Snowflake Serenade - 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways Day 12

Happy Thursday.

Welcome to the final day, day 12 of the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways. I hope you have enjoyed the inspiration and there is still time to comment across social media to be in the chance to win.

When I was thinking about what to use for my post and product today, I realised I haven't used any snowflakes. And for me Christmas involves snowflakes. So it was time to dust off Snowflake Serenade and give it some fresh inky love.

Here's what I came up with.

I fancied ombre blues today, selecting Powder, Harbor, Blueberry and Midnight. I then ink blended them onto a piece of white card.

I then placed this into my stamping platform and positioned the snowflake serenade, sentiment and a trio of accent snowflakes before inking with Encore Silver ink and heat embossed with Stardust EP.

A pretty simple, pretty quick, super sparkly snowflake card to add to the Christmas card stash. If you fancy watching me make this card, I have a YouTube short HERE

Before I go, the giveaway. Be sure to leave a comment by 31st July 2025 for your chance to win the Snowflake Serenade I've used on this card. If you are the lucky winner picked randomly from comments left across Uniko’s social media and already own the products, an alternative will be offered.

Winners will be announced first week of August 2025.

12 Days Of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways - Day 10 Framed Fairy Lights

 Hello & Happy Tuesday.

Today I am bringing the light and the colours to hopefully brighten your day. I thought it was only right that I used another clear stamp set from the Uniko November Release, Framed - Fairy Lights. It deserves to shine and be in the limelight!

For my card today I wanted to show the lights used without the frame. I simply stamped the framed lights onto a smaller panel, heat embossed with my favourite sparkly EP Stardust and mat layered the panel onto black card.

I coloured the lights with a rainbow of alcohol markers and added a sentiment from Festive Sentiments Outlined. I coloured the sentiment with a black fine liner and adhered to the card using foam tape for impact and dimension.

Question for you here on the blog, can you spot how many lights I missed adding colour to? You'll have to look carefully as with the loops of wire they are hard to spot!

I am still having technical issues and need my husband's help again with my video for today, so it'll be uploaded this evening when he gets home from work!

Rainbow Wreath

Happy Wednesday 😃

I'm here today to get you over the mid week hump with a Mid Century Modern beauty. This week Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder is the Card Of The Week product with 15% off HERE

This is the card featured on the website.

I couldn't resist inking it up today but in rainbow colours. It was quite grey and overcast here to start, but by the time I had finished this card the sun had come out.

I used the same technique to create the rainbow of colours that I demonstrated in my video HERE the other day. I love how it turned out.

Once I had stamped the rainbow I then stamped the outline version of the wreath and heat embossed with Stardust EP. I gave the same sparkle treatment to the bow and sentiment also from the set which I fussy cut and adhered using foam tape.

That's all I have to share today, mummy duties have taken priority with a poorly Bean in the house. I'll be back later in the week with more to share.

You Can Never Have Too Much Joy

Happy Tuesday.

Thank you all for filling me with joy.

All your lovely comments, support, love and orders, you have truly made this little Uniko business owner feel full of joy. It really is a dream come true to bring you my ideas and designs and to have them received so wonderfully by you.

My heart smiles every time I see something I design used to make a card, tag or however you use it creatively. So thank you.

Ok, now to some more inspiration.

I shared this card late last night on Instagram, it was a fun filled day of order packing, but I did manage to squeeze in this card! I felt I needed to give BIG & BOLD Joy some inky love.

I love an ombre card & this came together pretty quick, even with the fussy cutting! I kept the embellishing simple with the little foliage image stamped in Evergreen and Parsley. The joys were stamped in Ballet Slipper, Poppy and Cranberry.

I had so much joy making this card, I went ahead and made another one today, which makes up for not giving this set the love on release day!

Again I went for clean & simple, but I couldn't resist adding the Christmas sparkle. Once I heat embossed the sentiment I embellished with some stamped holly from Winter Foliage.

I hope these two cards bring you joy today.

Happy New Year!

Happy Monday & Hello 2024.

Today I want to wish you ALL a very happy, healthy and creative New Year. I hope you all enjoyed the festive period and you are looking forward to what 2024 will bring. I'd say we had a quiet festive period & New Years Eve, but can you really with two 9 year olds 🥴😂

I'm learning to sneak away for a little quiet time and making a quick card like this one today...

I've reached for my 'go to' clear stamp sets for New Years cards, Big & Bold Happy and Organic Wishes, which is perfect for fireworks.

I stamped & heat embossed the Organic bursts with sparkly Stardust embossing powder before adding a little colour of Light Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay.

I finished off with the Big & Bold Happy die cut in Grapefruit & White card adhered using foam adhesive, along with the New year stamped & embossed in sparkly Stardust to match the fireworks.

Have a lovely day & I hope you find time to create today.

Introducing... Framed - Snowflakes

Welcome to Day 4 and the final day of the product introductions for our October Release.

Today I am introducing a new addition to our Framed Series and hopefully a clear stamp set that fills a snowflake gap in the Uniko clear stamp line up!

Just like the other sets in the Framed Series, this clear stamp set features a main frame stamp filled with new pretty snowflakes with a gap left for your chosen sentiment. There are also 4 individual snowflake stamps perfect for adding details and creating your own beautiful backgrounds.

For my first card today I started with an Aqua Sky card panel. I then used Distress Oxide Ink in Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet to create a spotlight effect for my sentiment. After my ink blending was dry, I left it overnight, but you could heat set. I then went to stamping the frame in VersaMark ink and heat embossing in white.

I then stamped my sentiment from Most Wonderful before fussy cutting the frame out before adhering to my white card base with double sided tape. I also stamped a trio of individual snowflakes, heat embossed and fussy cut them to adhering with foam adhesive.

