Uniko Studio Announcement & May Reveal!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a good weekend & I am SO happy you have stopped by the blog today. Today I can make a little BIG announcement which has been quite hard to keep for the past week or so!

So without further ado I would like to introduce you all to the NEWEST Uniko Studio Design Team member ...

I'm am really HAPPY & honoured that Gayatri from Australia has joined the Uniko Studio DT. I just know your going to love seeing what Gayatri does using Uniko Studio products as I sure do! Be sure to stop by Gayatri's blog HERE and giver her a warm welcome!

Now I have made the announcement, how about some Uniko Studio Digital Releases Reveals?! Warning! Long post you may wish to take this opportunity to grab a drink, sit & relax!

First up is ...

Joyful Butterfly Collection £5.00
Copyright Uniko Studio 2012
www.unikostudio.co.uk

Joyful Butterfly is a digital collection which contains both patterned papers & digital stamps. The collection features 10 patterned papers which co-ordinate with Stampin' Up! colours Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Basic Grey & Very Vanilla. The papers come in JPG format in the download.

Joyful Butterfly is the first Uniko Studio digital download to contain digital stamps! There are 6 stamps contained in the download which are all images featured in the patterned papers, so they co-ordinate perfectly. The digital stamps contained in the download come as a brush (abr) file and also a transparent PNG file.

I have a little video later in the post which shows you how to load brushes in Photoshop (appropriate for Photoshop Elements users too)!

Next up is ...

English Country Garden  £4.75
Copyright Uniko Studio 2012
www.unikostudio.co.uk

English Country Garden is a digital stamp collection. The collection contains 2 sentiment stamps and 4 image stamps which come in both the formats mentioned above for the Joyful Butterfly Collection.

The final digital release this month is ...

Classics  £2.00
Copyright Uniko Studio 2012
www.unikostudio.co.uk

Classics is a digital paper collection which features classic patterns such as gingham, plaid and argyle. The collection contains the 6 paper patterns shown in the product swatch above in a classic colour combination red, white and blue! Quite appropriate here in the UK as we prepare for the up coming Diamond Jubilee Celebrations and the Olympics! Again the colours used in the collection co-ordinate with Stampin' Up! colours Pacific Point & Real Red.

Now I've done the introductions how about a couple of projects using some of the digital releases?!

For this first card I have used the butterfly and one of the sentiments contained in the English Country Garden collection. I started out by opening a new Ps (Photoshop) document and sized it to 14 cm wide by 10 cm high. I then loaded my Butterfly brush chose a size of 500 pixels and stamped the brush in the centre. I then reduced the size of my Butterfly brush to 450 pixels and stamped it either side of the middle butterfly. I then chose my sentiment brush and stamped it in the lower right of the document.

When I printed my document I also stamped another of the centre Butterflies to colour and cut out. The photo below shows a close up of this ...

For my second card I used English Country Garden again, but this time I used the Chrysanthemum image.

For this card I opened a new Ps document 10 cm x 13.5 cm. I started off by choosing the sentiment stamp and sized it to fit centred on the lower section of the white panel. I then chose the Chrysanthemum brush from the English Country Garden collection and stamped it twice along the right edge so that it over hung the panel.

After selecting my first colour (Tangerine Tango) I then used my paint bucket tool in Ps to fill the petals of the top flower. I then changed my colour to Daffodil Delight and filled the lower flowers petals. I then printed the section and trimmed to size to adhere to a Baja Breeze CS base. I then printed another Chrysanthemum flower onto one of the patterned papers from Joyful Butterfly and cut the flower out and adhered it to the card using foam adhesive.

For my last card to share with you today I used the Classics digital patterned paper collection ...

I chose to use the argyle pattern and cut a piece 10 x 14 cm and adhered it to a white CS base. I then cut a 10.5 x 14 cm piece of white CS and cut it at 2 cm width and 5.5 cm width and adhered the panels over the patterned paper using foam adhesive as shown above. Before I adhered the larger section I stamped the 'Celebrate' sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday and 'Time to' from Time. I also stamped the pocket watch image onto another patterned paper from the Classics collection and cut this out before adhering to the panel.

Before I go today I have one last thing to share with you all, it is my very first video showing you how to load & install brushes in Photoshop. I apologise for it in advance as I have never done a video before! I hope it helps & I did enjoy doing it so I might do some more in the near future!

I hope you have enjoyed the reveal post today?! Don't forget to stop by the Design Team blogs Aimes, Gayatri & Kerry to see what they have been up to using the NEW digital releases. All the products you have seen are now available for purchase from the website HERE.

I will be back tomorrow with a few more projects to share, until then thanks for stopping by!

Peeps Rocking Uniko Studio Stamps!

Warning! Long post you may want to grab a cuppa before you start reading! LOL!

Oh my, it's Wednesday! This week is zooming by, which is good as I'm looking forward to a weekend of friends, food & crafty time!

This weekend Kerry & I are headed down South to see our friend Wendy at The Stamp Attic. Along with spending time with Wendy enjoy cake & food we will also be both demoing in the shop in Saturday! Kerry will be working wonders with Copics and I will be showing people some fun stuff with Uniko Studio Time & Extra Time stamps!

