CAS Colours & Sketches #192

Hey!

Karen is our hostess this month over at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week is sketch week. Karen  has this sketch HERE and seen below for you to try...

So this is what I came up with...

I've been preparing and making samples for the upcoming Uniko Sept/Oct release and I couldn't help but use a couple of the stamps on todays card. The idea just came to me and I went along with it ;)

I stamped the leaves and sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa, a colour I rarely use to stamp with and then colour with Copic Markers, but it seemed less harsh than black. The leaves are just simply flat coloured with very little blending and I just randomly coloured them to give an Autumn feel.

Appropriate for the current Uniko Challenge HERE, which is a theme challenge with the optional twist of thanks.

Ok, that's all from me today! I hope I have inspired you to give the sketch a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Supplies:
Stamps: Soon to be released Uniko Originally Organic

CAS Colours & Sketches #191

Hey!

This month over at CAS Colours & Sketches our hostess is Karen. Karen has come up with some fabulous challenges for us, including this weeks lovely colour combo HERE and seen below for you to try...

What a lovely colour combo, don't you think? It had me stumped for a while, but then an idea struck and I went with it. With a restock of lots of clear stamp sets today HERE in the Uniko store, including Peace On Earth that I have used on my card. I decided to make a Christmas card...

I thought the Delightful Dijon resembles a lovely old gold colour and one which I have the SU! card stock for, so decided to use that as my base. I then die cut a white panel stamped the sentiment and olive branch from the set in a close of a match green as I have to Cucumber Crush. Wrapped some Bermuda Bay bakers twine round the panel before adhering to the card base using foam adhesive.

The dove is stamped in Bermuda Bay, fussy cut out and embellished with glitter for a little Christmas sparkle!

Ok, that's all from me for now, I hope I have inspired you to give these colours a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.

A Warm Welcome...

Hey!

I super duper happy that you have stopped by the blog today as FINALLY I can let the cat out of the bag and introduce to you the newest member of the Uniko Design Team...

Rahmat Gouse from Cards & Cooking Corner

I am sure that Rahmat doesn't need much of an introduction to you all, as she has been a regular follower, customer and frequent participant in Uniko Challenges along with other challenges around blogland and has a wonderful presence on social media.

But, for those of you who don't, here is a little bio from Rahmat...

'Hello, I am Rahmat, I am very delighted to be part of Uniko Design Team! I am a crafter since childhood, I started with embroidery plus sewing, and then I moved onto paper crafting. Initially it was just making cards, and papercrafts for my kids.

A friend of mine saw my cards back in 2013, and forced me to make 10 cards for her, since then a spark was ignited, and I worked my way through finding things in this crafting world, like a little Alice in the Wonderland!

It took me sometime to discover my very style, which is CAS mostly, but I do love to try out different techniques from time to time. Embroidery being my first love, I take every possible chance to add a stitch or two on my cards.

I started blogging about a bit over 2 years now, and got more and more into card making since then. I am a mother to 2 teens, a teacher by profession, but currently doing substitute teaching. Besides card making, I also enjoy photography, cooking, traveling  and I also love to give lessons for free on Indian cooking.

Be sure to follow me on Instagram for a glimpse of all the above at @rahmat.ccc'

Here are a few of my favourites Rahmat has created using Uniko goodies...

I am sure you will all join me in giving Rahmat a warm welcome and leave some love for her here and on Rahman's blog HERE

Welcome Rahmat! We look forward to seeing more of your wonderful inspiration using Uniko goodies ;) Super lucky an honoured to have you as part of the Uniko DT and family!

Hugs

CAS Colours & Sketches #190

Hey!

Karen is our hostess this month over at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week is sketch week. Karen  has this sketch HERE and seen below for you to try...

I hope my curve is curvy enough for you Karen! Karen wants to see a defined curve to your cards this week ;)

So this is what I came up with...

You may have seen my earlier post today, HERE. I have designed a digital stamp collection for Simply Cards & Papercrafts, available for download for FREE HERE

So as you can see I decided to use one of the images again for my card! I scaled the image down slightly and changed the orientation a little as I copied and pasted it into a document to create my own patterned paper. I then coloured it with Copic markers and die cut a curved edge using my Mama Elephant Dies.
