Uniko Studio's 3rd Birthday - February 2015 Release, Reveal & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & SUPER Happy Wednesday!

Today is officially Uniko Studio's 3rd Birthday :) and we have four new products lining the Uniko Studio HQ shelves.

If you've been joining in on the fun since the Sneak Peeks you might want to check HERE to see if you are a mystery prize winner!

Now grab a drink & let's get to the fun and see these new clear stamp sets in full...

Balloon Bash £4.95
Copyright Uniko Studio 2015

Balloon Bash is what it is, a set for all occasions that you could have balloons for! It features two solid balloons, two types of string, a double bow, four confetti stamps, a mini balloon and a light reflection accent.

This set can be used easily on it's own, but it coordinates perfectly with all of Uniko Studio's sentiment stamps & the previously released Label Love: Birthday.

Next up we have Classic Numbers...

Classic Numbers £4.95
Copyright Uniko Studio 2015

This set coordinates perfectly with the previously released Classic Alphabet. It is a perfect addition to any stampers arsenal of supplies :)

Now a 3rd Birthday Release wouldn't be complete without a new floral set!

Beautiful Blooms II £4.95
Copyright Uniko Studio 2015

The next in the Beautiful Blooms series. This modern floral set was initially inspired by vintage lace & features a 3 step stamping option. It's sure to be the new 'go to' set of mine!

Lastly but by no means least we have a sentiment set...

Simply Said Birthday £4.95
Copyright Uniko Studio 2015

The next in the Simply Said series to be exact and a whole bunch of birthday sentiments in awesome modern fonts.

Ok, now all the formal introductions have been done, I have a selection of cards using the new sets...

For my first card I had to use Beautiful Blooms II and again the pink & grey colour combo! I went for a darker grey this time though. You can't quite see the sparkle of the leaves on the grey card base, but I used Versamark Dazzle ink to stamp them. The layered flower is also sparkly due to the good coating of Wink Of Stella I put on it!

Next I decided to make a sparkly, colourful confetti / balloon card. Even though I have added pink stars I think this is a fairly masculine card.

That's all I had time to make in time for release day, but as tradition holds we have our release day blog hop, simply visit & comment along the hop by Wednesday 18th February, to be in the chance of winning the ENTIRE release! If you have already purchased any or all of the release a refund will be given. As it is our 3rd Birthday I will also be giving away two more prizes of £10 eGift Certificates.

So, lets see what the AWESOME Design Team have created...

Still TIME to play @ TIME OUT Challenges - Home Sweet Home

Hey!

I'm here this morning with another TIME OUT Challenges card. This fortnight is Home Sweet Home with a interiors photo to spark your inspiration...

Original Source: The Swenglish Home

This is how I was inspired by the photo...

I stuck with the same stamp set as my first card for the challenge seen HERE, but this time switched up the colours and layout. I was overall inspired by the wooden word tags and translated this with the film strip words on my card.

So, you still have a week to join in on the challenge :)

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations :) Until the next time, thank you for stopping by today.

A continuing theme...

Hey & Happy Weekend!

Today I've been at The Paperlane 'teaching' my last 2 classes before I take maternity leave (of sorts). I'll still be organising the kits for the August & September classes & running the business here at home, but won't be back at The Paperlane till October.

Anyway, one of the techniques we explored today was the baby wipe stamping which I shared HERE and HERE. These are a couple of cards included in the kit using the technique and the revisited set for this month, Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum...

I really liked a card layout I had seen HERE on this post by Nichole Heady & instantly thought of the small solid Chrysanthemum. I'm still loving the angled trend and love the reverse die cut / stamping technique.

An interesting discovery today using the baby wipe technique is that you get different results as to the type of baby wipe you use. On some the inks spread and blend more that on others, so it's good to experiment!

Now for a super CAS vibrant rainbow Chrysanthemum! This makes me happy this card & again I've used my FAVE combo of colours!

That's all from me today, it's been a lovely but long day so I think I will hit the sack! Don't forget to join in & comment along the DT Blog Hop HERE for your chance to win the revisited set & dies or Gift Certificate to the same value.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by :)

Best Wishes

Hey!

Where on earth did that weekend go?! It flew by here and as much as I was determined to enter into the studio and make cards my plans were halted by the fact our house became DIY Central! My role was supervisor/assistant and making sure the house didn't get flooded!

By the time we had finished for the evening I was too tired to venture into the studio and ended up in bed before 9:30 both nights, hence no cards to share and no posts here on the blog. On the up side, the jobs are being ticked off and we might just have them all done before the 'lil beans arrive :)

Finally I am back this evening, my mojo a little lost, but I managed to create this card to share with you all...

I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout, again seen HERE and below for my card. This time I used a couple of colours from the current Uniko Studio Challenge seen HERE and below.

There is still plenty of time to join in on the Uniko Studio Challenge, I'd LOVE you to join in :) There is a £10 Gift Certificate prize for the winner too!

That's all from me today & I WILL be back tomorrow with more to share & hopefully a bit more mojo will have returned! Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

They're BACK!

Hey! Happy Friday - YAY!

