Here is my take on the theme...

If you stop by here often you will know that I LOVE butterflies, so it may not really be a surprise to you that I had to go with the optional twist! I started out by drawing a circle with a pencil and adding LOTS of rhinestones to create a circle of sparkle. I have a ton of this colour and size of rhinestone in my stash left over from a Wedding Invitation commission I did a few years ago.

The butterflies are from English Country Garden - Butterflies and the sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday.

A CASual Thank you

I'm back today with another card I made on Monday night in my little crafting session. This time a colourful and super CAS thank you card...

Again a combination of my current 'go to' Flower Power along with a few 'lil flowers from Background Builders: Vines!

Today I am mostly preparing as much as I can for the up coming August Release here at Uniko Studio, so lots of creativity and relaxing in the studio :)

A Bright English Butterfly!

Hey!

Last night I enjoyed an hour of crafting in the studio and was please with how productive I was in such a short time. I had stamped & coloured the butterfly on today's card a while back and it was just sat waiting to be used and this is how...

The layout of my card is a sketch from CAS - Colours and Sketches seen HERE and below. I decided to use the sketch for a standard C6 size card rather than a square card, as I tend to make only mini square cards.

To colour the butterfly I used my good 'ol PrismaColour Pencils and gamsol to blend the colouring. I added a little shimmer over the top using a clear At You Spica pen. I really NEED to invest and purchase a Wink of Stella pen!! 

I was at the hospital this morning for another scan and I am pleased to report that all is well with the 'lil beans. Both still growing well, one 6oz bigger than the other but they are still both really good weights for twins. The biggest weighed in at 3 pound 14 ounces! Hopefully only one more scan in 2 weeks and then at that scan I will be scheduled to come in and be induced. 

I am SO glad all is well but the 3 hours is a killer especially after a sleepless night. The beans were just kicking and carrying on ALL night! Preparing me no doubt for the not to distant future! I was hoping for a nice little nap this afternoon, but they are still at it in there!! Hopefully they will tire by bed time!

Fusion & French Cupcake Inspiration!

Hey & Happy Monday!

Apologies for my tardiness today in posting, I didn't make it into the studio to create yesterday & today I have spent most of the day catching up with my college friends, chatting & having lunch in the sunshine - Oh and ice cream! 

I'm here in the studio this evening enjoying the slightly cooler temperature and getting my craft on whilst the hubby is out playing football! I decided to have a little play along with the current Fusion Card Challenge seen HERE and below my card for some inspiration and this is what I came up with...

Not a cupcake in sight, instead a little cluster of my current 'go to' flowers! I did use the inspiration photo, but for the colours it features. I also rotated the sketch counter clockwise.

Such a lovely soft colour palette and featuring aqua a favourite colour of mine :) Below is a little close up of the floral detail...

Short & sweet from me today, I want to make another card tonight to share with you tomorrow afternoon, as I am back the hospital tomorrow morning for another scan & check up on the not so 'lil beans!!

Hey, Flower!

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, I'm enjoying the time with my husband even if it is supervising and assisting him in various jobs round the house and garden! It makes a change for the weather to be nice at the weekend too :) 

Anyway, on Friday I had a super fun inky session in the studio and made quite a few cards, this is another of them...

I had a flower stamped using the baby wipe technique sat on my desk waiting to be used on a project, so that was my starting point. I then stamped the matching outline flower onto the raspberry card base & flower centres using VersaMark Dazzle Frost ink. The sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 stamped onto a square of CS and then I used the multicoloured flower and matching flowers from Background Builders: Vines to frame the corner of the sentiment.

Feeling Square!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

I was quite productive yesterday in the studio and made a few cards to share here on the blog over the next few days. I knew I wouldn't make it into the studio to create today as weekends seem to be 'get jobs done' time! I mainly supervise & assist as I can't do much else, but I like to be involved! 

Anyway, this was one of the cards I made...

I saw the current challenge over at The Card Concept HERE and below and as it used one of my favourite colours - aqua, I had to join in! 

