Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Snowflakes

Good morning everyone,

Steph here today with my Uniko Brand Ambassador Inspiration for this month.

We seem to be having a mix of weather in the UK from heat waves to all of a sudden very cold and autumnal weather and then back to warm weather again. So I thought I'd throw in a few snowflakes just to remind us that Christmas isn't all that far away...yes I'm trying to ignore that fact too!

My initial idea was to have three beautiful inked panels peeking through a die cut aperture of the snowflake but I really didn't like it once I had done so I resurrected the remainder of the panel and inset a beautiful silver snowflake instead. Here I have used Uniko Let It Snow stencil with white ink and Uniko Sparkling Snowflake die. The sentiment is from the Uniko Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

My next cards are slightly different as I didn't have enough of the remaining inked panels to use as above. So I adapted the design and used the snowflakes cut from the panels instead.

I like the patterned snowflakes against the plain card base for some CAS cards ready for Christmas. For these cards I have use Uniko Christmas Folk Snowflake stencil and Uniko In The Forest stencil.

Much love

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Stretch Your Stash

Morning All,

Steph here today. You may remember that last year I used my Uniko non-Christmas stamps to make Christmas cards (see here) and I thought I'd give it a go this year with my Uniko stencils. It's always good to see what other ways we can use our products and stretch our stash with a little 'outside the box' thinking!

My first card didn't take too much imagination as I thought the fabulous Uniko Layering Stencil - Zesty would fit beautifully as dried orange slices in a Christmas wreath. I teamed this with one of my favourite stamp sets, Uniko Winter Foliage

After a look through my Uniko stencils, I spotted that the Uniko Mid Century Modern Shapes stencil had the perfect shapes to 'build' a Christmas tree! A little stickles added some tree lights and a sentiment from Uniko Simply Said Blocks Christmas stamp set completed the card.

For my final card I used one of my favourite stencils and certainly not one you would class as a Christmas stencil, but it's perfect for an animal print lover at Christmas time! The stencil is Uniko Tiger Print and I have teamed it with Uniko Sparkling Snowflake die.

The good thing about this card method is you get two for one! Here I have used the die cut snowflake to make a second card.

I hope you have got your Christmas cards well under way but don't panic if not, all these cards are quick to make (but only if you like fussy cutting in the case of the first card!).

As this may be my last post pre Christmas, I will sign off by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Much love

Hello December!

Hello & Happy December!

I hope you are all staying warm & well. The weather seems to have turned cold here all of a sudden and this morning, one Bean disappointedly exclaimed, 'where is the snow!' He really was expecting there to be snow today.

But he was soon distracted by asking if Buddy the Elf had arrived...

All the talk of snow inspired me and so I decided to create a card in the hope that snow arrives some time soon!

These photos don't really show the sparkle of the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake justice, but believe me, it's beautiful and makes my heart happy!

I kept my card really simple, using the Background Block Scattered Polka Dots stamped in Iceberg ink and then used the Let it Snow sentiment from Christmas Sentiments to finish.

It's been a busy few weeks here in the studio preparing for the start of 2023 and lots of other fun stuff that is under wraps for now. But believe me, it is exciting! So I 'hope' that things will start to calm down and I can share more creativity AND as it is the season of giving, a few giveaways along the way!

That's all from me today!

What's Hot & Restocks!

Hello & Happy Friday!

I thought I would share a couple cards using some of the hot products from the last couple of weeks. Christmas seems to top the list with Pattern Building Christmas Tree and the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake topping the list, so that's what I chose to get creative with.

First up, I decided to make a slimline card and I paired the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake with Snowflake Serenade.

Snowflake Serenade is perfect for slimline cards and to stamp it cascading down. Here I stamped in black and heat embossed with my favourite Stardust EP. I then used two shades of Aqua Copic Markers to colour the holly leaves.

The Sparkling Snowflake die cut was cut from Aqua card I had in my off cut stash box and I used a VersaMark pen around the edges to heat emboss with the Stardust EP. I've adhered the die cut with foam adhesive, as I have the sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

Next I wanted to give some fresh creative love to Pattern Building Christmas Tree.

It wasn't intentional at first, but it turned out to be a repeating theme of stamp & embossed elements with stamped and fussy cut elements.

I think it turned out quite fun! I used the same Stardust EP and also Nuvo Drops for the string of lights. I love the colours and slight domed effect the Nuvo Drops give.

Just the two cards from me today, but I know I will be back with more to share soon.

The other hot products are Paw Print Hearts. Sympathy cards are always a tough one and when I've looked there isn't a huge amount of pet sympathy products.

Plus, stars and geometrics in general are always a popular 'go to' for masculine cards, so it's no surprise that Background Builders Seeing Stars has been a hot product since it came back in stock.

