'Q' Retro Flower!

Hey!

I've a kinda retro floral card to share with you all today...

I created this card using a combination of two challenges. I started out with the current Retro Sketch seen HERE and below and used the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below and I'm super pleased with the result!

I also combined the 2 Flower Power clear stamp sets available HERE at Uniko Studio. These 2 sets go together like bread & butter! There are SO many mix and match options just with these 2 mini stamp sets.

I just love the over stamped flower which creates a feeling of a light & fluffy bloom. With not adding a sentiment make this card perfect for any occasion and the cheery bright colours certainly brightens up a miserable UK Summer day!

That's all I have to share for today, be sure to stop by tomorrow as we've a guest blogger - YAY! It's so much fun having company in the studio :)

Thanks for stopping by.

HOT Blooms!

Hey!

How are we all this fine Wednesday? All is good here in the studio and the week seems to be flying by! I spent some time yesterday getting creative and made a couple of cards to share with you all...

Whist on a blog land mooch yesterday lunchtime I came across another NEW to me challenge blog called Papertake Weekly Challenge.

As you may know I like a good challenge, they are a great inspiration when you want to create but don't know what products or colours to use. The current Papertake Weekly Challenge HERE is HOT HOT HOT. Quite a loose challenge which could be taken in various directions.

I decided to use a HOT colour scheme of bright pink, yellow and a bright green to create this crisp CAS card above. I paired Uniko Studio's Flower Power #2, Natures Treasures and Background Builders: Chevrons on my card and I'm liking the result!

I enjoyed this colour scheme and combination of stamps that I went on to make another card...

This time I used another NEW to me challenge blog CAS - Colours & Sketches Blog. Their current challenge seen HERE and below is a sketch challenge.

For my card I started out by drawing lightly with a pencil the over lapped horizontal and vertical panels onto my white mat layer. I then masked them off so I could stamp one of the smaller leaves from Uniko Studio's Natures Treasures I. I stamped the blooms from Flower Power #2 and the leaves from Beautiful Blooms I and fussy cut them out before adhering to the card using glue dots for a bit of dimension but not as much as foam adhesive would give...

That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share & on Friday we have Abbie (my current work experience intern) with a guest blogger post to share her first creations using Uniko Studio products!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Man...I'm Crazy for CAS!

Hey!

I'm back as promised with a card to share and there is a little pun in my post title, which refers to the 2 challenges I used for my card, more of that in a bit. I've been wanting to use the little parallelogram stamps from Background Builders: Chevrons for sometime now and this is how I decided to use them...

I started out with a mixed Happy Birthday sentiment, the happy from All Occasion Sentiments #2 and the birthday from FONTiments - Birthday (which will be back in stock 29th June). I then stamped the parallelograms in Lucky Limeade & Black randomly pointing down towards the sentiment and up towards the sentiment.

I used the current Dynamic Duos challenge colours seen HERE and below, I substituted Pear Pizzaz for Lucky Limeade which is a close enough match!

I also happened across this NEW to me challenge blog called Crazy for CAS, which kinda sums me up! I LOVE CAS!! The current challenge is masculine and you can join in HERE

That's all from me today, be sure to check out my earlier post HERE to see if you were the June Release Mini Blog Hop Winner - the prize is a £25 gift certificate!! I'll be back again tomorrow with more to share.

Thanks for stopping by!

In Bloom

Happy Sunday!

It was a super happy week here at Uniko Studio not only due to the FABulous release of NEW products, but also because the Peony bloomed...

This is my pride & joy in my garden and each Spring as it starts to flourish I wonder how many buds are going to form and blossom into gorgeous blooms! This year I have 4 blooms and this was the first to open.

I'm looking forward to getting back to some drawing this week, so watch this space for a new Pure Florals stamp set coming your way!

I do have a card to share with you all today too...

Yep, it's another Beautiful Blooms I card! I just can't stop using it! I don't think the stamps have made it back into the case yet - haha!

I used the current Seize the Birthday sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card and I used  The Play Date Cafe challenge colours again seen HERE and below.

There's not much to say about my card today as it's so CAS & all the supplies are listed below. I've a little prep work to do today in the studio as I have another intern starting tomorrow for work experience & the desk Abbie (yes another Abbie) will be working at needs clearing!

I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then THANK YOU for stopping by & have a wonderful day.

Lucky no.3...

Hey!

Happy Friday to you all, I hope you've all had a good week up to now. Have you anything exciting planned this weekend, or crafting time scheduled? It's a quiet weekend for me here in the studio, I'll be catching up on a few things now that the post June Release is calming slightly!

I think I will squeeze in plenty of crafting time to play with the NEW Uniko Studio products and mix them with some of the previously released products too, so I should have plenty to share with you next week.

So, onto todays card...

This card took me 2 failed attempts and this was my 3rd at achieving what I had envisioned it to look like! I was getting so frustrated I nearly gave up! I'm pleased I stuck out as I do like the result.

I used the NEW CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below and also the NEW The Play Date Cafe challenge colours seen HERE and below.

The strip down the left hand side of the sketch is on my card, I kept it subtle using white on white embossing. This is another colour scheme I've really enjoyed using and I'm sure I will be using again over the weekend.

Here's a close up of the embossing detail...

Ok, that's enough babbling from me today, I'll be back tomorrow with a Saturday Show as it's been a while since I've showcased some customer creations.

Until then, thank you for stopping by.
