Introducing... Nautical Treasures

Hey!

I'm super happy you have popped by the blog today & thank you for all your lovely comments and joining in on the fun yesterday :)

Today myself and the awesome DT are introducing the second of the two mini sets being released this month. All of the sets being released will be available HERE on May 11th at 9am GMT.

This is the little sneak peek of the set incase you missed it the other day...

Now this set has a little bit of 'history' behind it! I originally designed it way back when I was studying for my degree at Cleveland College of Art & Design. It was inspired by the Tall Ships that came to Hartlepool in the Summer of 2010.

I thought I would share my original drawing sheet from when I was working on the project...

Now I have waffled on for far too long reminiscing, I will share a few projects using this set. This first card is one of the 4 masculine boat themed cards that were in the class kit at The Paperlane on Saturday.

I used the current Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the basis of my card. I kept the colour and fuss minimal and I am pleased with the result.

My next card has a little more detail and is an original card design I created when I did my project. The original stamp designs were a little rough around the edges as at that time I was only just learning Adobe Illustrator, now I am a little more proficient with the design package (but by no means an expert), it brought a smile to my face the first time I stamped this boat! 

Ok, that's all from me today, but how about some inspiration from the FABulous Design Team, I know they will leave you feeling inspired about this set!

Introducing... Flower Power #7

I'm super happy you have popped by the blog today & thank you for all your lovely comments, I really do love reading them :)

Today myself and the awesome DT are introducing the first of the two mini sets being released this month. All of the sets being released will be available HERE on May 11th at 9am GMT.

This is the little sneak peek of the set incase you missed it the other day...

If you've been around these parts for some time, you will recognise that this is the next in the Flower Power series! I've had this designed for a while now, I just needed some sentiments to go along with it & THANKS to my regular class attendees at The Paperlane the set was complete! 

Anyway, how about a couple of samples using the set...

So, I have to admit that I just can't STOP using this colour combo, especially when the card involves florals! I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below and voila! this card was created in a flash :)

I think I have finally got a little mojo back, which I was surprised at considering I am still suffering with this cold. Anyway, the card features quite a bit of fussy cutting, which I find relaxing. I've also used a sentiment from tomorrows product introduction.

My next card features the same colour combination, though this time with a bit more white...

This card was inspired by the TIME OUT Challenges photo inspiration seen HERE and below. This time I used a sentiment from Flower Power #2. All the florals, stems & leaves and sentiments from all the Flower Power stamp sets are sized to be mixed and matched with each other for even more possibilities.

This is how I was inspired by the photo...

Again I was inspired by the floral wall paper and the bold black bedside units. On today's card I have given you a HUGE sneak preview of a soon to be released stamp set HERE at Uniko Studio! I'll be back in 2 hours on the blog with the 'official' Sneak Peek of this set ;)

When I was thinking of a reminder card & design I just couldn't help myself, the stamps were on my desk from making samples and cards for my class at The Paperlane on Saturday and they just worked perfectly!