And lastly, but by no means least our Mid Century Modern collection of products are still a popular choice. I might just have some things up my sleeve in relation to this collection, so keep your eyes peeled 😉

The following restocks are due back in the studio next week and are currently available on back order over on the website.

Background Blocks Scattered Polka Dots

Bee Happy

Christmas Sentiments

Christmas Wishes

English Country Garden Butterflies

Framed - Floral Vines

Paw Print Hearts

Pattern Building Christmas Tree

Simply Said Blocks

I will be sending a newsletter when they arrive.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Dies, Stencils & Stamps

 Bonjour !

It's Izzy here with two inspiration cards that I'm combining with the current challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More where it's all about Stencils and/or Dies.

As I used Uniko products to make my DT cards, I wanted to give even more love to my Uniko dies, Stencils and Stamps.

For my first inspiration, I went with a shaker card. I get inspired by the Dream Factory challenge where it's about Stardust movie.

I started with the background blending purple and dark blue distress inks to make the sky. Then I used the star galaxy wave from the Reach for the Stars set that I stamped and heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.

Then I used the Seeing Stars stencil and with a white pencil, I drew the stars onto the background. And to give more shine, I speckled with a brush a mix of water and Perfect Pearls. Then I stamped and white heat embossed the second part of the sentiment that comes from the BIG & BOLD Wish clear stamp & die bundle.

I die cut (x3) a frame in white card stock and I glued an acetate sheet on the back to make the shaker card window. I put some tiny stars sequins on the background then I glued the window on top. In a white glittery paper, I die cut the Wish word from the BIG & BOLD Wish clear stamp & die bundle and  I glued it on the window.

To finish my card, I stamped with purple ink two stars from the Background Builders: Seeing Stars set. I  heat embossed them with clear glitter embossing powder, then I filled the blank with a gold gel pen before adhering them on the card.

With the end of year being in a bit more than two month away, I made my second card with one of my favourite stencil from Uniko : In the Forest.

On a watercolour card stock, I played with some Brusho powders. On top I stamped the swirling snowflake wave and the sentiment from the Snowflake Serenade set. Once everything was dry, I used the stencil In the Forest with Versamark ink and I white heat embossed the trees.

To finish my card, I flat adhered this panel on a double white card. In a white glitter paper I die cut the Sparkling Snowflake and I glued it on the card.

Now here is a sneak peek of the card I made for the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge, still using Uniko dies, stencil and stamps...

I hope that my cards inspired you to go and play with your Uniko products and to come and play along at Addicted to Stamps and More.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day !

Hello December & A Winner!

How did we get to the final month of the year?

I really don't know where November went, but one thing I am determined to see 2021 out with some festive fun, so you're really going to want to stick around and check in 😉 regularly!

So I am starting the day off with some festive creativity and a belated winner as I simply forgot to announce it, so my apologies 🙈

First up I have two cards to share using the prize going to one lucky person at the end of the post...

My first card I wanted to pair the Stencil - Mid Century Modern Shapes with Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake. I think they have paired together pretty well, especially with this icy aqua colour combo.

I used three shades of Altenew Sweet Dreams ink collection , Dew Drops, Aqualicious and Teal Cave. I added some sparkle to the snowflake and a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

As we've officially begun the countdown to Christmas I decided to put a festive spin on the Flower Power #5 stencil...

My idea is it represents a modern interpretation of a white Christmas rose. I used white pigment ink through the stencil and once dried I added yellow ink to the centre.

I then decided to add a sheen with embossing through the stencil with VersaMark & WOW Glossy Clear embossing powder. I then added a simple sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

Okay, so that's my creativity for today. How about we get to that winner...?

With the help of Random.org the lucky comment left on the post HERE is...

Wow, these are gorgeous stencils and very unique!

Congratulations 🎉 please send me an email with your postal address no later than Friday 17th December 2021 to claim your prize.

Thank you to all those who left comments and joined in on the fun. Don't worry, there is SO much more fun to be had this month :)😊

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas in August

Hello

It's Wiebke here with a new Brand Ambassador Inspiration for you!
Time for "Christmas in August"!

I don't know, how other countries govern the selling of all the sweet Christmas goodies like cookies and chocolate-stuff.... Here in Germany the supermarkets and grocery stores start to sell all these things usua at the end of August (but my family is not one of the first who needs to buy them!).

So, only a few days left until the christmas mood may start for some people!
I have a new Christmas inspiration for you, thereby you can join into the feeling too but without sweets and calories 😉!

I stamped the sentiment of the Festive Sentiments Outlined Set in a dark blue colour and covered the letters with a clear sparkling pencil.
The Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake I cut out of a colour fitting dark blue cardstock and covered it with sparkle too.

Another close-up of the sparkling sentiment.

I adhered the snowflake to the cardbase and embellished it with light blue rhinestone stickers. The bigger stickers in the inner circle fit in there perfectly.

