Festive Friday - Bright Snowflakes

Happy FriYAY!

Today I have a FLIPPIN' awesome Festive Friday card to share with you. It's an idea I've had floating round my head for a while, so it felt good to finally see it in real life.

I chose the Stencil - Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern from the Christmas in July Release as I felt I had neglected it a little compare to the Stencil - Ink & Flip Christmas Tree Pattern

I chose two of my favourite brighter colours, Honeysuckle and Oceanside, but in hindsight could have gone even brighter.

I love the frosted feel vellum gives to a card and added a panel over the top. Another reason why I chose bright colours as I knew the vellum would mute the colours a little.

I adhered a Simply Said Blocks Christmas sentiment to the vellum using foam tape and adhered the panel to my stencilled card using glue behind the sentiment strip to hide the adhesive. I finished with a trio of Sunflower enamel dots.

You can watch me make this card if you're unsure of how the Ink & Flip Snowflake Pattern works or you need a little reminder. I have a YouTube Short HERE

I'd love to know the colour combo you would use for this stencil.

12 Days Of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways Day 3 - Background Blocks Snow Flurry ❄️

 Hello & Happy Tuesday.

The countdown to Christmas is on and here at Uniko we kicked things off on the 1st with a Christmas Linky Party, be sure to check it out HERE

Yesterday we were full of Christmas Joy 🤩 so be sure to check out my blog post and video HERE and HERE

Today I am dreaming of a white Christmas and have some fun inspiration using Background Blocks Snow Flurry clear stamp that was released last month.

For my first card I was inspired by a layout by Kristina Werner I saw HERE on Pinterest. I loved the idea of adding Bakers Twine around the edge of the block with simple paper piercing.

I added a simple matching Bakers Twine bow adhered using Nuvo Drops and I added a fun sequin. My sentiment is from Christmas Sentiments stamped in Oceanside and I used scissors to create my own banner. A few tiny sparkly rhinestones finished my card.

My second card here today was created from a stamped piece I would normally discard in the bin! But I looked at it and thought I could create a fun shaker card with it.

I used a polaroid die I have in my stash, I'm unsure of which brand it is. Plus a selection of various sequins for the shaker element. The die cut snowflake is from Waffle Flower Small Snowflake  Die and I used the beautiful C9 Rainbow Glitter Paper which is so sparkly. My sentiment is from Christmas Sentiments.

Just like other years I have a daily video over on the Uniko YouTube Channel and you can watch today's bonus card using this clear stamp set HERE. Watch and comment over there for another entry into the giveaway 😃

Today I would love to know how you wrap your Christmas gifts. Do you go with a theme? Do you choose depending on who you're wrapping for or do you just go with whatever wrapping paper takes your eye in the shops?

I'd LOVE to know.

The giveaway prize today is snow much fun, a snow ❄️ themed Uniko goodie pack which includes a stencil, 2 clear stamp sets and a set of Uniko Designer Dies.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas in July

Good morning,

As it’s July, I’ve chosen to go with the Christmas in July theme for my Uniko Brand Ambassador inspiration. Uniko has lots of wonderful Christmas stamps and stencils (matching die sets available too!).

For my cards I have focussed on the Uniko Let It Snow stencil.

For my first card I have used Versamark ink through the stencil and heat embossed in white embossing powder, directly onto the Kraft card base. I then die cut a smaller rectangular piece of white card and used the inner word die from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow die set to cut the word snow towards the bottom of the panel. I used a separate piece of white card to stamp and heat emboss the snowflakes and 'let it' sentiment all from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set.

For this card, I started with a panel of white card and used glitter paste to create a fabulous background (so sparkly!). On a smaller piece of white card I heat embossed the sentiment and snow swirls from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set.

My final card uses a 'smooshed' background created using Picked Raspberry and Broken China Distress Oxide inks. Once dry I used Versamark ink through the stencil and heat embossed in white. On a spare piece of smooshed card I die cut the inner word die from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow die set and white heat embossed the smallest snowflakes from the Uniko Big & Bold Snow stamp set. I die cut the inner word from white card two more times and adhered them behind the smooshed one to create dimension. I adhered this to the outer word die cut from white pearl card, before adhering directly to the card front. Finally I added the rest of the sentiment from the Uniko Big & Bold stamp set, stamping this in Pickled Raspberry ink.

Which one catches your eye?

Much love

Merry Monday - Rainbow Snowflakes

Hello & Happy Monday.

I originally planned to make & share these yesterday, but I decided to enjoy more family time and simply ran out of day. So here I am, later than planned. But at least I have a trio of pretty rainbow snowflakes to share with you.

Restocks always inspire creativity and with the Stencil - Let it Snow arriving back in stock on Saturday, I was inspired to ink up one of the largest snowflakes from the stencil in a rainbow of colours. I then added Moonstone Glimmer Paste over the top. My sentiment choice is from Christmas Sentiments.

This then led me to use the Stencil - Large Snowflake Two which is a supersized version of the first snowflake.

I repeated the same process using a rainbow of ink colours through the stencil and then used the same Moonstone Glimmer Paste. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

And this led to my third card.

This time I used the stencil mask. This was a little more tricky, more so to add the paste over the top. I don't think I have pasted such a large flat area. And although it has a few little kinks to it, I think it turned out well.

That's all I have to share today, but there is LOTS more inspiration coming this week. Along with Uniko's version of Black Friday! Be sure to sign up to our newsletter via the website homepage HERE to be the first to know.

Hello December!

Hello & Happy December!

I hope you are all staying warm & well. The weather seems to have turned cold here all of a sudden and this morning, one Bean disappointedly exclaimed, 'where is the snow!' He really was expecting there to be snow today.

