My Style 2 Ways...

Happy Sunday!

I hope your all having a lovely weekend and that you enjoyed the festivities here on the blog yesterday?! I certainly had fun & I'm looking forward to receiving emails for DT applications and seeing projects linked to Super FREE Saturday. If you missed yesterday's post check it out HERE.

Today I have a few more cards to share with you which use the BRIGHT Butterflies Super FREE Saturday collection available to download HERE. I have made 2 cards which I think show my style but in 2 different ways...

On this first card I have stepped out of my comfort zone a little but still kept it CAS to a degree...

I started out by using Rose Red Ink to splatter lightly across my card blank - Arrrgh! Messing up a lovely white background - totally out of my comfort zone!

I then used stripes of the patterned paper from the collection and CS matching the colours to create a 'Washi Tape' kind of effect. I tore the edges on the right hand side - which is a step out of my comfort zone! Tearing = messy which doesn't fit in my neat organised head! LOL!

Next, the sewing machine was dusted off & I stitched a zig zag down the edge! A very rare occurrence on a card, mainly as I'm in a rush and can't be bothered to add stitching! I then layered the butterfly cut out from the journal card with a die cut butterfly. I enlarged the journal card quite a bit to get the butterfly bigger. Some rhinestones dotted about & a sentiment from Extra Time finished the card off nicely!

For my next card I used the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch I used on Friday seen HERE and HERE. I kept the card super CAS & super simple ...

I selected the floral paper from the collection and used 2 Martha Stewart Butterfly punches to punch out the butterflies. The sentiment is from Pure Florals: Gerbera.

Yet each card is clearly different in the degree of Clean & Simple I feel both cards represent my style of card making & I love them both!

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects & that I inspire you a bit when it comes to making cards?! Thanks for stopping by today.

Card Mixtures!

Helloooo!

Yes, I am still alive! A few days off to celebrate The Queens Diamond Jubilee ended up being over a week off!! I have to say the rest has done me some good and I have enjoyed both family time & alone time to kick start my creative mojo!

Anyway, enough of the chit chat & how about a few card shares?! I have a mixed bag of styles & colours to share with you today ...

This first card was made whilst in a Patriotic mood! I had been to The Paperlane and treated myself to a few new Memory Box dies. The Simple Banner die was one of them! The Classics digital download papers fit perfectly into The Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations so I used the banner die to cut 3 of the paper designs contained in the collection. I paired it with a 'Celebrate' sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday stamped in Pacific Point from SU! Though the card has a Jubilee/Patriotic feel & colour scheme it can be used for many occasion.

This next card uses another new Memory Box die ...

When I saw this Bubble Daisy Border die I instantly thought of the ditsy floral papers contained in the Joyful Butterfly digital download. This card was super quick & simple & is in a very girly colour scheme! I die cut the border from the paper and adhered it to the card using my quickie glue pen. I added a few pearls to the flower centres.

I then die cut a butterfly from So Saffron CS using PTIs Butterfly Dreams die. I then used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch for the smaller butterfly. The sentiment is from FONTiments - Birthday. Here is a close up photo ...

This next card is the last of the cards for today ...

Doilies & Bling!! I used Stampin' Up! In Colour combo for this card with Calypso Coral taking the focus. I used 3 solid doilies from Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time and a sentiment from Extra Time.

The ideas are now buzzing around head so I best get to work and put them to paper! Thanks for stopping by today!

Creating Borders ...

HEY!

Happy Tuesday ... I'm back today to share a lil CAS card with y'all.

I'm having some FUN at the MOMENT playing with the smaller stamps contained in the Time & Extra Time stamp sets. They open up SO many possibilities for creating patterns. For this card I used a clock hand & sentiment from Extra Time. I simply started stamping the clock hand vertical & rotating it 180 degrees & stamping it again. I started the process from the middle & worked out to the sides in both directions.  I kept this card 10.5 x 10.5 cm for no particular reason than for using up scraps of CS I had left over from other projects.

Just imagine creating a multi coloured border or stripes of clock hands in a rainbow of colours there are SO many things you can do with the smaller stamps in the Uniko Studio stamp sets!

Before I go today I have one more card to share. I spotted this BEAUTY when I was mooching around the internet last night.

This card is by Debby from Lime Doodle Blog. I have been an admirer of Debby's CAS style cards for a while now, so I love to pop by Debby's blog for a look see! And look what I found ...

Debby has used a clock face from the Extra Time stamp set paired with some Waltzingmouse stamps & lovely lovely Studio Calico DP. I strongly recommend having a look around Debby's Blog HERE as her projects are FAB!

That's all I have to share today but of course I will be back again tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by!

Leap with some Extra Time!

Happy Leap Day!

I thought it fitting with this extra day this year that I should use some of it to make a card! It's even more fitting using the Extra Time set!

Now, this card isn't my usual CAS kinda style I usually make, but I thought I'd do something a little out of my comfort zone and add a few more layers! There seems to be a lot going on but it quite simple really! And, I only used the Extra Time stamp set for this card stamp wise that is!

I started by using the 'Every MOMENT Counts' sentiment stamp and simply stamped it across a piece of kraft CS using Chocolate Chip ink. I then used some chalk inks to add a lil bit of a distressed edge to finish it off. This was adhered to a Chocolate Chip base card.

I knew I wanted the Clocking In & Out card to be a removable embellishment & one that could have a handwritten note on, so I stamped it onto white CS using Crumb Cake ink and cut it out leaving a small border around the card.

It happens to fit perfectly into the library card holder die cut from PTI, so I die cut this from Kraft CS which I adhered to a mat of Pacific Point CS. I thought the blue was a striking colour against the muted browns & I love blue!

I chose my favourite clock face from the set and stamped it in the Pacific Point ink and used a 1 3/4" circle punch to cut it out. I then used foam pads and adhered it to a scallop die cut. I felt the 'Just BECAUSE' fit nicely with the other 2 I have used and it is nice to send people a 'Just BECAUSE' card which I don't do nearly enough. Shame on me!

I hope that you have enjoyed today's card and take note and 'Make Every MOMENT Count'!