A close-up of the dimensional embellishments.

Snowflakes and sparkle are always a great combination!
There are so many possibilities to add glitter and shimmer to the icy beauties. - This time we used a Wink of Stella brush and the rhinestones.

Next time maybe glitter glue, metallic foil, embossing powder, sequins or glitter flakes....
Which sparkling element is your favorite one?
When you check out all the possibilities, your christmas card production will be done in a very short time!

Hope I was able to inspire you a bit and make you starting early enough this year to be prepared and have a stress-free pre-christmas time!

Crafty greetings from Wiebke

Countdown to Christmas Day 5 - Sparkling Snowflakes

 Happy Weekend!

I know we are only on day 5 of the Christmas Countdown (and I have just realised I got ahead of myself yesterday HERE and have now edited my post), but since advent started the days just seem to be going quicker for me and I keep thinking of all the Christmassy things that I still want and need to do - LOL! Anyone else feel the same?

Today I am sharing a snowflake anniversary card. One of my new fitness friends saw that I made cards & commissioned me to make a card for her 8th Anniversary with her fiancé. They are both HUGE Disney lovers, so she requested something with a little inspiration from the film Frozen. This is what I came up with and I am super happy to report that her fiancé loved it!

If you don't know by now, I'll tell you again... I LOVE SNOWFLAKES! So I was in my element making this special card.

Of course I used all Uniko products ;) The large snowflake is the Designer Die - Sparkling Snowflake and I paired it with the coordinating stamp from Stunning Snowflakes. I used Altenew inks in Dusk and Sea Glass to stamp the snowflakes and added some of my favourite White Blizzard Glitter Nuvo Drops.

The centrepiece snowflake is inked and embossed with Stardust embossing powder for a little extra impact. I also lightly ink blended the edges of the snowflake. The sentiment is from Simply Said II and embossed in white onto a strip of Pacific Point card from Stampin' Up!

I have no doubt that you will be seeing some more snowflakes in the coming days as we continue the Countdown to Christmas ;) But for today, this is all I have to share!

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Uniko Brand Ambassador...Snowflake Shaker

Hello,
Carol here with my Brand Ambassador Inspiration post for March.

The calendar says Spring has sprung but, where I live, apparently Winter didn't receive the memo, as we're in the midst of yet another bout of snow and cold temperatures. More reason to stay inside and all the more reason to complete a card that I had started back in January! I know I 'should' be showcasing Uniko's gorgeous blooms but...the 'muses' called for something that befits the weather we're having! Let's just call it a 'winter' flower rather than a snowflake *grin*

Full-panel acetate-wrap shaker (so easy!) featuring: Let It Snow stencil background, Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake and a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks: Christmas.

Hopefully, March's blustery departure will herald a lovely April arrival (minus any April Fool's shenanigans)!

Brand Ambassador Inspiration - Christmas cards or not

Bonjour !

It's Izzy here today with 3 cards using products of the last release. Needless to tell you that Christmas approaching, I make cards to add to my Christmas stash. Nevertheless, I'm quite often inspired by challenges around in blogland.

Lately I had a card to make as a DT for a challenge asking to use torn paper and I made the following card thinking that Uniko was still the sponsor. Here is the card.

I love this big and gorgeous Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake so I used it as the star of the show for this card. I cut one in a blue Vellum paper and another one in white paper that I covered with glitter.

I torned a strip in a white paper that has glittery incrusted and I adhered it to a blue iridescent panel. I foam mounted this panel on the double blue card and I adhered the snowflakes on top. The sentiment from the BIG & BOLD - Snow Clear set is stamped and heat embossed with white puff embossing powder.

For the following two cards, I've been inspired by the Twofer card challenge. They asked us to use holiday greenery, and I thought that the greenery of the Season of Beauty set was perfect to illustrate this challenge and to show the versatility of the Uniko stamps.

First I've made this Christmas card. I die cut a square in a red card stock and I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment on it. I cut a square in Vellum and I adhered the red square on top.

Both squares are adhered on the card. And to finish I coloured the berries with a red metallic gel pen. I love how the gold embossed greenery shine over the black card.

Although exceptionally we were allowed to enter two of the same occasion cards, I opted for a totally different occasion for the second card. This greenery is also beautiful on its own and I found it perfect for a grief card.

I cut a square panel and I stamped the greenery with a very dark grey, then I stamped the sentiment from the Pure Florals - Lily set.

On the double white card I embossed a square slightly bigger than the free panel. I cut a strip of Vellum that I fixed to the back of the panel with adhesive tape. I did the same with a thin black ribbon. To finish I flat adhered this panel over the white card and I glued a little black knot on the ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope this Christmas or not post will help you to use your Uniko supplies for different occasions. Just try and you will see what results !

Have a great crafty week !