Anyway, onto some eye candy! If you haven't checked this BLOG & this BLOG out before I highly recommend them! The first is The Stamp Attic Blog, Wendy has a FABULOUS design team who show an array of projects from CAS to grunge & all those in-between!

The second is Ruby's Blog, who is part of The Stamp Attic's DT. As The Stamp Attic is stocking Uniko Studio stamps Wendy passed some along to Ruby & just look ... such wonderful projects.

Hop on over to Ruby's Blog to find out the details of both of her cards.

Someone else is still enjoying & getting the most out of her Uniko Studio stamps & that is Gayatri!

Gayatri has paired Uniko Studio stamps with some other FAB supplies & you can check all the details about it over on her BLOG! I'm loving the mix & match of all the patterns plus I love the colour combo too!

There was one other fab thing about this & it the sketch, Gayatri gave the heads up about a NEW Sketch Challenge Blog that has just started. You can check it out HERE, it's called Retro Sketches. So I thought I'd have a play along too using some Uniko Studio stamps!

This is the sketch for the challenge ...

And this is my card ...

I started off by using PTI's Ric Rac Die to cut some scraps of Summer Sunrise, Hawaiian Shores & Raspberry Fizz CS. I adhered these to a mat layer of Soft Stone & White CS which is then adhered to the base layer using foam pads.

I then used my Sizzix Framelets Flower dies to cut the 3 smallest flowers. I then stamped the medium graphic flower on each flower using co-ordinating colours as the ric rac die cuts. I used a pearl brad to hold them all together & adhered to the mat layer using foam pads.

I used a SU! punch to punch out the sentiment once stamped & adhered this also to the mat layer using foam pads.

I love how you can achieve a whole new look just by using a few other crafty supplies such as dies & punches with your stamps to create a diverse range of projects!

Phew! Thats it from me today! I'll be back tomorrow though with another project! I hope that you have found some inspiration today!

Thanks for stopping by!

Still TIME to Celebrate!

WOW! I am overwhelmed and delighted with the response so far to the launch of Uniko Studio's debuting stamp sets!

Thank you to those who have purchased them, those who stopped by the demo day at The Paperlane and those who have taken the time to comment here on the blog & also email via the website.

I thought I'd share a couple more cards using the stamps.

For this card I masked off a section of the cog stamp using post it notes & double sided tape for the small areas inked the stamp and took the masking off before stamping. I then used the smaller trio of circles stamp to add some more turquoise and red spots.

Yesterday I forgot to say that the clock faces co-ordinate perfectly with a 1 3/4" circle punch or die.

Below is another super simple card using just one clock face & sentiment. I've used green which is a colour I don't use enough!

After stamping the white panel with the clock I simply added some faux stitching using a fine liner . The sentiment banner is adhered to the card using foam pads & has a couple of nail heads at either end.

I'll be back during the week to share more projects using the sets. Before I go today I just wanted to share a couple of cards made by my FAB design team that really wowed me!

Firstly this card from Kerry ...

The flowers & leaves on this card made me say WOW! I had not thought of using them like that and it's something I will be having a go at this week!

Secondly I had to share this card from Aimes ...

I love the simplicity of this design yet it has so much detail & really shows off the sentiment. Today Aimes has shared a couple more cards over on her BLOG using the sets and I just had to share this card too ...

Just look at how Aimes has created a lovely snowflake/doily image using the clock hands! Genius! With all the clock hands in both the sets you could create a multitude of different snowflake/doily patterns! Another thing I will be having a play at this week!

I just thought I would share an update too, the website shop now has an add to cart button for those in the USA & Rest of World so you can now purchase the stamps with ease!

Also Uniko Studio is on Flickr - see side bar with a group to add your Uniko Studio Stamped projects too & also it makes it easier for you to view what the DT has created!

Thanks for stopping by!

Uniko Studio Design Team - Kerry

WOW!

I'm truly grateful for everyone for leaving such lovely comments on the blog & I am glad there is some excitement out there about my new stamp company!

I'm back today to introduce the second FABULOUS Design Team member and without further ado I introduce you to Kerry.

Firstly I am truly grateful to be able to call Kerry a best friend and a true ROCK. I first met Kerry back in 2009 when I joined a local craft club after I found a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in my area. Since then Kerry & I have enjoyed some crafting fun & many a Jolly Girls Outing to craft shops around the UK.

Kerry's crafting style is FABULOUS & LAYERLICIOUS! Kerry's eye for detail is amazing, her Copic colouring skills to die for and the layers & usage of patterned paper is stunning. Not only is Kerry a DT member for Uniko Studio but you can also see her creations on The Stamp Attic Blog & The Paperlane Blog.

Kerry is one talented lady & I'm glad to have her as part of the team. You can also check out her creations HERE on her blog. Be sure to pop on over & be wowed! I've selected a few projects below which showcase her style.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the first peeks at the first Uniko Studio Stamp Sets being released on Saturday!
