I first met Faye at Happy Stampers Festivals and along with being a lovely person she is a Copic Marker whizz!

Faye shared a couple of cards using Pure Florals: Peony HERE earlier in the month and is back today on the website blog HERE, sharing another duo of cards. Be sure to head on over for some Copic Floral inspiration.

Make a Wish...

Hey & Happy Sunday!

I do hope you are all having a lovely weekend and have found some time to craft. I had a little bit of unexpected 'bean free' time yesterday afternoon, so I took advantage and after a little power nap (it has to be done) I set to making a card just for fun.

I came across THIS card on Pinterest by Maile Belles. I love the layout of the card, the stamped roses from behind the angled panel. It reminded me of the rose image from Flower Power #6

I saw the new challenge over at "Less is More" HERE too, which this week is a colour week and they have chosen ombre. I was looking through my supplies and decided I would give my Copic markers a dust off to create my ombre background.

I chose a trio of pinks, RV10, RV13 and RV14. I used the chisel edge of the pen and worked from light to dark and then back to the lightest. It was a reasonably quick process. The roses are stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with detail white EP. The mini rose and leaves are from Background Builders: Vines and the sentiment from Pure Florals: Cosmos. The complete supplies can be found at the end of the post.

Did you see the return of a past feature HERE on the blog yesterday? Design Team Inspiration is back and Rahmat started things off again for us. Other members of the Design Team will be popping in through the month with various projects to inspire you too. I hope you are pleased to see the return of this feature! I have plans to reintroduce others from way back yonder too ;)

Ok, that is all from me today. I hope to find some crafty time tonight to unwind as I am on my own with the beans today as daddy is doing some extra work to pay for Christmas! Lol!

Thanks for stopping by.

CAS - Colours & Sketches #189

Hey!

It's a new month over at CAS Colours & Sketches and we have a new hostess Karen, with some fabulous challenges for us. To start things off Karen has come up with this lovely colour combo HERE and seen below for you to try...

Karen's thinking for these colours is back to school, hence the primary colour choice. I don't have any back to school themed cards or necessity to make them (yet!). So I opted for a doodle flower thank you card...

I used Uniko Fun Flowers for the stamped panel, masking a rectangle first then stamping the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then selectively coloured the flowers using Copic markers in the 3 primary colours.

I added a little Wink Of Stella to the coloured sections and raised the panel using foam adhesive onto a white card base.

By only selectively colouring the flowers, a simple non fussy sentiment and a white card base helped to keep a busy 'ish' stamped panel CAS.

Ok, that's all from me for now, I hope I have inspired you to give these colours a go and join in on the challenge this week. Be sure to stop on over HERE and check out what the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT have done using the colours and I hope to see you in the gallery.

Thanks for stopping by today.

They're Back!

Hey!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is super happy for this news that I have to share today on the blog, so without further ado I'm pleased to say that Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time is back in stock HERE. I know that many have been waiting for this set & your wait is over!

Edit 13:30 hrs *** Stock updated & available to order!

With that I thought it appropriate to use them to make this card...

It just so happened that the current "Less is More" challenge HERE and seen below (as it's a sketch challenge) was perfect inspiration.

I decided it was about time to that I made a start on my Christmas cards for this year too, so I used a sentiment from Pure Florals: Poinsettia and added a good dose of glitter...

That's all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then thank you for stopping by :)

Retro Sketch #22

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I'm not quite back on schedule as I have been quite glued to the TV watching the Olympics! I've never really paid a huge amount of attention to the Olympics in the past, maybe watching only a few things now & then. This year I seem to be hooked, it could be partially due to it being hosted on home soil, but I am genuinely more interested than before. It's been a FAB day so far for Team GB with the women's rowing securing the 1st GOLD for the team.

Anyway, I'll get to the point of todays post & share my card ...

I stepped out of my comfort zone for this card & used Orange! It's been popping up here & there in my creations & I love colouring this Gerbera flower in the colour! I paired it with a FAVE of mine Hawaiian Shores, a pleasing crisp cheery combination.

I used the current Retro Sketch HERE & seen below for my card LO ...

Below is a little close up of the card ...

I'm also entering this card into the current Addicted to Stamps challenge HERE to use your markers!

Short & sweet today as I can hear the mens cycling time trials have started & we have a strong contender in this event Bradley Wiggins!

Have a fun filled day! Thanks for stopping by today.

May Sneak Peek 1

Hey!

I'm SO happy you have stopped by the blog today, I have a little Sneak Peek to share with you of a NEW digital download collection which will be available on the website Monday morning at 9am GMT. So, without further ado here it is ...

What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing more of this collection on Monday?! Not long to wait! Until then I do have a card to share with you all today...

I thought FONTiment Fancies - Swirls & Flourishes needed a little inky love! I started off by marking out the centre of the card panel with a light pencil line. I then stamped the top flourish, sentiment and then rotated the flourish stamp and stamped it again to frame the sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday

I then used Memento London Fog ink to stamp the Lattice. I used a Copic marker BG07 to colour the middle section of the Lattice. A few rhinestones finished the card off. A simple card which can be switched up for different occasions. I think this could be a stylish yet elegant Wedding card.

Thats all I have to share with you all today, be sure to pop by tomorrow for the next Sneak Peek! Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes ...

Hey!

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days. I've been spending some time with my hunny for his birthday weekend & would like to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today!!

Anyway, I managed to squeeze in a little inky time while the football was on last night to make this birthday card for him ...

I used 2 challenges for this card, firstly a retrosketch sketch HERE and also the Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge HERE. Below are the two inspiration pictures ...

The last NEW set for my focus which was released last month from Uniko Studio is Background Builders Lattice. I love this set & it has SO many possibilities! I used 2 sentiment stamps from Fontiments - Birthday too. I stamped the lattice in Memento Black ink and coloured the in lattice using 3 Copic colours matched to The Play Date Cafe Challenge. I then stamped the individual lattice stamps coloured them & cut them out & adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. A few dew drops finished the card nicely. A modern masculine card!

That's all from me today, I'm off to spend some more quality time with my hunny as it's his birthday today & while he is off work too! Were off out for pizza & a movie - yum! I'll be back tomorrow with another card using this set combined with a previously released set!

Thanks for stopping by!
