a great frame for a shaker card...

I accented the frame with holly leaves and berries from Winter Foliage and a sentiment from Christmas Wishes.

This week I have aligned myself with the weather here in the North East of the UK with two snow inspired cards. We had a dusting of snow yesterday and more overnight to satisfy a snow loving girl for a bit! I dusted off my Stunning Snowflakes and Stencil - Let it Snow for my cards today, which I had actually planned on using anyway! 

For this first card I used the Stencil - Let it Snow as the main focus, using texture paste through it and adding colour.

Join me in this weeks video as I talk about texture paste, its uses and how I added the colour. I used Concord & 9th Aqua Sky, Oceanside & Peacock, such a lovely turquoise collection. Perfect for snowflakes. My sentiment and accent snowflakes are from Stunning Snowflakes.

This led me to create this next card during the video.

This card is totally inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below. I often turn to challenges for a creative spark when I am needing that little extra creative mojo. 

The layout this week was calling snowflakes to me! So I used Stunning Snowflakes and the same colours to create this card. I used the same sentiment treatment and show in the video how I created the detailed edge.

This week I am using Mid Century Modern Baubles and along with this card, I am also sharing another fun and creative way to use your stamps. You'll have to watch the video to see what it is!

I've gone for bold colours this week, red, white and navy blue with a touch of gold embossing. I talk about this set a little more and my ideas behind adding the elements it contains.

This week I am using Mid Century Modern Christmas. I have two cards to share in my post below and I will be making my 3rd during todays video. 

For my first card today I was totally inspired by this weeks challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches seen HERE and below. 

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew the triangle tree from Mid Century Modern Christmas would work perfectly. I wasn't sold on the colours, but I think I made them work.

The bow and Christmas part of the sentiment are from Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder and the wishes is from Birthday Sentiments.

My second card today I was inspired to pair Mid Century Modern Christmas with the Stencil - Layering Bauhaus Blocks. Yes, I am still enjoying this stencil & the creative possibilities.

This took a little bit of masking to use just 3 of the blocks from the stencil, but I think the masking was worth it for the results. I will explain what I did in todays video.

In todays video I am giving fresh creative love to one of Uniko's unique concept stencils, Ink & Flip Christmas Star.

I've been wanting to create a shaker card using the star for a while, but being out of acetate for the standard shaker window card, it pushed me to try the full shaker cards using old thin acetate packaging.

I love how easy it was to create the shaker, a lot less time consuming with the foam tape on traditional shaker cards taking the most time!

In todays video I am giving fresh creative love to one of my favourite Christmas / Winter themed collections, Winter Foliage. This collection includes Winter Foliage Clear Stamps, Winter Foliage Designer Dies and the Stencil - Winter Foliage. I've combined all three on my cards.

I dusted off a few supplies that mostly only come out at Christmas, ribbon and sparkly gold stencil pastes! Making a second card I changed how I made my card a little second time round to make it a little more sleek and how I intended.
