I'm guessing it's back to normality for you all, husbands back at work, kids at school, etc, etc. Well, it's back to normality here too and I'm getting stuck in with lots of designing for upcoming releases, planning classes and lovely things here on the blog.
Todays card was inspired by a couple of things, firstly the current Addicted to CAS challenge HERE, which is die cuts and the second was Jennifer McGuire's post HERE, adding dimension to die cuts.
I heart this loopy, handwritten love die, which is from Stampin' Up! and I knew it would work great with this dimensional die cut technique. I simply die cut the word eight times out of scrap white card stock and used my glue pen to stick them together.
The 'YOU' is a masked sentiment from Label Love: Thank you and the gold embossed hearts are from Always & Forever and Flower Power #3. I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card. Result, a perfect anytime Love You card, not just for Valentine's Day. Such a fun technique I will definitely be revisiting in the near future!
That's all from me today, there is much work to be done! Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today :)

Aww.. this is so Awesome Beverly!!! Love every little details :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever technique, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove this CAS card.
ReplyDeleteReally love this CAS card, great effect with the dimensional die cut word. I find CAS cards quite difficult, mine always look too bare, everyone else's looks fine :/ Perhaps a little practise is in order? Ha, any excuse to get in to my craft room, lol.

Hi Bev. LOVE :) ... your love card! I have been adding dimension to my dies for a while now (usually three) to give them depth and strength and make them pop on my cards ... but eight layers - wow!! ReplyDeleteReally awesome CAS card, Bev. And I love your exactely way to cover all the die cuts. Great job. Thanks for playing along with us in the CAS(E) this sketch! challenge and hope to see you again.
ReplyDeleteHey Beverly. this is fabulous! I knew when I saw it that the word was Stampin' Up but I wondered how you got it to look so thick! Very clever, time-consuming! but clever! The word stands out so well on the red background and I love the little splashes of gold x
ReplyDeleteWould be nice if the die cut was available. :(
ReplyDeleteThe die was available in the UK Stampin' Up! Winter mini, if it was a popular sell they often bring some of the items into the main catalogue. However, there are LOTS of other word dies on the market that would work just as great!
