FABulous 50!

Hey!

Tonight I 'made' myself sit down and create! These beans are exhausting at the moment, literally full of BEANS! So, once they have gone to bed and I've tidied up the whirlwind of toys that has passed through the house I have been too tired to sit and create :(

Anyway, I needed to make a couple of cards so while I was at it I decided to make a card (all be it a little late) for the wonderful Sandie (a Uniko DT Alumni), who turned 50 on Monday...

There are a couple of link ups in blogland to celebrate Sandie's birthday. First up HERE at Kylie's blog and HERE at TIME OUT Challenges, who have a CAS with optional twist of use purple theme.

As you can see by my card above I decided to use the optional twist of purple. I used 4 different shades, stamping various tiny flowers from Background Builders: Vines, adding green leaves also from the set and swirls from Natures Treasures II.

The sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments #3 with the '50' from Classic Numbers and embossed with Stardust EP. I kept my card one layer and added a few rhinestones to add a little more sparkle and fill a few gaps.

I came across a new to me challenge too called CanYouCaseIt? and decided to play along their too with the current sketch seen HERE and below.

That's all from me tonight, I am determined to make a couple more cards before I call it a night and crash in front of the TV!

I'll be back tomorrow though with this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches creation, until then, thanks for stopping by :)

CAS Colours & Sketches #170

Hey!

Sorry I have been so quiet creatively this past week, with being ill and then the anniversary of my mothers death this week I haven't been feeling so great. I have spent time organising and preparing for Happy Stampers Festival and will share some photos soon ;)

Anyway, I'm back today with my design team card for this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches challenge HERE. This week is colour week and our hostess this month Louise has chosen this colour combo to inspire us...

Though the combo features a favourite of mine, turquoise I was a little stumped at first with the theme of my card!

This is what I came up with...

With the Happy Stampers Festival fast approaching I have some more restocks coming at the weekend, English Country Garden Butterflies & Natures Treasures II being a couple of them. So I thought I would give them some LOVE and I think they suit the colours too :)

I needed some extra help with my creativity, so I turned to the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and above for my card.

After colouring sections of the butterfly in with my SU! markers, I added some clear Wink of Stella and I went overboard on the tiny rhinestone embellishment to the swirly leaves ;)

Ok, that's all from me today, I will be back with the design team and guest designer with a Uniko Challenge reminder. Until then, thanks for stopping by and hope to see you HERE in the CC&S gallery :)

Snowflakes & Flourishes!

Hey!

Happy Monday, I do hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was a fabulous one here in the studio with the October Release, if you missed it you can still catch up on all the fun HERE and there is still time to comment along the hop & be in the chance of winning the entire release.

Ok, so the Stunning Snowflakes are back (sorry), I don't think they've made it back onto the shelf yet!

This time I paired them with FONTiment Fancies - Swirls & Flourishes and I think they go together perfectly.

I saw the current colours over on Dynamic Duos HERE and seen below and thought I'd use them of my card. Purple is not a colour I reach for often, but when I do I really like the results.

Short & sweet from me today, as I've lots to do thanks to all the lovely customers who have visited Uniko Studio over the weekend THANK YOU :) I'll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then thanks for stopping by today.

Sometimes ...

Hey!

Sometimes things just don't go to plan, thats applies both to my week so far & this card that I have to share with you today...

For this card I used the current challenge over on 'Less is More' which is to use their blog logo as inspiration ...

When I first saw the challenge and looked at the logo I had planned to make a card using Kraft, White & Black but ended up using Soft Stone & Black instead! I concentrated on the Flourishes in the logo & the Fancy Script so I used FONTiments - Birthday & FONTiment Fancies Swirls & Flourishes.

Lets hope the remainder of my week goes to plan as we're off to the British F1 this weekend & are camping in this crazy British weather! I'm packing for all the seasons we may encounter, I just hope I can fit it all into the car!

I'll still be here on the blog with some scheduled posts so be sure to pop on by. Thanks for stopping by today.

The Uniko Studio Saturday Show!

Happy Weekend!

I'm back today to share a few cards that I have spotted around blogland that use Uniko Studio stamps in such FAB ways!

First up is Pauline ...

Just look at this pastel beauty using Background Builders - Lattice, it looks good enough to eat! I love that Pauline has combined 3 of the lattice designs to build a background too. Pauline is also the creator of this next beauty ...

Lovely PINK doily goodness on this card! Love the die cut decorative edge too, it works lovely with the largest doily pattern.

Next up is Ardyth ...

I just love the large graphic flower embossed in glossy black against the rainbow background, stunning! Must get me some black glossy embossing powder!

How about some FONTiment Fancies - Swirls & Flourishes paired with FONTiments - Birthday? Just look at this CAS design from Sue in such a classic colour combo ...

Camilla has WOWed me again with this card using Background Builders - Lattice a clock face from  Extra Time & the graphic flowers from Time ...

I love the colour combo plus how Camilla has cut out the Lattice panel, FAB! Camilla also has this beauty in her Flickr account ...

Hearts & Doilies a perfect combination!

Thank you ladies for creating such loveliness using Uniko Studio stamps! I LOVE to see what you all create so don't forget to drop me an email or link via the comments to your creations!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Colourful Swirls & Flourishes

Hello!

Today I have a colourful one layer card to share with you. I used the current colours over at ColourQ which I really enjoyed using. Here are the colours ...

I don't own Soft Sky so I substituted it for Pool Party which is a very close match. Here is how I used the colours ...

I used Swirls & Flourishes from FONTiment Fancies & paired it with 2 small doilies from Decorative Doilies - The Hands of Time & also a sentiment from FONTiments - Birthday. A few tiny rhinestones added a bit of sparkle!

I hope your all having a lovely weekend & find some time to get inky! Thanks for stopping by today.

Feeling Fancy!

Hey!

I'm back today with some 'Fancy' cards to share! Continuing with my daily focus on a NEW Uniko Studio product, today I have focused on Fontiment Fancies - Swirls & Flourishes. As the name of the set goes it pairs well with Fontiments - Birthday, so it only seemed right that I used those too!

The stamps in this set are great for creating fancy frames for sentiments! As you can see in the card below.

There is a lot of white space on this CAS card, but using bright colours to stamp the flourishes with a bold black sentiment really draws your focus to this part of the card.

This next card also has quite a bit of white space, but I decided to mat the stamped piece onto a coloured card base for that added colour splash!

For this card I used one of the larger flourishes & one of the medium swirls. Another sentiment mix from Fontiments - Birthday. I should have finished the inside of the card & when I do I will stamp the sentiment 'it's your birthday'.

For this last card I used the large bracket stamp. First of all I cut a panel the same size as my card front & marked the centre before I stamped the bracket 3 times. I then cut the panel following the contours of the bracket.

I then stamped the cluster of swirls & flourishes and another sentiment combination from Fontiments - Birthday. Now, that I am looking at this card as I type it has sparked another card LO using the same stamps!

As you can see there was a bit of a colour theme going on! I came across The Play Date Cafe's current challenge HERE. Such a bright & cheery colour combination I decided to play along!

That's all I have to share for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with another product focus and cards to share! Thanks for stopping by today!
