Word on the street is ...

Some trends are simply timeless!

Well thats what I've heard over on Moxie Fab World & if there is one person who knows about trends in the crafting world it would be Cath Edvalson!

So, it looks like Uniko Studio is on trend with Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time! There are a few challenges over on Moxie Fab World and one of them is a Doilies & Lace challenge HERE. So I just had to ink up my set!

Heres what I came up with ...

I paired the doilies on this one layer card with a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday. To make the card I stamped a variety of the doilies contained in the set using Memento Black ink. I then used my Raspberry Copic marker to colour in various areas of the doilies. I added a few gems and adhered it to a Raspberry Fizz CS base.

It was time consuming but therapeutic to colour the doilies in and I will definitely be making a few more of these in other colours!

That's all from me today! Be sure to pop over to Moxie Fab World and check out & have a go at the challenges over there - they're good fun! Plus you can incorporate your Uniko Studio stamps in the challenges too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Slowly does it!

Hello!

Regular scheduling of posts has begun! I'm easing myself back in gently with a card created for the current challenge over on Retro Sketches. It's been a while since I touched my crafting stash so I thought a sketch would help kick start the creative mojo!

Here is the sketch ...

I saw this sketch and had an idea in my head straight away, but when I saw the Modern Lattice Digital Downloadable papers on my desk my idea totally changed!

This is what I came up with ...

I have used the larger of the ditsy floral patterned paper contained in the collection, I think this floral is my favourite pattern in the collection! I love flowers and in such pretty colours too!! You can purchase the download HERE!

I left the card without a sentiment so that it can be used for any occasion that may arise! It's a short and sweet post today as I must crack on with the HUGE to do list!

I'll be back tomorrow, same time, same place so be sure to pop on by I'd love to see you!!

Normal Schedule will resume ...

Hey All!

I'm sorry I have been MIA in blogland & posting this last week, things have been a little busy in The Studio! I am happy to say though that 'normal scheduling' of posts will resume at 9am GMT tomorrow!

Until tomorrow I thought I would leave you with some Uniko Studio inspiration I have spotted around blogland from lovely people who have purchased Uniko Studio products!

Check these out ...

First up are a couple from the lovely Ardyth ...

On this first card Ardyth has used the Decorative Doilies - The Hands Of Time as lovely embossed snowflakes!

This next card Ardyth has used a cheery colour combination using the 'Time' stamp set! I love the flower in the centre of the clock face and them as a border round the edge of the card. Be sure to check out Ardyth's blog HERE, such wonderful inspiration.

Next up is a couple of cards from Sue ...

I love the colour combination of this one layer card, the masked strip is stunning & works so well with the doilies. Sue has used the doily stamp set for this next card too & what a different look it has to the first, but again stunning!

I love the colour purple but rarely use it, this has inspired me to use it more!! Sue has also used the Fontiments-Birthday stamp sets for the sentiments on her cards. Be sure to check Sue's blog out HERE for more details on the cards & there is plenty of inspiration over there too!

Next up is Gayatri ...

I spotted this on one Facebook today as I checked in while having my breakfast! My jaw dropped when I saw it! It's stunning!

I'm loving the layered look and have never used the doilies like that, but it works so well with that colour combo! Be sure to check out Gayatri's blog HERE her cards are AmAzInG!

Well, that's all I have to share for today. If you've made or spotted any cards using Uniko Studio products & I haven't popped by to see them & comment, send me an email with a link. I love to see what you have created using them and sharing your creations here on the blog too!

I'll be back tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!

A bit of Mixing & Matching ...

Hey All!

Hope your all having a good week? It's back to work for me after a few days relaxing, lots to get done! Anyway, before I get started I have another card to share using Background Builders Lattice & this time I paired it with the medium & small graphic flowers from Time.

I enjoyed the retrosketch so much this week & as I was making yesterday's card had this card idea in my head ...

I started off by stamping one of the Lattice strips in SU! Basic Grey and matted this to a PTI Autumn Rose card base. I then stamped the flowers in matching ink, cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. I used some dew drop bling for the centre of the flowers & doted a few about too for extra measure!

That's all from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with another card or two to share with you all. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes ...

Hey!

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I've been spending some time with my hunny for his birthday weekend & would like to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today!!

Anyway, I managed to squeeze in a little inky time while the football was on last night to make this birthday card for him ...

I used 2 challenges for this card, firstly a retrosketch sketch HERE and also the Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge HERE. Below are the two inspiration pictures ...

The last NEW set for my focus which was released last month from Uniko Studio is Background Builders Lattice. I love this set & it has SO many possibilities! I used 2 sentiment stamps from Fontiments - Birthday too. I stamped the lattice in Memento Black ink and coloured the in lattice using 3 Copic colours matched to The Play Date Cafe Challenge. I then stamped the individual lattice stamps coloured them & cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. A few dew drops finished the card nicely. A modern masculine card!

That's all from me today, I'm off to spend some more quality time with my hunny as it's his birthday today & while he is off work too! Were off out for pizza & a movie - yum! I'll be back tomorrow with another card using this set combined with a previously released set!

Thanks for stopping by!

Playing With Paper ...

Hey All!

I'm a little later than usual today with my post, I apologise for that. I took a day out yesterday with my former part-time college friends to a local historical house for some chatter and inspiration looking at lovely vintage furniture and textiles. Therefore I didn't make it into the Studio until today to make a couple of samples.

So without further ado here is my first card to share with you all ...

Today I am focusing on using the Modern Lattice Digital Downloadable papers available from the Uniko Studio website. I LOVE the designs in this collection, even if I do say so myself! Lol! The ditsy floral patterned paper that I have used in this first card is my FAVE!

This card was super simple to make after cutting my card base from SU! Sahara Sand CS I then cut a panel of patterned paper the same width as the card base but only 7.5 cm in height. I then trimmed the patterned paper at different intervals on an angle. I then adhered then to the card base using my glue pen leaving a gap in-between each piece. A simple sentiment from Fontiments - Birthday & a cluster of buttons finished the card off nicely.

This next card is also super simple too and uses another 2 of the patterned papers from the collection. I used the butterfly punch from SU! and another sentiment from Fontiments - Birthday. If I received this card I'd SMILE!

I have one last card to share with you all today ...

On this card I have used 2 more patterned papers from the collection to make the flower which is die cut using a Sizzix die from SU! The sentiment is also from Fontiments - Birthday

I hope you have enjoyed the projects I have shared today & that it has inspired you to use patterned papers in a CAS way! I'll be back tomorrow with the last Uniko Studio product focus from this release. Thanks for stopping by today!

One of THEM days!

Happy Wednesday!

Do you ever have one of THEM days where no matter what you make you're just no happy with the results? I had one yesterday evening as I was 'trying' to create a card or two to share with you today! Things were going wonky, there were smudges & mishaps that just made me frustrated!

Anyway, FINALLY I made a card I was happy with! So here it is ...

I had SO many ideas in my head to show you with Fontiments - Birthday but they were just not happening! I think I've used them a fair amount since release so I think you get the idea & general size of them! The more I use them the more I think of companion words that I 'wish' I had, good job this is the first in a SERIES of Fontiments!!

I paired the sentiment with 2 of the little stamps contained in Background Builders - Lattice. I used a Copic BG72 to colour in the thin border of the line lattice & the little lattice is stamped in SU! Baja Breeze.

Well, thats all I have to share for today! Thanks for stopping by!
