Happy Christmas in July!

Hello & Happy July.

I'm sorry, not sorry! It's that time of year again for Christmas in July. This month there will be lots of festive inspiration, a few giveaways through the month and a NEW release.

Today I am kicking things off with a quick clean & simple idea to get more use out of your alphabet stamps, I used Alphabet Solid.

I started with a Poppy card panel measuring 9.5 x 13cm and I stamped the word CHRISTMAS in Cranberry ink on the left side. To be able to space evenly I started with the IST in the middle.

I then stamped and heat embossed the merry from Festive Sentiments in white embossing powder to compliment the solidness of the Christmas.

To finish the card I adhered the panel to a white card base. This card is perfect for easy mailing, always a bonus at Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by today & Crafty Hugs

Mid Century Monday - Custom Age Birthday

Hello!

I'm starting the week off with a Mid Century Modern card, which is also a custom age birthday card. Last week I shared a quick, fun, clean & simple Christmas card idea on YouTube HERE and seen below.

I used Alphabet Solid to create my own custom sentiment. I love being able to do this for all kinds of occasions.

For this Christmas card I accented the HO HO HO with the holly and berries from Winter Foliage and sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

This got my creative juices flowing and I was in need of a custom age card for my dad, who's birthday it is today. And this is what I came up with...

I was excited that lots of Uniko Stencil restocks arrived in the studio at the end of last week, including the MOD Circle Builder

This is such a fun stencil and is also perfect for masculine cards. I inked through 3 times on various angles with Blueberry and Oceanside ink.

I stamped the EIGHTH using Alphabet Solid, fussy cut the letters and adhered using foam tape. I accented this with the happy from Happy Succulents and birthday from Birthday Sentiments, before adhering the panel to an Oceanside card base.

I'd love to know if you use Alphabet stamps for custom sentiments and age cards.

That's all from me today. I will be back later in the week with more to share.

Celebrating 13 Years - Introducing Alphabet Solid and Background Blocks Waves

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Welcome to day 3 of the Uniko 13th Birthday February Release introductions. Today myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are Introducing Alphabet Solid and Background Blocks Waves.

I originally intended to release Alphabet Solid the same time as the previously released Alphabet Outlined back in February 2020, but I changed my mind last minute and shelved it. I decided now was the time for it to be released.

And well, you know me I love a Background Block and a stripy one at that, so a wave design it had to be!

Let's have a look at these two products in action.

I love seeing the creative ways alphabet stamps are used, they are such a great staple to have on hand for personalised cards. And I'm excited to see even more creative pairings with the Background Blocks Waves. The Brand Ambassadors showcased it wonderfully.

Until tomorrow, Crafty Hugs

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's a late one for me in the studio tonight as I finally get round to sharing one of the cards I created today.

Since coming back from the show I have been inspired to dust off some older clear stamp sets and products and breathe some new inky life into them. I love new products, but I know from speaking to crafters at the shows these past weekends and for myself, it is easy to get caught up in the constant flow of using and buying new and neglecting older stuff we once loved.

One of the collections I have neglected is the Flower Power clear stamps. So with it being May and as the saying goes, 'April Showers Bring May Flowers'. I thought I would start with these sets.

Today I started with Flower Power #8, the newest of the collection to create this fun and colourful card.

I started by stamping a cascade of the line flower in black ink across the diagonal of my card panel. I then used a trio of Stampin' Up! Blends in each of the colours to colour the flowers. I also coloured and fussy cut 3 flowers to add after I had decided upon the sentiment.

For my sentiment choice I finally decided upon Alphabet Outlined, of which I created the HAPPY. I stamped each of the letters in black and then coloured them with a fine liner. Each of the letters are fussy cut and adhered using fine glue. The birthday part of the sentiment is from Birthday Sentiments and again I have stamped and fussy cut the wording. It is then adhered using foam adhesive. I finished the card by adding the individual flowers with foam adhesive and some tiny sparkly rhinestones.

So what do you think of this fresh inky creation?

I sure had fun playing with this set and enjoyed pairing it with some other clear stamps that haven't seen much ink lately!

This is all I have to share today, but I will be back on the blog tomorrow with more creativity and a winner from the Designer Dies Natures Treasures II blog hop.

Until then, thank you for stopping by.

Introducing... Alphabet Outlined & Background Blocks Arts Décoratifs

Hey!

Welcome to Day 1 of the February 2020 & 8th Birthday Release product introductions.

I've been waiting for this day for AGES and now this is the fun part where myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors get to show you LOTS of inspiration! You get to see all the sneak peeks I've shared yesterday in action on cards & projects over the next few days leading up to 23rd February, Release Day!

Today we are introducing two new clear stamp sets, Alphabet Outlined AND Background Blocks Arts Décoratifs.

Alphabet Outlined is what the name of the clear stamp set says! I've used the same modern font as I have for the previously released Sentiments Outlined, Festive Sentiments Outlined and You Are, Sentiments Outlined. The scale however is larger and the set also includes numbers & punctuation for even more versatility.

The second stamp we are introducing today is Background Blocks Arts Décoratifs. This stamp set is the first inspired by the Art Deco design style of the 1920's, which is a theme for two other clear stamp sets we are introducing later this week ;)

Let's have a look at some inspiration using these new stamps...

WOW! That was one inspirational hop. You have got to LOVE the fun you can have with an Alpahbet stamp set & my Brand Ambassadors certainly did this. I love the creative and colourful ways they used the Background Block too.

I hope you enjoyed the hop & left some comment love along the way. I will be randomly selecting some comments left on the Introducing hops to win prizes!

Thank you for stopping by today & I hope you will come back tomorrow for more inspiration.

First up is Classic Alphabet, which is exactly what the name of the set says, a versatile classic alphabet with 3 little monogram frames.

The next product has to be one my all time FAVES, mainly because I am a sucker for butterflies!

English Country Garden - Butterflies £4.95
Copyright Uniko Studio 2014

This set features a large butterfly which is easily coloured, even if you're not hot on colouring like me! Then there are two smaller butterflies and a perfectly fitting sentiment.

Next up is Flower Power #5, the next in the Flower Power Series. As you can see the set features a 2 step stamping flower and thank you themed sentiments. There were a lot of you that guessed correctly and if you recognise the flower it's because it's a larger version of one of the flowers contained in Background Builders:Vines.

Introducing... Classic Alphabet

Hey!

I'm so happy that you've stopped by the blog today as today I get to introduce the first new clear stamp set being released HERE at Uniko Studio on Wednesday 11th June 9am GMT. This is the little peek you got the other day in case you missed it...

It's not hard to guess what type of clear stamp set this is, but how about a few samples using it to whet your appetite...

I've gone quite colourful and basic for this first card to create a modern birthday card using the alphabet. A layout  I often use for masculine cards too.

For my next card I have used the set to create & stamp the word 'SWEET'. I started out by stamping the butterflies then lightly drawing a pencil line over the top so that I could stamp the letters straight & central.

This card also gives you a good peek at the set I will be introducing tomorrow!

Ok, that's all I have for you today, but how about some inspiration from the FABulous Design Team and our Guest Designer this month Lynn from the Mango Boys & Me:
