Last night I enjoyed an hour of crafting in the studio and was please with how productive I was in such a short time. I had stamped & coloured the butterfly on today's card a while back and it was just sat waiting to be used and this is how...
The layout of my card is a sketch from CAS - Colours and Sketches seen HERE and below. I decided to use the sketch for a standard C6 size card rather than a square card, as I tend to make only mini square cards.
To colour the butterfly I used my good 'ol PrismaColour Pencils and gamsol to blend the colouring. I added a little shimmer over the top using a clear At You Spica pen. I really NEED to invest and purchase a Wink of Stella pen!!
I was at the hospital this morning for another scan and I am pleased to report that all is well with the 'lil beans. Both still growing well, one 6oz bigger than the other but they are still both really good weights for twins. The biggest weighed in at 3 pound 14 ounces! Hopefully only one more scan in 2 weeks and then at that scan I will be scheduled to come in and be induced.
I am SO glad all is well but the 3 hours is a killer especially after a sleepless night. The beans were just kicking and carrying on ALL night! Preparing me no doubt for the not to distant future! I was hoping for a nice little nap this afternoon, but they are still at it in there!! Hopefully they will tire by bed time!
Ok, that's all from me today, I'm just chilling out on the sofa watching the Commonwealth Games :) I'll be back tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today.

ReplyDeleteThis is so striking and stunning, Bev ... such amazing colouring! Great news about the beans ... if they're using all that energy now, p'raps they won't have as much left to keep you occupied when they arrive!! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card - love the stained glass coloring of the butterfly! Thanks for playing along with us at CAS Colours & Sketches!
ReplyDeleteStunning card, Bev! The layout you chose works really well with this and your colored in butterfly looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the colours on the butterfly and again a so great CAS-design! Glad that the scan went well. They have less room, so you will feel them with every move... Hope you have enough calmth to take the rests you need... Hugs, Gerrina
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful, Bev, especially the array of stunning colours you've selected for this 'stain-glass' butterfly. Swooning...I finally invested in a set of Prismacolour pencils, but can't find gamsol anywhere in my small mountain town. Perhaps I'll fare better in the big city, however, not sure when I'll be heading that way next. Whatever the case, the search is on! Great news on the beans; the wigglings and squirmings are signs of abundant, healthy energy! Toooo cool...
