Ink and Flip Inspiration Week - Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of the Uniko Ink & Flip Inspiration Week.

Hopefully you joined us on Monday for an introduction to Ink & Flip Inspiration Week HERE. And yesterday I was joined by the lovely Anita, HERE.

Today we have Izzy and Julie inspiring us, let's have a look and be sure to stop by their blogs for more details on their cards.

 Izzy

I love how so far we have all chosen to use a different Ink & Flip Stencil to showcase. This wasn't planned, we each have chosen a favourite to use!

Don't forget, as it's a special week, I thought I would offer all of the Ink & Flip Stencils at 20% off this week. A couple of the stencils that are out of stock are available on back order too.

Thank you for joining us today. Tomorrow we have the lovely Steph and Natalie on the blog to share more inspiration using these fun and creative stencils.

Two For Tuesday - Hexagonal Christmas

Happy Tuesday.

It's been a crazy start to Autumn here at Uniko HQ and I am hoping things are settling, in that I can start sharing more inspiration here and across social media.

Today I made time to make a couple of cards and I even recorded making one and have a YouTube Short HERE.

I fancied Inking & Flipping and turning it Christmassy.

For this card I was inspired by a layout I've used before HERE. As you can see I replaced the Chrysanthemum with the Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon.

I started inking with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. Cleaned the stencil, flipped and used Nuvo Glacier Paste in Golden Era.

I added a hand drawn string with a fine liner, added a sentiment from Christmas Sentiments and a bow stamped in Dragonfruit using the one from Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder.

Sometimes I like using a little bit of ribbon and these little tabs are one of my favourite ways to use it. It doesn't create bulk. I adhered the bauble layer to my card base using foam tape, 1mm thick.

Next up I wanted to use both layers of the Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon.

First I started with the bauble. I inked it with Dragonfruit & then Peacock. I also stamped the same bow and fussy cut both the hexagon and bow.

Next I went to the background layer. I inked with Honeysuckle and Oceanside to create a slightly softer feel to the colours. I added gold splatter using Gansi Tambi Starry Watercolours.

I stamped the same sentiment, drew a line for the bauble string before adhering the hexagon and bow using foam adhesive.

That's all I have today, but I would love to know which is your favourite of the two.

Retro Hex Glitter Baubles

Happy Festive Friday

Today I have a fun retro Christmas card to share with you. I had this idea last weekend at the Crafterama show in Lincoln. More so when I got my hands on these fabulous and super sparkly Funky Fossil Stellar Pastes.

I knew that I wanted to turn the Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon Layering Stencil focal point into a bauble. Originally I wanted to create a fully pasted bauble, but due to the depth of the paste, on the flip pasting the line definition inside the design was lost.

So I went with the second option of glittering just one side of each bauble. The colours of pastes I chose are Party Dress and Icicle Dreams, which I thought would pair lovely with Honeysuckle and Oceanside.

Once the baubles were inked, pasted and dried I fussy cut them out. I decided upon the bow from Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder, along with one of the sentiments from the stamp set. I drew the bauble strings with a dark grey fine liner.

It's not often I go for a DL site card, but I thought the size of the baubles worked better on this. What do you think?

That's all I have for today, but I will be sharing more over the weekend.

Happy Friday,

I'm so glad you have stopped by today as I'm absolutely delight to share with you a couple of peeks at some cards our guest for September, Ardyth has created using Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon Layering Stencil.

Let's have a peek at them...

From seeing the whole of each of these cards and the colours of these beauties I know for sure you won't be disappointed in heading over to Ardyth's Blog. Ardyth has made a lovely YouTube short for you to watch too.

I'm also delighted to share that Uniko has a feature in the latest issue of Simply Cards & PaperCrafts and it's all about the Ink & Flip collection!

A little snippet of the feature and one of the cards I made using the Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon Layering Stencil.

What perfect timing for both of these, you'd think I'd planned it with Ink & Flip Week 2 coming on Monday!

Stencil Sunday - Instagram Vote Result

 Happy Sunday 😃

So yesterday on Instagram I put a vote in my stories asking what I should use for today's Stencil Sunday feature.

The options were, Ink & Flip, Pure Florals, Flower Power or Geometric. I was keeping an eye on the votes and at one point it was a 3 way tie 😬 I did prepare myself for that, but in the end Ink & Flip won by one vote!

So here is what I made...

As you can tell I opted for the newest Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon Layering Stencil, though I opted to use just the detail hexagon layer.

I've actually had this layout idea in my head for a while to add a smaller hexagon detail with the tiny bee from Flower Power #9 and I chose the Just Because sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II.

Even though summer has decided to return again this weekend, I opted for some more autumnal yellow and orange tones, Spiced Cider, Cayenne, Sunflower and Stardust.

That's all I had time for today, but I will share the other cards I made today using 2 of the other options during the week.

If you haven't seen how this Ink & Flip works, be sure to checkout the video over on the Uniko YouTube Channel HERE.

Mid Century Inspiration from Guest Brand Ambassador Amy Tsuruta

 Happy Monday!

I'm absolutely delighted to be starting a new week with a wonderful Guest Brand Ambassador, the one and only, super lovely and super talented Amy Tsuruta.

Hello!

My name is Amy Tsuruta and I live in the United States in beautiful Washington state. I’m married to a great guy who is a hobby pilot.  I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember but things turned serious in 2001 when I volunteered to be my youngest's Preschool Scrapbook Coordinator.  Truthfully, I had never scrapbooked at that point.  Scrapbooking quickly turned into stamping  and cardmaking.  The Papercrafting Community is amazing and I’m so happy to be a part of it.

I'm happy to be guesting for Uniko and can't wait to share a couple projects with you!
Hello Friend.

I'm smitten with Uniko's Mid Century Modern Collection!

For my Hello Friend card I teamed up a Mid Century Modern color palette. The Background Blocks Linear have been heat embossed in gold on the pale pink panel. I layered a smaller spiced sider panel with an oval die cut. The sentiment from Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments has been heat embossed in gold on a dark brown strip.

Just Because.
I used the Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon Layering Stencil on this project.  What an amazing stencil that is easy to line up with gorgeous results.
I used distress oxides on 100 lb cardstock with blending brushes. The sentiment from Mid Century Modern Everyday Sentiments has been heat embossed in white on a green cardstock strip.

Thank you Amy for these stunning cards.

I think you will agree with me how inspiring they both are and for me it delights me to see how other crafters use the products I design.

I know that Amy has another card coming up on the 22nd August on the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog, so be sure to pop on over there on that day. I will also share the make across social media.

Have a wonderful Monday.

The first product I am excited to introduce is another addition to Uniko's innovative Ink & Flip Stencil line up, Ink & Flip Geometric Hexagon.

This design is a 2 stencil set, again offering a wealth of creative options. It's perfect for those masculine makes, but also breathes new life into previously released Uniko products like Background Builders Happy Hexagons and Bee Happy clear stamps.

Let's have a look at this new stencil in action...

That hop has my creative juices buzzing! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and I'd love to know what you think of this new addition to the Ink & Flip Stencils.

That's all for today, but don't worry we will be back tomorrow with LOTS more inspiration. This stencil, along with all the products being introduced this week will be available on the website Saturday 29th June 9am BST.
