Another one for the boys ...

Hey!

I had SO much fun using the current Retro Sketch I used yesterday HERE, HERE and seen below that I had to make one more card for the BOYS for the Addicted To Stamps Challenge HERE...

This turned out a little less CAS than yesterdays card, with using the patterned digital downloadable paper & pairing it with the clocking in card & pocket watch. I think it's rather fun though & draws your focus to the pocket watch, making that the focal point of the card. 

Moxie FAB World have a challenge HERE all about focal points on cards, so I thought it quite fitting to enter this card over there too! Why not go check it out & have a go.

A Card For Any Occasion

Hello & Happy Monday!

How are we all? Ready for a NEW week? I'm still catching up with jobs this week, though my schedule is a little less busy so I might just get caught up on scheduling some blog posts at the regular time! 

Anyhow, I'm here today to share a card that can be used for any occasion ...

For this card I used the current Retro Sketch HERE and seen below. I had the TIME stamp set on my desk from my last card so decided to make a girly graphic flower card in a fresh colour combination. I added some buttons for good measure to the flower centres which fits nicely into the DYSU (Do Yo Stack Up) challenge of buttons HERE.

I added some extra bling by heat embossing the dots on the mat panel, here's a close up ...

Am I the only one ...?

Hello & Happy Weekend!

Am I the only one who enjoys making cards for the men in our lives?! I love a good 'masculine' card challenge so when I saw the current card challenge over on Addicted To Stamps HERE I had to join  in ...

The challenge is to make a card for the men in our lives. Now, the Uniko Studio TIME and EXTRA TIME stamp sets are perfect for making a masculine card! 

I used the current Freshly Made Sketch HERE and seen below for the layout of my card, it came together in under 15 minutes which is perfect at the moment due to how busy things are in The Studio!

I used my 'go to' colour combo for masculine cards! Here's a close up ...

I bought myself some NEW crafting tools to design with ... Tim Holtz Distress Markers, they should arrive today so hopefully I will find some time to 'play' with them today! Yep, I'm late posting again! I just can't quite catch up on the list of things to be done, the list seems to be getting longer too! Oh well, I do have a CAS one layer card to share with you all ...

Better late than not at all!

Sorry I'm way behind schedule today, but as they say better late than not at all! It's been a scorcher of a day here in the UK & I had an unexpected invite to a birthday celebration, it was lovely in the sunshine celebrating with my friend.

Anyway, I managed to squeeze in time whilst tea was cooking to make this card ...

It's been a while since I used Uniko Studio digital products so I thought I'd give them a whirl! I originally planned it to be a one layer hybrid card but it turned out to be a layered card instead, mounting the digital panel onto a lovely Sweet Blush card base.

Here is a close up of the digital images ...

Instructions:

1. Open Adobe Photoshop & create a custom sized document. Mine was 8 X 13 cm, the size I wanted my panel to be. making your document the size it will be cut to makes placing & centring images easier.

2. Open another custom document 4 x 4 cm. I then placed the Certainly Celery Gingham digital paper from Classics Summer into the document & resized slightly using the transform option. I then flattened the layers to be able to copy & paste to my first document.

3. Once I was happy with the placement of my gingham square I added a new layer to my document. With the new layer selected I used the butterfly brush from English Country Garden digital collection. I then used the transform tool to rotate & change the size until I was happy.

4. I repeated the process for the second smaller butterfly. 

5. The last step was to type the sentiment. I typed what I wanted, in this case 'Thank you' then I selected the font & size I wanted. 

6. Print document, measure & cut panel to size.

7. Tie ribbon & adhere scalloped edge.

8. Adhere to base card using foam adhesive for dimension.

I'd have liked to of made a short video showing you how quick & easy this card was to make but my neighbours house alarm has been going off all day :( very frustrating. IF the alarm plays nice tomorrow I'll add a video!

Bingo!

Hello!

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a lovely weekend & are ready for the week ahead. It was a quiet but summery weekend here in The Studio and it's full steam ahead on lots of projects & much designing to be done. 

So with that in mind on to todays card ...

For today's card I used the current bingo challenge over on Addicted To Stamps HERE & seen below. I've never participated in a bingo challenge before but I am seeing them around so thought I'd join in on the fun.

I chose the vertical line on the right hand side of the bingo card for my card. Flowers was easy, Pure Florals: Gerbera is perfect! Here's a close up of the embossing on the card as it's hard to see in the first photo...

I used Versamark ink & heat embossed the Gerbera's with Crystal embossing powder for a lovely sparkly finish.