If you missed the newsletter or announcement on Facebook yesterday evening you might be happy to hear that there have been a few restocks over on the website. A few old FAVES including Background Builders: LatticePure Florals: Gerbera and BRIGHT Butterflies along with a NEW favourite Background Builders: Vines

I decided to ink up and combine a couple of the restocked sets for todays card...

Yep, it's Lattice & Vines! A great combo, even if I do say so myself! I used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for a starting point and reached for a few colours I wouldn't normally use.

Here is a close up of the detail...

Short & sweet again tonight, the June Release arrived in the studio today & I am itching to ink a couple of the sets up before an early night! Be sure to stop by the blog over the weekend as tomorrow it's The Saturday Show and on Sunday we have the May Design Team Blog Hop and we're revisiting a FAB set and there is a GIVEAWAY too :) Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Spring Blooms

Hey!

It's SO good to be making cards again, I sure have missed playing with my paper crafting goodies! This is what I came up with this morning...

I used a couple of challenges to get my creativity going, first I decided to join in on the current CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge HERE and seen below. I was super happy to find on Saturday that I was picked as a winner for sketch #69 HERE and you can see the original post HERE.

I also decided to use the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below. I can't resist Spring colours at the moment :)

Here is a a close up of the detail...

So yesterday I announced a double GIVEAWAY one HERE on the blog & one HERE on the Uniko Studio Facebook Page. All you have to do is comment on each post to be in the chance of winning. You have until 9am Friday 4th April to comment & I will draw the winner shortly after & announce them on the blog & Facebook.

Ok, that's all from me today, I've still a bit more to catch up on and a few more cards to make which I will be sharing with you over the next few days. Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today :)

Patchwork Squares

Hey!

Sorry for the lateness of my post today, I've had so much to catch up on & I think I am just about there! Anyway, I thought I would share a card that we made at one of the classes on Saturday at The Paperlane...

A super CAS patchwork style card using Background Builders: Squared, Flower Power #1 and a sentiment from A Gift For You. I started out by stamping all of the squares on to a piece of white card. I then trimmed them out leaving a small white border.

For the pink square I masked two of the edges and stamped the outline flower in black ink. I then temporarily adhered the squares to my white mat layer so that I could space them evenly and stamp the sentiment exactly where I wanted it to be. I then adhered some of the squares flat & mounted some with foam adhesive. This was all then adhered to a Melon Mambo card base & the flower finished off with a turquoise rhinestone.

That's all from me today, I'll be back tomorrow though with the rest of the Uniko Studio Design Team for the March Design Team Blog Hop. There are a few announcements tomorrow too & of course a prize up for grabs too! Hope to see you tomorrow, until then, thank you for stopping by today & also thank you for all the congratulations & best wishes for our double bundle of joy!

Iron Craft

Hey!

Happy Monday :) I'm a little later than usual for a reason as I am starting off the week with a FABulous feature.

A while back Chaitali from Iron Craft, Cuts, Crops & Creativity contacted me to see if I'd be interested in joining her for an Iron Craft challenge which is featured on her blog every Monday, you can read more about it HERE and also see the previous Iron Craft features. Well I couldn't say no as you know I LOVE a challenge!

Lets get to it!

The ingredients...

I decided on the Uniko Studio stamp set to use seen above and also threw in a digital patterned paper collection seen below for good measure!

Chaitali thought it would be fun to use a sketch and decided on the current CAS(E) this Sketch! seen HERE and below.

And with all that this is what I created...

Not so much white space as I usually like, but it's good to step outside of your comfort zone now & then! I used the Rock 'n' Roll technique on my flowers and the leaves are cut from the stamp and popped behind the flowers...

I hope you like todays card, be sure to pop over to Chaitali's blog HERE to see her creation using the ingredients. There is also a Uniko Stuio Gift Certificate up for grabs!!

Ok, that's all from me today as it's a busy one here after the Weekend Free Worldwide Shipping special, lots more orders to post, Oh, and some stock reordering to do!!

Thanks to everyone who ordered, your custom is truly appreciated and I hope you enjoy using your new goodies and I'd LOVE to see your creations, remember to drop me an email with a link so I can pop by and leave a comment!

Thanks for stopping by today.

CASology Challenge Blog Sponsor!

Hey!

*If you've popped by to see the Uniko Studio June Release & Reveal you can check it out HERE*

Uniko Studio is very proud to be the current sponsor over on the CASology challenge blog. The code word for the current challenge HERE is Yellow...

I thought I'd join in and make a card using the code word, yellow I thought to myself, not my favourite colour to use on its own. However, I decided to use the NEW Beautiful Blooms I clear stamp set available HERE to make using the colour a little easier!

I simply stamped the large & small bloom from the set onto a panel of white card stock. I then added glitter to the white areas of the bloom and added a sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum.

Be sure to join in on the fun as there is a Uniko Studio prize up for grabs too!

So, as I had Beautiful Blooms I out on my desk I thought I'd ink it up again to make a similar card with a couple more colours...

This time I added a sentiment from Label Love: Birthday and bling...

I found THIS challenge blog a while back called Stamping Sensations. Their current challenge for June HERE  is *Summer Bloom* and so I thought my Beautiful Blooms card above fit right in!

That's all from me today! I'll be back tomorrow with a few more June Release projects to share, thanks for stopping by.