For my second card today I wanted to feature the individual snowflakes for a clean & simple design. I started by masking off a section on my base card and then ink blended Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet.

I then stamped the snowflakes and my chosen sentiment from Stunning Snowflakes in Nocturne ink & heat embossed with Stardust embossing powder. Simple, but with lots of sparkle!

That's all I have to share just now, but I will be back this afternoon with more to share & this weeks instalment of our 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration & Giveaways! I do hope you will pop back then to see what I am making and watch my video to find out about this weeks prize.

If you missed Day 1, Day 2 and day 3 product introductions, you can catch up HEREHERE and HERE. So that's all the introductions, which means tomorrow is release day. They will be available 9pm BST and we will have our usual Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & Giveaway at 9am BST here on the blog.

Merry Mid Century Modern Monday!

Hello & Happy Shiny New Week.

I thought I would kick off the week with a festive Mid Century Modern make. I've had this sparkly Mid Century Modern Squares background made for a while and it has just been sat waiting for the perfect addition.

Then on Saturday it came to me that I hadn't inked up Season Of Beauty for a while and that the layered poinsettias and foliage would look lovey against the dark sparkly background.

It's a little busier than my usual CAS style, but I think the sparkly background adds to the festive feel. What do you think?

I used Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel through the Stencil and I used Concord & 9th inks in Cranberry, Poppy, Honeysuckle, Evergreen & Wheat for the stamping. I kept the card sentiment free as I felt that would have been a bit much, instead I will stamp the sentiment inside the card.

It's a fun and busy week in the studio, lots of designing new products for 2023 and so many exciting things happening for Uniko next year too ;) That's all I can say for now!

I'll be back later this week.

Countdown to Christmas Day 7 - Merry Monday!

 Happy Monday!

Welcome to day 7 of the Uniko Countdown to Christmas. Today I am in a Merry mood as I feel like I am almost caught up on various things in the studio & with Christmas! So I am following suit with my Merry mood and sharing some BIG & BOLD Merry Christmas cards with you...

My first card is super CAS and is really easy to make when you have a stamping platform, so even though it looks time consuming, it isn't. It is a design easy to mass produce and with the Altenew layering ink collections, the colour varieties are easy and effortless too!

For this card I used Rouge, Crimson & Velvet from the Red Sunset ink collection and I also stamped and embossed the last Velvet layer with my favourite Stardust embossing powder. The layers of coloured card are what I had in my scrap box and they match the ink colours really well.

For my next card I again went CAS and this time with a non-traditional colour scheme. The BIG & BOLD Merry is stamped in Aqualicious ink from the Altenew Sweet Dreams collection. The coloured card stock layer is Concord & 9th Aqua Sky.

I drew two pencil lines to be able to stamp the little string of lights from the set and then used Nuvo Drops in pastel shades to colour the baubles.

That's all from me today, but I hope you're having a Merry Monday! I will be back again tomorrow with more to share.

CAS Colours & Sketches #293 - Sketch

Hey!

This month at CAS Colours & Sketches we have another multiple hostess month. This week Jeanne is our hostess and has this weeks sketch for you HERE ...

Still way behind on my Christmas card making I had already decided that todays card needed to be festive!

I've been wanting to combine the Large Background: Scattered Polka Dots with the Designer Die Snowflake Trio for an age and todays sketch seemed the perfect time to do this. So here is what I came up with...

I decided to dust off my 'festive' embossing powders and my favourite Star Dust powder by Stampendous! (this stuff is probably about 15 years old - Lol!) I partially stamped the Large Background: Scattered Polka Dots in Encore Silver pigment ink and then embossed with the Star Dust EP.

The snowflake is die cut from Stampin' Up! Costal Cabana card and I used my glue pen to add glitter around the edges. The sentiment is from BIG & BOLD - Snow.

That's all from me today, I hope thatI have inspired you to join in on the challenge?! If you need a little more inspiration, pop on over HERE to see what the CC&S Design Team have created.

I am always truly honoured to be approached by editors to design digital stamps and have my cards featured. I also love sharing things for free, which brings me on to the feature in Cards & Crafts for Christmas....

I also LOVE snowflakes, glitter and sparkle, so when I received the brief my heart skipped a beat and these are the snowflake digital stamps I came up with and a snippet of the feature from the magazine...

CAS Colours & Sketches #259 - Sketch

Hey!

Welcome back to another fun challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. Patricia is your hostess for February and this week HERE she has this fun sketch to inspire you...

As soon as I saw the stripes on the sketch it firstly reminded me of the line stamp contained in Simply Said Blocks and I thought of it rainbow style. However, they also reminded me of the inspiration challenge over at Time Out Challenges seen HERE and below.

So I decided to combine the challenges to create my card for today. As you can see I was totally inspired by the black and white stripes, the LOVE word, hearts and gold. Basically the whole inspiration photo!!

I've kept to the sketch exactly and think both the inspiration and sketch went hand in hand. Love it when that happens ;)

I put my MISTI tool to good use stamping the lines, though my measurements went a little off at one point :( Hopefully it isn't too noticeable!

That's all from me today, I hope thatI have inspired you to join in on the challenge?! If you need a little more inspiration, pop on over HERE to see what the CC&S Design Team have created.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

Happy2018

Happy 2018!

I LOVE New Year, a blank page and a fresh start for the year ahead is so exciting. With all the festivities of Christmas and the New Year I enjoyed some much needed downtime and family time. Hence the quietness on the blogs and website. I am feeling refreshed, relaxed and super excited for the year ahead.

I managed to squeeze in a little creative time to make this Happy New Year card...

I have more photos of it over HERE on the website blog, where I am also sharing the Top 5 products of 2017.

I hope you all have a wonderful New Year's Day and I look forward to sharing more with you in  the coming days.