But he was soon distracted by asking if Buddy the Elf had arrived...

All the talk of snow inspired me and so I decided to create a card in the hope that snow arrives some time soon!

These photos don't really show the sparkle of the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake justice, but believe me, it's beautiful and makes my heart happy!

I kept my card really simple, using the Background Block Scattered Polka Dots stamped in Iceberg ink and then used the Let it Snow sentiment from Christmas Sentiments to finish.

It's been a busy few weeks here in the studio preparing for the start of 2023 and lots of other fun stuff that is under wraps for now. But believe me, it is exciting! So I 'hope' that things will start to calm down and I can share more creativity AND as it is the season of giving, a few giveaways along the way!

That's all from me today!

What's Hot & Restocks!

Hello & Happy Friday!

I thought I would share a couple cards using some of the hot products from the last couple of weeks. Christmas seems to top the list with Pattern Building Christmas Tree and the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake topping the list, so that's what I chose to get creative with.

First up, I decided to make a slimline card and I paired the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake with Snowflake Serenade.

Snowflake Serenade is perfect for slimline cards and to stamp it cascading down. Here I stamped in black and heat embossed with my favourite Stardust EP. I then used two shades of Aqua Copic Markers to colour the holly leaves.

The Sparkling Snowflake die cut was cut from Aqua card I had in my off cut stash box and I used a VersaMark pen around the edges to heat emboss with the Stardust EP. I've adhered the die cut with foam adhesive, as I have the sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

Next I wanted to give some fresh creative love to Pattern Building Christmas Tree.

It wasn't intentional at first, but it turned out to be a repeating theme of stamp & embossed elements with stamped and fussy cut elements.

I think it turned out quite fun! I used the same Stardust EP and also Nuvo Drops for the string of lights. I love the colours and slight domed effect the Nuvo Drops give.

Just the two cards from me today, but I know I will be back with more to share soon.

The other hot products are Paw Print Hearts. Sympathy cards are always a tough one and when I've looked there isn't a huge amount of pet sympathy products.

Plus, stars and geometrics in general are always a popular 'go to' for masculine cards, so it's no surprise that Background Builders Seeing Stars has been a hot product since it came back in stock.

And lastly, but by no means least our Mid Century Modern collection of products are still a popular choice. I might just have some things up my sleeve in relation to this collection, so keep your eyes peeled 😉

The following restocks are due back in the studio next week and are currently available on back order over on the website.

Background Blocks Scattered Polka Dots

Bee Happy

Christmas Sentiments

Christmas Wishes

English Country Garden Butterflies

Framed - Floral Vines

Paw Print Hearts

I will be sending a newsletter when they arrive.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Countdown to Christmas Day 14 - Still Dreaming...

 Happy Monday!

Eeeek... just 10 days till the BIG C! I can't believe how quickly these days are flying by. I feel fairly organised, but when I know I haven't got long the anxiety kicks in and my brain goes into overdrive thinking I've forgotten something, anyone relate?!

Anyway, I'm still dreaming of that white Christmas! Though I don't think there will be snow this year. Fingers crossed we get some at some point this Winter. So, to make up for the lack of snow I have another snow themed card ;)

I made this similar card above a couple years ago and it popped up on my Timehop and it inspired me to recreate it using the Uniko Stunning Snowflake Designer Die.

Like the card before I used the snowflake builder strip from Background Builders: Christmas. I was going to retire this stamp set, its been on the sale page & retiring list for so long. BUT, it's such a classic and a set I turn to year after year and so its staying!

My embossing went a little array and normally the perfectionist in me would do it again, but I actually like the dusty effect, it adds to the wintery snowy feel!

Just this one clean & simple card from me today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more to share. Oh, and did you see the Uniko 2020 Christmas Party? There is plenty of time to join in on the fun HERE :)

Thanks for stopping by today.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas cards or not

Bonjour !

It's Izzy here today with 3 cards using products of the last release. Needless to tell you that Christmas approaching, I make cards to add to my Christmas stash. Nevertheless, I'm quite often inspired by challenges around in blogland.

Lately I had a card to make as a DT for a challenge asking to use torn paper and I made the following card thinking that Uniko was still the sponsor. Here is the card.

I love this big and gorgeous Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake so I used it as the star of the show for this card. I cut one in a blue Vellum paper and another one in white paper that I covered with glitter.

I torned a strip in a white paper that has glittery incrusted and I adhered it to a blue iridescent panel. I foam mounted this panel on the double blue card and I adhered the snowflakes on top. The sentiment from the BIG & BOLD - Snow Clear set is stamped and heat embossed with white puff embossing powder.

For the following two cards, I've been inspired by the Twofer card challenge. They asked us to use holiday greenery, and I thought that the greenery of the Season of Beauty set was perfect to illustrate this challenge and to show the versatility of the Uniko stamps.

First I've made this Christmas card. I die cut a square in a red card stock and I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment on it. I cut a square in Vellum and I adhered the red square on top.

Both squares are adhered on the card. And to finish I coloured the berries with a red metallic gel pen. I love how the gold embossed greenery shine over the black card.

Although exceptionally we were allowed to enter two of the same occasion cards, I opted for a totally different occasion for the second card. This greenery is also beautiful on its own and I found it perfect for a grief card.

I cut a square panel and I stamped the greenery with a very dark grey, then I stamped the sentiment from the Pure Florals - Lily set.

On the double white card I embossed a square slightly bigger than the free panel. I cut a strip of Vellum that I fixed to the back of the panel with adhesive tape. I did the same with a thin black ribbon. To finish I flat adhered this panel over the white card and I glued a little black knot on the ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope this Christmas or not post will help you to use your Uniko supplies for different occasions. Just try and you will see what results !

Have a great crafty week !