It's quite hard to see the lime colour in the photo of my card, but I promise it is there! It's been another gorgeous day here in the NE of England and considering I don't get direct sunlight in the studio it's made my photo super light!

It's been a while since I used Background Builders: Squared, so I gave it some inky love & paired it with my favourite sentiment combo, All Occasion Sentiments #2 and A Gift For You! I also added a little bit of sparkle to alternate squares that were stamped in aqua.

As my card is super CAS, I thought I'd enter it into the new challenge over at "Less is More" HERE this week, which is 'Anything Goes'.

Another HAPPY Card!

Hey!

Yesterday I was super inspired by the gorgeous weather and created another HAPPY card in HAPPY colours...

I started out with the new CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below. I had recently purchased the new Costal Cabana thick twine from the new SU! catalogue and it was sitting on my desk. That started the colour theme & it came together really nicely.

I used my current favourite Flower Power #5 and paired it with a couple of leaves from Natures Treasures I and a mixed sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 and A Gift For You. I decided to mount the panel onto a Daffodil Delight card base for that extra 'pop' of colour. A little sprinkling of glitter to the flower centres & I was done! 

Today I am in the studio creating lots of cards using the soon to be August Release! Not long to wait now and I'm loving them, even if I do say so myself!

Ahhh, the sun is out once again & what a gorgeous day, it makes such a difference and it has certainly got my creativity flowing :)

I made this card this afternoon combining the inspiration photo over at TIME OUT Challenges HERE and below and the new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches HERE and seen below.

Once again I was inspired by the aqua stripes on the wall and this time the chevrons on one of the cushions and the floral damask pattern on another, which I substituted for a Beautiful Bloom & leaf! 

My back is much better today and I'm feeling good :) Hubby & I are off out to the movies this evening to watch Hercules. Anyway, I had best get on, I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share. So until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Happy Flowers

Today started off overcast but the sun came out this afternoon, so that was a nice, especially when we still had the heat but initially no sun! I haven't been feeling overly creative today, mainly because of a little back pain, which thankfully after a relaxation session & a nap has subsided.

I still have a card to share with you all, one which was made for the last class at The Paperlane...

Again it uses the baby wipe technique, I just LOVE the colours and result that this technique produces.

Celebrate Today!

Well, it's another glorious day here in the NE of England and little Prince George is celebrating his 1st Birthday - too cute! To mark the occasion & all things Summer, Uniko Studio has a SUMMER SALE on HERE. Be sure to pop by & grab yourself a bargain! 

With all the celebrating it translated onto todays card...

I started out by stamping the word 'celebrate' using the Classic Alphabet stamp set. I began with the letter B in the middle and worked my way out to the edges spelling the word. I then used a mixture of Flower Power #5, Background Builders: Vines and Natures Treasures I to stamp the flowers & leaves.

This card fits perfectly into the current challenge over at Addicted to CAS HERE. I had better get myself going as we're off out for dinner and a trip to Ikea for the last couple of things for the nursery!

Clean & Simple

Hey & Happy Monday!

I do hope your week has got off to a lovely start. Its been a beautiful day here in the NE of England and it's helped me feel energised to tick a few more jobs off the list! 

I've took a little crafty break & come back into the studio to create this clean & simple card...

I needed a little mojo boost so used a couple of challenges to spark the creativity. The first challenge is the current Crazy for CAS sketch seen HERE and below. 

I was inspired to dust off a few sets that hadn't seen daylight for a while on my card, Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time and Background Builders: Lattice and paired them with a sentiment from A Gift For You.

As I kept it Clean & Simple it fits perfectly into the soon to be ending Addicted to Stamps & More! challenge HERE. I added a few SU! sequins for a little sparkle to finish it off :) 

I've been busy in the studio today preparing for the August Release & to make room & also to celebrate little Prince George's 1st Birthday there is a Summer Sale over on the website HERE. Why not grab yourself a bargain or treat yourself to a set on or wish list?!

For my card I used English Country Garden - Butterflies as when I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout HERE and below it was the perfect for the trio of butterflies!

I also used the ColourQ challenge colours again seen HERE and above. I selectively coloured & glittered part of the large butterfly to add a little more interest.
